Veronica, our server, was impeccable. The food was perfect. The Sangria, second best in the city. Can't say the first here. Just know it's really good here. I wish they did pitchers. My friend had the smoked old fashioned mezcal and loved it. We had the mussels to start. They were good. But I think I'd try something different next time. The beef carpaccio or goat cheese and garlic crostinis look delish too. We had prime rib and a ribeye. Both were done perfectly. We tried the truffle mash (DEFINITELY get these & Hope they don't remove them) and the cauliflower rice. We don't love the cauliflower option here as much as we could. Maybe the way it's spiced. Not sure why this location has low ratings on Yelp, but I can share that our experience that night was good, not the best, and not the worst - so I'd rate it 4 stars. We decided to have a small after-work dinner, just the three of us. I made a reservation online and requested a quieter spot, which they actually provided. That was great! Thank you, although the table was a bit small. Upon entering the restaurant, it had a modern and clean ambiance, which we enjoyed. The only one thing is the waitress, she is nice, but she is also fake unfortunately. When she talks, she smiles, okay very understandable you might tired, but please just don't turn down your face that quick especially you haven't walked away yet haha, not that big of the deal, but you know. The steak was amazing, better than The Keg in my opinion. I opted for the chop salad with steak, and it was perfect. My cousin she had the 11oz New York Steak cooked medium-well, and it was surprisingly very juicy! Drinks are obviously expensive, so plan your budget accordingly, especially if you plan on having drinks. The bill for three people came to $300 after tax and tips. read more

I came back to Chop to enjoy the amazing Smoked Old-Fashioned and yes, it was still just as good but.... I wish there wasn't a but. This time I was sitting in the lounge. And, from the minute they tried to seat us at the a table where one of the seats was BEYOND ripped to when they seated us in a booth where I almost ripped my hose trying to slide into the booth I was unimpressed with the atmosphere of the place. The drink was great and so were the appies... The service was fantastic - everything came out in time, the waitress was fantastic about checking in but (and there's that but again) I won't go the lounge again unless they do a serious upgrade. This is supposed to be a 'nice' place - they sure charge 'nice' place prices but sit in the restaurant and get that 'nice' place feel. read more

I have contacted this location twice this month (May 2025) with questions. The first time through their email address, the second time through their web portal. To date, May 11, I have not received a response. Not by email, nor phone. I have to wonder if the management is too busy dealing with internal problems, or if they don't really care. Either way, it does not bode well for my Wife and I booking this business to celebrate our 25th. Since this post, I have now received responses from management by email, answering the questions I posed. The responses indicated that they have an internal email problem that directed my email to the wrong location. We have not yet made up our mind which business will host our special day, but if it is this one, I will update further with experience details. We ate at chop last night. I ordered medium rare prime rib .... it came well done with a bunch of au juice all over it (which i didn't ask for) The meat was about 1/2 inch deep and dry. My husband ordered the Miso Salmon .. and it was fairly dry too I had a "loaded" baked potato that was over cooked and had barely a scoop of sour cream, a few flakes of bacon crumbles & green onions. No butter on it .... it was dry too. Overall, it's a great atmosphere, staff was very friendly but the food wasn't worth it. Dennys is next door ... think I'll try them instead! read more

Decided to check out the smoked old fashioned at Chop on National Cocktail Day and was unpleasantly surprised by the results. I have always considered Chop as being a more upscale establishment and, perusing the menu, they certainly price their goods at an upscale price point. Personally I feel to justify a reputation of being a choice establishment, a place has to hit all the highs- food, service and setting. For me, Chop missed big on one of theses categories. Before we get to that let me recount what I liked about the experience - I thoroughly enjoyed the smoked old fashioned. A well balanced drink that was truly set off by the smoke finish. I would definitely have this again, even at its premium price. Additionally, the 2 appetizers me and my guest had, the steak bites and the goat cheese and mushroom dip, were also very good. I especially enjoyed the garlic horseradish aioli that accompanied the steak bites. The service was good with a very attentive staff that got us our orders promptly. What disappointed me was the general state of the lounge where we had our drinks. In a word, it was shabby. It was one of those places that looked good at a distance but the closer you got to things, the more you noticed their general rundown state. For example, we were initially to be seated at a high table but as we got closer we noticed the table was being levelled out by multiple drink coasters under its legs, that one of the chairs was broken and the other chairs looked worn out with flattened cushions and seats that were askew. We asked to be moved and we're taken to a booth. Sadly the booth was also in a sorry state with no bounce left in the padding of the seating and the seating sporting multiple rips on its fabric. Even looking around the bar I noticed that one of the TV's was not working. While this may be a minor quibble, when I am in a restaurant that could easily set me back a couple of hundred dollars for a nice dinner for 2 with all the trimmings, I have some expectations. Overall, while the food and service were great, the slightly rundown aesthetic of the restaurant's lounge made me question the premium price tag of this little after work drink. read more

My wife and I went here for my birthday and were impressed. The food was excellent (adequate portions) and came out in a very timely manner (all 3 courses). The ambiance of the place was very nice, the music although not to our tastes was at the correct level to be heard as a background whilst not interfering with conversation and the lighting isn't so dark. The restaurant itself was clean and well staffed and the service they provided was excellent, there is adequate seating for a large number of tables/groups and we didn't have long to wait for our server to see to our wants/needs.
