Definitely a different diner. Very clean establishment that plays only hard-core country and western music. Luckily I have that switch in my brain where I can block out music that does nothing for me. Don't be in a hurry if you want to stop here and eat. There will be a wait for a table. Whoa! Definitely a diamond in the rough. Excellent service and hospitality. Let's start with efficiency of the hostesses during peak hours. They got us seated on a reasonable time, but we understood Sunday's are busy and we were prepared to wait. The menu presented many options, and I settled on the pork chop breakfast. I'm not a huge fan of pork chops but wanted step outside of my comfort zone. It was absolutely amazing. Great flavors from the grill, tender, and moist. Great place in Corpus for breakfast. Our waitress today was amazing. My daughter was set to have chemo in an hour and we forgot the numbing cream for her port. So we had to hurry and ask for our food to go. She was so good...she was already bringing our plates out when we realized it and she hurried and got us the to go boxes and our check. We made it back to her apartment put cream on and ate at her apartment. Phew!!!!. The food was delicious. And made it in time for her appointment. Food was good. Husband ordered a breakfast and requested NO butter on the toast. His food comes and the bread IS buttered. So two slices of toast come with his meal. So he asked again for toast with out butter. The server returns with ONE dry toast. My husband asked for another one to finish his meal with. The server, Bianca, said that would be an up charge. I questioned her about it and she said if it would be okay to charge us for a side order!!! I was like, NO! So she reluctantly went to get the other piece of toast which took 10 minutes and I wasn't even toasted. Dang it is just a piece of bread to make the order complete. Stopped by to try when my family was visiting Corpus. The waiting process is bummer but that's just due to Covid. The food was worth the wait. The pumpkin pancakes are to die for! So disappointed in the management and the missed opportunity they had too be great. I've heard a few rumors it went downhill but I didn't want to believe it. Tonight we went with my son and 9 month pregnant daughter in law and waited an hour for nothing. We kept being offered water and sprite but no food. Good thing we are appetizers because after an hour we decided to leave. The owner even asked if everything was good even though we still didn't have food. Bottom line was I paid for 2 appetizers and a coke for $21. Didn't get any help from the owner at all. Last time we go and that is sad.
