This place feels and tastes like home. This might be the best barbecue I have had since going to Eley's Barbecue in Petersburg, Virginia with my daddy when I was about 14-16 years old. We came here two years ago and had the smoked dry rubbed wings. We remembered how good they were and returned for more. I tried the Tex-Mex barbecue bowl. Ever since I had the Midwood BBQ in Charlotte, I've been tempted to make the 2 hour drive, just to get more of that brisket. Luckily, there is a Midwood BBQ location in Raleigh, which is only 30 minutes from me. My wife went straight for the brisket. Mrs S is in the zone, she loves the beans and told me the brisket was very moist. My burnt ends, heaven! Fatty little pieces of BBQ goodness topped on top of grits. It's like a hug in my belly. No dessert, it's time to get back on the road.
