The lettuce is always nice and crunchy. I really like how they take a chopping tool and chop all the lettuce up it makes it easy to eat. I also like how they measure your salads lettuce weight in front of you to ensure your salad is the perfect size every time. It was under $10 and had everything I liked. I didn't add any meat to mine, I don't like meat in salad except occasionally bacon. My friend got the cobb chop which he has had before and really liked. First impressions were really good! I was searching for a healthy meal option around Polaris and found this place. They had some predetermined salad or rice bowl options, or tons of toppings to chose from to make your own. I ordered the Cobb salad, no croutons, and dressed. There isn't really anything too special about a Cobb salad but it tasted as expected, seemed to be good quality ingredients. The blue cheese dressing was tasty. I like that it's all chopped up and blended together for you (if that's what you would like). The place had several COVID-19 precautions so I felt safe eating in. The only issue I had was it is a tight squeeze how they have it set up by the register if you want to walk by to go to the restroom. The staff walked us through it, patiently but quickly. You can modify their picks if you want, and they ask at each step if things are okay for you. They also had a few soups, on the specials board. The bowl was brown rice, rotisserie chicken, edamame, snow peas, etc. A large portion, and it all went together well. They chop things up small enough to make for good forkfuls (I wondered, at first, since it's pretty big chunks when they build it.) The flavor was excellent, everthing was fresh, and I chowed down. We ordered the Steakhouse Chopped Salad and (I had the) Mexican Bowl. It had a good traffic flow in there, telling me that this place is pretty popular. Each item has their own recipe, so if you're not sure how to dress it, they've got you taken are of. My only changes were smaller portions of avocado, jalapeno peppers and Cholula hot sauce. Everyone in the 'assembly line' greeted me with a pleasant smile and made me feel more than welcome. For some reason, I was innocently delighted, watching them scoop the avocado and sqeeze the lime onto my order. Everything was delicous, fresh and filling with a great arrangement. I'm a big eater and was truly satisfied. Between that and the organic lemonade, I was slow to get up and leave. I have to give extreme praise to the Team Leader (I believe she rang up my purchase) and/or the Unit Manager. The menu has a lot of different options for you on premade ingredients but they make everything right in front of you. They take a lettuce and combine everything I measure it out for you so everything is exactly the same every time you go. Next they take they're cutting tool and chop it up into little teeny bite-size pieces. They offer to toss the salad dressing for you. I strongly recommend this because they make every piece have a nice thin layer of salad dressing on them. This salad made for a good meal or lunch brunch or even an early dinner or late dinner. You start with your base (but mix them if you want, also a great option!) and them add toppings (these are limited to a fixed number, don't go crazy) and protein (almost all of them are extra charges). Pick carefully, not every toppings goes together! Finish with a yummy dressing (mix these up as well... I did citrus and added a bit of heat from a spicy dressing). As I like my salad greens small and manageable in one bite, Chop5 is exactly what I want from a green serving place. They might not be THAT healthy if you load up on dressing and some toppings (looking at you, bacon) but you can pick the level of health you want and it's much better than a certain pizza place that does similar things! I will typically stop in for lunch time as it is closer to my office. Chop5 is located in a small shopping strip where parking can be tight and traffic heavy during the lunch hour. So, I have had to park around back and dodge some traffic to just get in the door, but it has been worth it for me. This is one of those cafeteria style business models where you choose your base, add your ingredients and then, in this case, your dressing. They do have a number of different options listed on their menu, but I prefer creating my own. They have several types of greens and salad toppings. I usually get their Chop5 blend for my base. Adding protein, such as chicken, as extra. Competitively priced with other salad restaurants. They also offer a cookie or the Kind bars if you need to satisfy that sweet tooth, too. Seating can also be a challenge through the lunch hour. They only have about 12 -15 tables that seat a couple folks. The tables are usually full with dine in patrons. I will normally get my order to go. Staff have been friendly and interactive, not just some order takers. Definitely will be back to Chop5 again! read more

I have loved this place but tonite changed my opinion. I got there for a to-go order at 7:40. I order a standard salad, I've gotten it the last several times and this time I have no clue what I'm eating. I also ordered soup to which they said "we like to put those away early because they go in an ice bath before they go in the fridge" . Pet peeve... restaurants that say they are open until a certain time but want to get out so fast so they clean up things which means you can't order. This is a soup and salad place, and the last 30 or so mins they are open you cannot get ANY soup because they want to get their night wrapped up??
