Fantastic! Great steak. Great chocolate cake for desert. In the heart of Kingston it was a fabulous experience for road weary travellers. We needed a simple good meal. Such a lovely, kind hostess, waiters, and owner. Highly recommended.

Chops does excellently on the gluten free front: they understand the issue and are sincere with people who ask questions. On top of that the food is impeccable, their service and presentation are old school, and they honor the privacy of their customers. Also: there is an elevator and wheelchair access for those who cannot make the climb up six steps of the front entrance. So if you're worried about access, worry no more -- there's easy access and lots of space.

The butter garlic flank steak flavor was to die for, loved that it was tender, but I didn't like that it was very fatty. They were very accommodating. Mandi was our amazing waitress. My friends enjoyed the ribs wings that they had on the appetizer menu, it satisfied their desire for barbecue ribs. I usually don't like salmon when I eat out, but theirs was not dry nor was it flavorless. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Came here for my wife's birthday heard about it through Yelp saw they had great reviews on Yelp and Google, very nice old building. Our waitress Yvonne was very friendly and knowledgeable the owner was very friendly. The atmosphere was quiet on a Monday the bar is really nice we ordered bang bang shrimp which was delicious I ordered the 20 oz Ny strip which was delicious my wife had the grilled salmon she loved it. We met a lovely couple who we shared a good conversation and a lot of laughs with that it was just a perfect night from beginning to end finished off with the delicious chocolate cake and coffee and Baileys. I would highly recommend Chops for a quiet dinner or a group, we plan on going back. Thank you

The atmosphere was calm, breezy, and had that laid-back summer night feel that makes you want to linger just a little longer. Food: 4.5/5 We kicked off with a couple of appetizers, and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. The pigs in a blanket were way more elevated than your average bar snack--wrapped well, seasoned with everything bagel spice, and super flavorful. A fun and unexpected highlight. The real star of the apps though? The watermelon and burrata salad. Juicy, fresh, light--it was the exact kind of dish you want on a summer night. Refreshing and satisfying all at once. For my entrée, I ordered the shrimp scampi but asked to add salmon for an extra protein boost (which they happily did). My husband got the seared tuna, and I'll admit--major food envy. His plate looked stunning and well-balanced, and he was thoroughly impressed. Service: 5/5 Everyone was so kind here. The staff checked in regularly, didn't rush us, and made sure we had what we needed without being overbearing. They also didn't blink when I asked to customize my entrée a bit, which I really appreciated. It made the whole meal feel even more relaxed and accommodating. Overall: A lovely spot to close out our trip. The food had thoughtful touches, the river view was peaceful, and the service was excellent. I'd definitely return--especially on a warm evening when you're craving something light, fresh, and a little special.

Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for an unforgettable French dining experience, Le Canard Enchaîné never disappoints. We always leave looking forward to our next visit. Our trusty Yelp app led us to this historic building and restaurant. I'm really glad we came to see some truly great architecture and learn some cool history of life before these United States. Even though the British tried to burn it down during the Revolutionary War, the family restored it to previous glory and it remained in their possession for over 200 more years! Now let's talk about the restaurant experience.... We were seated immediately and given a choice of indoor or covered outdoor seating. Laura came to get a drink order and offered some kids specials. She also put in our daughter's order right away so that she would be occupied and well fed. A chicken quesadilla with fries won her over and filled her up nicely. A bowl of New England clam chowder to start for me followed by a delicious Mushroom Omelette special. So fresh and tasty. The Mad Ukrainian ( formally MR or Mad Russian until the war broke out) had a delicious Reuben Sandwich with fries and a Garden Salad. After the salad and a half sandwich, she decided to save some room for dessert at another place nearby. Pair that up with a couple of local Beers and some soft drinks and coffee and we had an enjoyable lunch. Pricing is excellent compared to home prices and we ate with leftovers, drank, and got a historical glimpse back in time for less than $70. Home run in my book!

This whole time, I really thought this place was inside a cozy hotel about 2 blocks over. Guess you learn something new every day. We pulled up on a Thurs. around 4 with no res. and got seated real quick. Restaurant K. is airy, chic and gives a relaxed vibe. The menu is on the smaller side, but honestly, there's something for every eating style. We kept things light instead of diving into something heavy. Our spring greens salad was really good: hefty mound of mixed greens, lima beans, string beans and a hint of dill to make everything pop. Hubs had the double-stacked burger with white cheddar on a potato bun and loved it. I had high hopes for the hush puppies because they sounded amazing on paper- but they were doughy than corny and threw me off. Then came dessert. Again- sounded great on paper. It kinda feels like desserts get a "reinvented" treatment here(?). For instance, the strawberry shortcake was deconstructed: a few chunks of white cake, some diced strawberries and whipped cream. Totally unexpected. I ordered the 'Fun-Fetti Dunkaroos' with madeleines because they caught my eye, but they're smaller than standard. The food isn't bad at all. We were just caught off guard by how some of our selections were prepped. What really saved the evening were the cocktails. They were beautifully made and had a lot of strength. No watered-down nonsense here! Plus, our server Karina(?) was super sweet. I asked if I could try the passion fruit purée to see if it was the real deal for one of the cocktails I ordered and she brought me a little sample. Passed the test!

This made me a little dubious at first but I went in with an open mind just to give it a chance. Walking in I had no idea what the layout would be like or even the vibe I just knew the menu is random. From the outside it looks like you're walking into someone's house and that's just what it is. Someone's house. It does not feel like your traditional restaurant at all. It has a staff of three including the chef and seating is a little limited. The ironic part is even though the space is on the small side you don't feel cramped at all. The staff is beyond friendly and truly makes you feel at home. Now in regard to the food the plates were picked clean. I started off with the bread and butter and it came out warm and soft. It tasted like a sour dough but I'm not sure there were two types both delicious. Their homemade butter was out of this world especially since I love garlic and it had a roasted garlic flavor to it. I ordered the sirloin Moroccan kebab with koos koos and was it outstanding. It wasn't a complex plate at all. Grilled onions peppers with seasoned steak and koos koos with zucchini. The real charm is how they blended so well together and how fresh everything tasted. It felt like it was from a farm. I'm not a culinary expert but every bite just made you want another one. I'll be honest at first I didn't see how it would work but once I tried it was like DUH! I truly cleaned the plate for a second time. Then came desert which was a Choclate mocha cake with a raspberry sauce. Once again I wasn't sure if I'd like it because I'm not one for Choclate or raspberry but it was delicious. The cake was moist and light and the raspberry was slightly tart but just sweet enough to make dipping the cake in the sauce to be a luscious treat. I definitely plan going back regardless of the menu because not knowing actually makes it the fun part of the experience. I can't say enough about my time there I highly recommend anyone who has read this far and is an enjoyer of culinary arts to try this place.
