    Half of my onion soup...sorry
    Mary T.

I came here for the first time and will probably be my last. Our merry little group mostly ordered the crab cake sandwich. It was impressive when it arrived but the crab cake was mostly bread. Since this is a seafood restaurant, I expected better. One member of the group ordered the seafood fried platter...it looked typical. The menu was mostly fried foods. The best part was the onion soup. It was flavorful and delicious. I know my phone is supposed to eat first but I dug in before realizing I hadn't taken a shot. Sorry folks but it looked like what all French onion soups look like. They only had one waitress who had to take care of everybody and I wonder if maybe that was why the bar was closed which was also disappointing. The restaurant is small and looked dated. The waitress was very nice.

This is where we go for fresh whole lobsters as a family in Kington! Call ahead to ask when the fresh lobsters will be in, and make reservations! It's not a fancy place, and they used to have outdoor seating during COVID. The parking lot is massive, so no issues there, find yourself upstairs to the dining area. You'll hit the bar first with the game playing, and grab a table to sit amongst locals (much older crowd) having an early dinner with their friends, some on dates, etc. the key here is to order the fish special ($35-40) or the whole lobster (approx $70), and a lot of wine. It's just a nice quaint place, no frills, good service, and massively poured wine. To all- This is not fine dining so do not expect fine dining. This will not be the best seafood you ever had (esp if you're coming from NYC or Boston). this is Kingston New York- a local place with friendly folks.

My friend went to this diner for Father's Day today and they found out this place is cockroaches everywhere. They are not coming back.

Nasty place ever eating at my friends trying to celebrate Father's Day this came into their soup. I'll send in restaurant impossible in. And health inspectors

Food is meh. Priced like fine dining but it's really not. Much of the menu tastes premade/boxed. Would not recommend

Our trusty Yelp app led us to this historic building and restaurant. I'm really glad we came to see some truly great architecture and learn some cool history of life before these United States. Even though the British tried to burn it down during the Revolutionary War, the family restored it to previous glory and it remained in their possession for over 200 more years! Now let's talk about the restaurant experience.... We were seated immediately and given a choice of indoor or covered outdoor seating. Laura came to get a drink order and offered some kids specials. She also put in our daughter's order right away so that she would be occupied and well fed. A chicken quesadilla with fries won her over and filled her up nicely. A bowl of New England clam chowder to start for me followed by a delicious Mushroom Omelette special. So fresh and tasty. The Mad Ukrainian ( formally MR or Mad Russian until the war broke out) had a delicious Reuben Sandwich with fries and a Garden Salad. After the salad and a half sandwich, she decided to save some room for dessert at another place nearby. Pair that up with a couple of local Beers and some soft drinks and coffee and we had an enjoyable lunch. Pricing is excellent compared to home prices and we ate with leftovers, drank, and got a historical glimpse back in time for less than $70. Home run in my book!

Every visit has been consistently outstanding. The food is simply exceptional. We've tried many dishes over the years, and honestly, everything on the menu has been delicious. The service is equally impressive--friendly, professional, and always attentive, making every meal feel special. They don't offer a kids' menu, but that has never been an issue for us because our daughter has a very French palate and happily enjoys the regular menu. If you're planning to visit, I highly recommend making a reservation for the weekend, as it tends to fill up quickly. Also, keep in mind that they're closed on **Wednesdays and Sundays**. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for an unforgettable French dining experience, Le Canard Enchaîné never disappoints. We always leave looking forward to our next visit. The restaurant layout is a little eccentric, but cute in a erratic way. There was the restaurant, an alcove, and a back patio. We sat in the alcove. We ordered the fresh made pasta with tomato and basil. That was very soft and the five year old ate up the half portion. (By the way they do have half portions.) We ordered the lamb ragu, which was very hearty and filling. I also ordered the pasta with seafood, which had heaping amounts of seafood. I think all were pretty fairly priced, considering the quality. The waitress we had was amazing. She helped us get our kid settled and knew exactly what she needed. She made some great suggestions and was overall the best. Great place!

Amazing atmosphere, super welcoming, and the kind of place that instantly feels like a "why haven't I been here before?" spot. The service? 10/10. Everyone--from the owner/the sushi chef--was genuinely personable, attentive, and made us feel taken care of the entire night. The waiter Salmon, was amazing 10/10. Not trying to be funny not sure if he spells it that way but he was amazing!! And the food... WOW. The Toro? Unreal. Melt-in-your-mouth, life-questioning levels of good. Every single dish we ordered was a 10/10, but the Toro especially stood out--fresh, flavorful, and done perfectly.
