I saw it on TikTok and it looked amazing so I made a trip. When I 1st walked in I saw them carrying these amazing fries to a table and knew I picked the right place. Yelp & website had a few menus so I wasn't sure how to order what I wanted but the guy taking the order helped me out and was patient. I ordered the "hot" half chicken (white) w/ rice, falafels "hot", French fries & then the chunky chocolate ice cream after. The "Hot" is spicy for me & I love spice so next time I'll get medium. The chicken is grilled and covered in that great sauce but it's also extremely juicy & has soo much taste. Even without the sauce it would be great chicken. You don't expect a high quality French Fries at an Indian chicken place but they're here so get the seasoned ones. They also have some loaded options which I didn't get but with the sauce and meat; I'm sure they're great. The falafels & rice were ok. They also had hot sauce and a cream sauce on the side I would buy if they bottled it. Not sure the exact name of the ice cream but it was one of the only chocolate options and it was very good as well. The inside is simple like any fast food place. It was packed when I went on a Saturday, mostly families so that was nice. I had to sit at a table around 1p but the glare from the solar panels on the roof next door directed the sun right into your eyes but that's only a few tables and probably only for a few hours midday. I don't give 5/5's often so I'm really excited to go back and see if they're consistent but I don't see they're tastes changing so I'll be back even though I have to go 45mins out of my way to get there. read more

My first time eating Tribos was in Artesia, California. I tried their medium hot wings and fell in love with the taste. I ordered Uber eats appetizer sampler that included medium wings, fries, jalapeño poppers, fried mac and cheese, and falafel. Wings were my favorite out of them all! I also ordered boneless lamb bowl with large yucca fries on the side. These don't travel as well unless you air fry the yucca fries. The lamb bowl was just alright. I would mostly order their chicken and garlic sauce (the big cup) and go ham on that! I also got their berry soda which was just ok. Overall a fantastic experience I'm sure the service and ambiance is just as good. read more

We were super excited to try something new. We saw this place and decided it looked great. You order at the counte, pay and then sit and they bring you the food. The service was great. Now the food. It was just okay for me. The chicken was cooked perfectly but the sauces were all mediocre and just spicy. It was really missing something. We got seasoned fries which were ok. Citrusy with some mild heat. They have a garlic sauce you can use which I did to cool down everything. The fries were adequate. We got the perimayo corn which was fresh tasting but the sauce was heavy and creamy without any depth. We tried the falafel which is glazed with their citrus sauce. It was alright but the sauce took away the crispness. Over all this place may be worth a try but we wouldn't go twice. The food is hot and fresh but missing any real flavor besides heat and citrus. We got half a chicken and two sides - corn and yuca fries. The chicken was PHENOMINAL. That's all. We asked hot, we got HOT - Very happy with that. Thank you so much! We needed to abuse that garlic sauce to tone it down a bit. The corn was tasty, you eat this with a spoon. Don't try a fork, you'll make a mess. YUCA FRIES, family I can eat those all day and get dumb fat. Order at the counter, they bring you the food, but they don't tell you what to do next... No trash that I saw? Calling and placing the order was quick and easy. You also didn't have to wait long for the order to be ready. When you go in the place inside is semi dark, not much lighting and it's not a place to sit and enjoy your order. The food was just okay for me, I waited until I order a 2nd time before reviewing. The first time I ordered it was their chicken sandwich with the lemon herb sauce and Peri fries, I did have to ask what was the difference between regular and peri fries website doesn't note the difference. Unfortunately, the lemon herb sauce was overpowering, didn't enjoy the taste and it made the crispy chicken soggy. The fries were delicious. The second time I ordered it was an empanada and the lemon herb sauce was added to it, I thought that when I asked for the sauce it was for the chicken wrap, but apparently they added to both. The empanada didn't taste good at all, the lemon taste was too strong. The chicken wrap became soggy, not pleasant tasting and they should have cut the wrap in half, easier to hold and a bit more "finesse". Overall it was okay but not for me. read more

This place is great - and they know how to do "spicy"! My standard when I go here is the Chicken Sizzler - a delicious chicken sandwich with peri peri barbecue sauce. It's got amazing flavor, and you can choose your spice level. Their hot and extra hot levels are... actually hot, which is refreshing. There are a ton of places out there that promote "spicy"; but someone like me (who loves spicy) is often let down when it's not hot at all. Their prices are also very reasonable. The place is kept clean and there is plenty of seating available. It's a good spot for grabbing lunch alone or bringing a small group to grab some food. The employees are very fast and friendly with taking your order and getting it ready. If you are a peri peri and / or spicy chicken fan, you need to try this place! read more

My first visit to a restaurant in this chain was a pleasant surprise and a delicious experience, and I'm going to be watching for these as I drive around the Northeast US. The chicken was moist and tender, and the level of spiciness I selected was perfect for me. The meal came out quickly, though if I had known better I would have added more sides to my order. This particular one can be a bit challenging to enter, since you can only access it on MA-9 going eastbound, and the entrance into the plaza containing it comes up on you quickly. Surprisingly Peri peri chicken has made it to Mass. Peri peri chicken is grilled chicken marinated in hot pepper sauce originated from South Africa. My star rating is solely based on the food but I'll share my overall experience nonetheless--perhaps additional feedback to the business if they see this. I swung through on the soft opening of Tribos Peri Peri chicken. My experience during the soft opening was underwhelming unfortunately. During the time of my visit, it was a huge turnout and very limited seating for the amount of guest that came in. As you walk in, you just place your order and once ready they'll bring it out. Of course, with a brand new restaurant, we expected service to take a bit--surely enough it did. No biggie--it was wildly busy. Utensils were very limited and some definitely needed additional attention. The portions of the food was fairly small--maybe since we waited for awhile for our food and we were getting pretty hungry. We crushed the food--chicken was moist and sauces were flavorful. We also had peri fries--crunchy and had a hint of lemon taste it seems. I had the extra spicy quarter dark chicken and it definitely had some heat to it--but I have a high tolerance so it was all good. We also had corn on the cob which was nothing special. Overall, the food wasn't bad and I would probably visit another time when the craziness settles and the staff gets up to speed. I think the service can improve in terms of speediness, cleanliness of the tables, and utensils. I rated this Yelp review as a 4 star but really leaning more towards a three and a half. We turned into the plaza for Dunkin but saw this new place opened up so we walked in. The menu was limited and we almost walked out but glad that we stayed. We not had had dinner but we liked it so much that we took an extra order for home! Probably the best chicken i ever had! Thats a bold statement but chicken breasts are tricky, either they are undercooked or overcooked and dry. I don't know how but their chicken breast was moist and juicy. We also tried their wings and leg quarters as well. Everything was cooked to perfection. No matter how good your sauce and your preparation technique is, if meat is not high quality, results will be subpar. The meat was not typical giant size, hormone infused. You could tell this was young organic meat of very high quality. I would recommend medium or mild sauce. Hot was too not too hot but I definitely had a sweat on my forehead. I ordered 1/4 chicken which was 8.49 just for small piece... came in nice wooden plate , looked small in size, but chicken was nice, moist and good quality meat. The skin with sauce would be better crispier. I ordered side corn dish with a sauce . Corn itself was bland and Needed more butter or seasoning flavor. Cheese yogurt type sauce was excessive, might be better on side to mix in as desired. I ordered medium sauce heat and did have a kick to it. I thought chicken was decent, but 4 qtrs. Chickens @ 9.49 would be 38 bucks for whole chicken, vs. my $ 4.99 whole large rotisserie chicken at Costco then coat in peri peri spice sauce would be better option as the rotisserie chicken juices actually had more flavor than the peri peri chicken meat. Today was my first visit to Tribos and I really enjoyed everything I had! The chicken wings were great!! I loved the garlic lemon sauce and the mild sauce. Both were very flavorful! I also tried the paneer, Tribos rice, corn, falafel, and the fried yuca.....All of these were delicious and I enjoyed them all. I thought the rice was relatively pricey for the price of a large they could definitely give you a bigger serving. I had never had paneer before and I liked it!! On their special corn I think they should put more of their special sauce on it and layer the sauce to give everyone that has it the same tasty experience! I strongly recommend the Yuca fries! I ordered the combo with rice and my friend ordered the fallafal wrap. She LOVED the wrap. I u dornately was underwhelmed with the chicken. It didn't look like it was fully cooked but i took a bite out of one of the wings ..the skin is what bothered me. It was...jelly like...definitely not crisp as if it were grilled. It was hard for me to even enjoy the flavor because if the unappealing texture. Unfortunately, when i peeled away the gelatinous skin, the chicken under rath had zero flavor. The rice was super hard and overly spicy. Maybe i caught them on a bad night bit i was so looking forward to it and was disappointed. Most of the chicken is in my refrigerator. Comments regarding my visit for others, based on a number of visits: General issue, this is single-owner operation, Yassir, so things will go accordingly to that understanding: 1) If you order online, they will shortchange your chicken portion to make up for the fees even though it appears to the purchaser that you are ordering directly from their site. I appreciate it's annoying to give 20% to Door Dash; however, I didn't even realize I was doing that so I did not appreciate having my chicken order reduced by 50% to account for it. 2) If you order a non-whole chicken - both half and quarter - the menu will imply a certain number of pieces, i.e., more than one based on descriptions such as "thigh + wing". In reality, you will receive one piece and comments about the underlying size of the whole bird. 3) If you realize your meal is incorrect and just would prefer a refund, be prepared for the ultimate stall game where you play some phone tag and leave your phone number behind so the owner "can make it right". I can't emphasize this enough: always pay with a credit card here so you can get a chargeback rather than relying on the restaurant to process a simple refund. read more
