Came for dinner during restaurant week. We had a reservation, so we were seated quickly. We were seated not too far from the bar area but it was still a nice and romantic ambiance. My husband I ordered t a glass of wine while we looked over the menu. I got the caesar salad, the surf and turf with cheesecake for desert. My husband got the fried shrimp, lamb chops and cheese cake. The fried shrimp appetizer and the shrimp scampi on the surf and turf was soo good!! They were cooked and seasoned perfectly!! The steak was cooked well. My husband enjoyed his lamb chops. The cheesecake was really good too! Definitely a great spot to check out for a nice date night.

We decided to finally come here as it's been a local spot to try for a while. We made a reservation, but upon entry, we were shocked to see the restaurant practically empty on a Saturday evening. We were seated in a booth in the bar area. Service was prompt. The food was ok and the portions were a little small for the price point. There is no pizazz what so ever. The best thing was the steak because the sides were plain and limited. Doubt we will come back. We have had much better experiences and food for less in the area. A little disappointing and left much to desire.

So it was my last night in HR and I wanted an amazing meal. I searched and decided on this spot for the rack of lamb. I got there and sat at the bar. The restaurant was empty and that threw me off a little. I ordered some drinks and the scallops as an appetizer. That was an amazing 1st course that opened my appetite up for what came next. The lamb chops were amazing. I would have ordered more but I had my fill. They were tender and flavorful. The potato was a nice pairing with it as well. I highly recommend this dish to anyone that dines here. Hopefully the restaurant is a bit more lively though.

I've wanted to try Chops for a while now, I finally tried it. It wasn't worth the wait, I should have kept waiting. We tried this place out for Mother's Day and the service was okay. We ordered Calamari and it was very salty, I had to send it back. When the food came out, it wasn't even hot. The food was room temperature and my flounder was overcooked. The lobster bisque I ordered did not have chunks of lobster in it. It was basically a tomato soup with blended up lobster. Our entrées were pretty much bland, the fish could've used a little bit of garlic, maybe some lemon and a dash of salt. We ordered a New York cheesecake and a crème brûlée for dessert and it took a long time for them to bring out the dessert. I honestly think they went to New York and came back with it lol jk but it did take a long time. My sons chicken tenders and fries were the best thing we ordered. My reservation was at 5:30 and everything took a long time because the kitchen was backed up, but I honestly don't know why because the restaurant was pretty much empty for it to be a Mother's Day Sunday. We didn't finish dinner until after 7:30 PM because it took a while for the food to get there and the food get corrected because we didn't receive what we ordered at first, the checks to come and the checks to be corrected. Here's the part I did not like I did not see any signs about automatic gratuity being included, but my bill went from $191 subtotal before taxes to being $270. I added a copy of the receipt so you guys can view the charges with me. Would I try this place again? Probably not... I think Texas roadhouse has better food at this point & it's very overpriced. Sorrellas next door is way better I'm upset I spent so much on food that wasn't great but I didn't want to keep sending food back. As for me, this is a first and last.

Visited the area and had Chops book marked! Went with family. Seated promptly for our reservation. We had the Korean tuna and the fried shrimps! Fried shrimp were big and juicy. Not a heavy fry on them. Very good. The Korean tuna was very tender, and full of flavor. We ordered steaks and lobster. I had the twin lobster tails with broccoli and mashed potatoes. It was excellent. Then the others had the 6oz filet mignon. And a rib eye. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Service was excellent!!

This place was a very average steakhouse, if even that. The restaurant is big, dimly lit, and has a big bar. The inside looks clean but the service was okay. They had a promising menu and the food and presentation looked amazing, but the quality was just not there. Especially for the price of everything at the end. We got the korean spiced tuna, cocktail shrimp, and corn and chicken soup. The only thing good was the soup which was hot and delicious. But the soup being the best thing was very telling. Next, we got the rack of lamb, penne alla vodka, chicken alfredo, and cajun jambalaya pasta. Every single pasta except the cajun was just not flavorful or made with any quality. The cajun jambalaya was okay and had the most flavorful but I wouldn't recommend the pasta here. The rack of lamb with mashed potatoes was also just average and the mashed potatoes tasted like it came from the box. The cocktails were the best thing about this place. They were well made and delicious.

Super impressed with Chops! It's been on the list for quite some time but had fallen off the radar lately. Restaurant Week is always a great time to get out and sample some of our wonderful culinary scene soooo, no time like the present! We stopped in last night for a "date night" and were easily and quickly seated at a quiet plush tufted leather booth in the back. They have a large and nice bar area with tons of bar seating along a very lengthy stone/granite bar with a few high-tops. They also have a lot of outdoor patio seating you can use in the summer months when it's warmer. In the back there are large leather booths along the walls and windows with standard table seating in the center which is much quieter away from the bar. Our waitress, Abigail, was wonderful. Exceedingly professional and polite, very attentive, knowledgable about the menu, and friendly as could be. I chose the 3-Course Tasting Menu for Restaurant week and went with a seasonal salad of feta, tomato, cucumber, greens and lemon vinaigrette (no olives for me), Short Ribs with Mashed Potatoes and Chocolate Mousse. Hubs went for just a standard wedge salad and shrimp cocktail from the main menu. He didn't want all the carbs. I had asked beforehand about the fat on the meat bc I was thinking of the Pork Chop and it was bone-in so I knew it would be fatty. I went for the short ribs thinking they would not be as fatty but, unfortunately when they arrived it had two large bones and tons and tons of fat in the meat so I only ended up eating a super small strip of clean meat and some potatoes. I was not happy bc I felt like I hardly had any protein. My husband mentioned to the waitress and she easily spoke to management who offered to take it off or make me anything else on the menu I'd like to go. I went with the Flounder which was fish of the day with asparagus and mashed potatoes and we tried it when we got home - SO delicious. They prepared it quickly and nicely packaged it to go while we enjoyed the chocolate mousse and french press coffee. It was amazing and a great portion size. I'd order it every time if it was always on the menu. Our waitress was gracious the entire time, easily answered all questions, and happy to accommodate and make it right when I didn't like the meat. When the bill came - they had taken off the $45 tasting menu and had charged the lesser price of the $36 for the flounder. Basically giving me the salad and mousse free of charge for the issue. A classy move and well-handled. We will be back 1000%. It's beautifully decorated inside - think Ruth's Chris with wood and leather and gorgeous lighting fixtures. It's clean, with an open-kitchen and large bar. Staff were all neat and tidy and exceedingly polite and friendly. A gem!

We wanted to go somewhere special for our Wedding Anniversary and this place looked fancy. They weren't that many people dining inside so when we came in the Hostess asked did we have a reservation, we did not. But we got seated immediately. The dining room was cozy with a dimly lit light on each table and they have a Bar also. Our Server Azalia greeted us and explained the Specials. We placed our drink orders, my hubby got a Lemon Drop Martini which was really good. Warm Bread was brought to the table. We ordered the Korean Spicy Tuna and Wedge Salad. The Korean Spicy Tuna was good but the portions were small for the price. I ordered the Filet Mignon with Lobster Tail with Mash Potatoes and Asparagus. My Husband ordered the Cowboy Ribeye that came with Broccoli. The Steaks were good and cooked right. The Ribeye was on the small side for $70 and it only came with one side. My Lobster Tail was chewy and had a funny taste to it. Our Server bought us ice cream for a free Anniversary Dessert. Our Server Azalia was friendly and checked on us often. They charge you $7.14 for a Credit Card Fee which was disappointing. The food was pricey for the quality. Bottom line we won't be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

Visited Chops last night for the first time for a weekday date night on Virginia Beach Restaurant Week. Upon walking into the establishment, we were really impressed with the layout and atmosphere of the restaurant. We both chose the restaurant week menu. I ordered the 3-course meal of winter green salad, surf & turf (8oz sirloin, shrimp scampi, mashed potatoes & broccoli) and seasonal cheesecake. The salad was a basic salad. The sirloin was ordered medium and came out 10% medium and 90% well done. The shrimp scampi didn't have much flavor and was more the size of salad shrimp. The mashed potatoes were basic and the broccoli was cooked very well. The seasonal cheesecake was ok, it had a topping that tasted like toasted oatmeal. My husband order the 3-course meal of fried shrimp with Cajun sauce, half rack of lamb with mashed potatoes and broccoli and chocolate mousse. The fried shrimp was a very good size and tasty but only 2 shrimp. The half rack of lamb was 4 separated small lamb chops. It was ordered medium and came out perfect, they just didn't have a lot of meat on them. The chocolate mousse wasn't that appealing. After receiving our food the waitress came to check on us and I showed her that my steak was well done and not medium. She apologized and said she would talk to the chef. When she returned she said the chef requested the remaining steak and would make another. After waiting for a new steak the waitress came out with a new steak and sides. This time the steak was medium rare. At this point we just boxed the food up and paid the bill. Overall the restaurant did not met our expectations. For the price point of our bill I would not return. There are a ton of places that we love that we can order a perfectly cooked steak.

This was my second time dining here... still a five star experience! I first dined during the plandemic in July 2020 in celebration of my mom's bday - or was it 2021... not quite sure of the year since the years have been running together. Nevertheless, during this time, the bar was closed and happy hour was not an option. But this was cool because my mom wanted table seating... I cannot recall what everyone had for dinner, but I do recall this being an enjoyable experience by my party. Fast forward to a week ago... my husbae and I dined here on May 11th and decided to dine at the bar after having a few drinks... the experience here was stellar! Luke - the bartender was fabulous! Great convo... amazing cocktails!!! I had a few margaritas with my choice of tequila and each one was on point! If you love a fresh marg... this one is top five!! I can only vouch for Luke as the mixologist! For dinner - I opted for the special with flounder and stuffed crab... sensational!! Oh, we did start out with bread and butter... this was quite yummy too!!! My babe had the surf and turf... super delicious he commented! His steak was rare... cooked to his perfection! I was thoroughly impressed from start to finish. By the looks of things the restaurant wasn't too busy on this night, but it wasn't super empty either. Parking... we were able to find meter parking steps away from the restaurant, but garages are nearby. I do recommend you check out this place! Seems to be popular with the locals that live nearby. While we were there, I witnessed about 6 parties dining at the bar including us. In leu of happy hour, the restaurant now features a menu that seems to be comparable to happy hour... we will return to check that out! Ohhh.. I almost forgot... my app, the scallops with the spaghetti squash... very tasty!! Check them out if you care! Have fun and enjoy life :)

The restaurant is nice for a date night or family dinner. Street parking available. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I was able to specify how I wanted everything on my plate prepared and everything came out well. The food needed more seasoning for my tastebuds but overall a good food experience.

My most recent visit here was on January 23, 2026. I've seen this place several times as I have gone with my mom to Hobby Lobby. It caught my attention again to try this place when they were listed as a part of the 2026 Virginia Beach Restaurant Week. This is what ultimately got me to get in and try them out. The outside of the place is similar to other places next to the business, but they are very easy to spot. On each of my visits here, I didn't encounter any issues with parking and such, so there seems to be ample parking available. When my mom and I first came in, we were immediately greeted and were able to get a table immediately. I wasn't sure what it would be at first since I saw stuff about reservations. This first visit was on January 21, 2026. Once we were seated, our server came to the table to ask us what we wanted to drink. I did the water with lemon, and my mom went for a Coke, though the Coke never came to the table during this first visit. In the end, that was no big deal. Since we were here specifically for the restaurant week, we stuck to that menu that evening. For the appetizer, I went with the Picanha Empanadas. For the main entree, I went with the 8 oz Filet Mignon with Green Beans and Queso De Mano as my two sides. For the dessert, I sure did go for the Rum Crème Brulée. My mom ended up doing the same thing on this first visit. A few minutes after ordering, the Empanadas came to the table. This came with an olive mayo chimichurri for dipping. The empanadas and the chimichurri complemented each other very well. The taste was amazing too. A few minutes before the entrees would come out, our server came over and put some hot sauce and chimichurri sauce at the table to use. When the entrees came out, they looked really good, and they were hot, so it took a few moments to start. I started with the green beans, and they had such a great flavor to them. By the time I finished that, it was time to indulge in the Filet Mignon. I had ordered it on medium, and it was cooked perfectly. This is not something I have often, but this was awesome. The flavor paired with the chimichurri sauce made it an enjoyable entree. I finished off the main course with the Queso De Mano cheese. This was a very flavorful cheese. The last course was the Rum Crème Brulée. It was quite the surprise when the server came with a blowtorch to go over the top of the dessert. This dessert was the ultimate indulgence for me as I don't normally do these types of foods. The experience was so good that we decided to come back a few days later, on January 23, 2026. I would end up getting the same set of items since it was still restaurant week, but we also ordered the Guacamole appetizer since we were there during happy hour. The chips and guacamole were amazingly good. You can tell it was made fresh. My mom got the Picanha Burger this time. I can say she really liked the burger. Overall, these were two excellent experiences during the restaurant week. The food and service were great with no major issues. One thing I want to note is that they do charge a 3.5% fee if you use a card to pay instead of cash. If you're looking for a unique type of steakhouse, this place is absolutely worth checking out.

Both the host and our server were very friendly. The restaurant itself is nice - it has a dark, masculine decor vibe. While I loved the types of chairs they use, I will say their tables for two are very small. They had this little side table type of thing and that was where I had to put my purse and some of the extra dishes to have room. We had the Wyagu Ribeye and the Picahna steak. Both were very good and cooked to perfection. I had the risotto which I didn't feel was cooked right; it had a gummy texture. The Cesar salad was one of the best I've had. I am not sure if their dressing is house made but it was very good and the addition of prosciutto was a nice touch! I also had a Paloma that was very fresh! Now this is supposed to be a steak house and cantina. The decor did give traditional cantina vibes, but the menu did not offer many traditional cantina type foods. If you are looking for cantina style dishes, you may find yourself disappointed. We did do the guacamole though, and it was just OK I'd say. Would I come back? For the steak and salad yes. Otherwise it was a little underwhelming to the price!

There's also a stand that displays the Dining Area Dress Code, which is Business Casual Attire. Our server stopped by our table and was very pleasant. She was able to answer all of our questions and gave us some time to look over the menu. The complimentary Focaccia Bread with the fresh tomatoes were simple yet delicious. We had olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the table as well that could be used as a dipping oil for the bread. I decided on the Onion Soup to start, which was very savory and delicious. For my entree, I ordered the Wagyu Bolognese and my friend ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo. Unfortunately, the pasta in our dishes were a bit hard and chewy, it should've been cooked a tad bit longer. Also, my friend asked if the pasta was homemade and the server let us know that it wasn't...we could tell! You would think for an Italian restaurant like this, they would've had homemade pasta, it definitely would've helped the dish. The Bolognese was okay but lacked a lot of flavor. I barely ate it. The restaurant was beautiful and the service was great but I've had better pasta elsewhere. If I were to return, it would probably be for the soup and appetizers.

First, let me say the service was absolutely TOP TIER! The staff was attentive, friendly, and the overall atmosphere definitely gave that elevated dining experience. I don't mind paying for a fine dining experience as long as the food matches the experience. We started with the crab dip appetizer, and honestly it was solid. Definitely a good appetizer choice. For drinks, I kept it simple with a tequila sunset and substituted pineapple juice for orange juice a good drink! Now for the meals. I ordered the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and green beans. I hate to even say this because I had such high hopes, but the lamb chops lacked seasoning for me. I ordered them medium, but they were definitely more medium rare. I love a medium rare ribeye, but not so much with lamb chops. The mashed potatoes and green beans were decent, but overall needed a little more flavor. My husband had the Butcher's Burger with wedges. He said it was a solid burger, slightly overcooked, but still good overall. He did enjoy the different flavor the pork belly added. My daughter ordered the Pasta Pescatore and said it was good, but not necessarily an "oh my goodness, I have to come back for this" type of dish. Overall, because so many people told me I would LOVE The Butcher's Son, I think my expectations were extremely high. The experience and service were excellent, but the food itself didn't completely wow me. It was good, just probably not my first choice for a return visit.

The atmosphere is nice, the food is spectacular, service this time was just ok but not something that would ruin our night. Our waiter was very absent for the most part, it did take a while for us to get our drinks and order; not much check backs for refills and such but overall he was a good server. The food is always amazing, I've never had a negative experience for their food. And the location is nice. The establishment is clean, more on the higher end, we came in dressed to impress for our date but you had a mix of how people were dressed. Down to just your everyday wear. 10/10 recommend

All 3 of us chose sweet for our wine tasting. Our server was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable about the wine. You get to taste one wine on each category listed on your menu. The samples of each wine are a generous pour. Some Wineries I've visited, do not provide big enough samples to determine if you like them enough to buy a bottle or not. Sweet Red was my favorite. Sweet Red is currently known as Romance Red. It changes names Seasonally. Dinner was outstanding. I had Gnocchi with Roasted Butternut Squash, Wild mushrooms, Sweet onion cream, Spinach, Feta and Crispy onions. It was a very tasty meal. My Great Niece chose the Pork chop and said it was the best she had ever had. My Niece had a Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad which she said was delicious. I had a very enjoyable afternoon with my Nieces. We will definitely return to Cooper's Hawk soon.

Great for Wine, Not for Dinner (Unfortunately) I don't know…read morewhy my Bestie and I keep doing this to ourselves -- we love Cooper's Hawk for the wine tastings, but every time we try to give dinner another chance... it ends the same way. After our tasting, we decided to sit down and order one of our longtime favorites: the short rib with mashed potatoes and vegetables. We hadn't had it in a few months because the last time was an epic fail, but we figured we'd give it another shot. As always, the pretzel bread and butter were a highlight -- that part never misses. The entrée, however, was another disappointment. The vegetables were noticeably undercooked -- still hard and crunchy -- and the dish came out with barely any sauce, even though I specifically asked for extra. For a short rib dish, you expect that rich, flavorful gravy to tie everything together... and it just wasn't there. A manager did come over after I pointed it out, and she genuinely tried to make it right, which I appreciated. We were offered another meal to take home, but at that point we were honestly just over it. To end on a positive note, I tried the Banoffee Pie for the first time (recommended by the manager), and it was actually really good -- rich, sweet, and worth trying. I also ordered their chocolate cake to go (which I usually love), but when I got home, it wasn't in the bag. I had to call for a refund, which they did handle -- but it just added to the overall frustration. At this point, it's become a pattern. When I first started coming here over a year ago, everything was consistently great. Lately, though, the dinner experience has been more miss than hit. We'll absolutely continue coming back for the wine tastings -- those are still top-tier. But for dinner? We're done trying.

It's located in the basement of the historic Cavalier Hotel which is absolutely gorgeous. Valet parking and they charge you $7 and if you pay through the app, it's additional $1.25 service charge. Like they aren't charging you enough for the food, now you have to pay for parking too. Let's not forget the tip for the valet guy too (deserved). The atmosphere is like a man's cave. Dark and like the name, "hunt" decorated. When you enter there are overstuffed leather sofas in front of a fireplace. Tons of photos of animals as well as taxidermy animals. Everything relating to hunting. The place was rather loud with a few large parties. To the point that my guest and I couldn't even hear each other. Once they left, it was nice and quiet, unfortunately, we were about to leave as well. I was told it's best to make a reservation, so I did through open table but I don't think it was needed at the time of our off-peak visit (3.16.2026). Service was great. The waiter kept returning to see if we needed anything and how the food was. It was our first time trying the Oysters Rockefeller ($18 for 6) which is Half Shell Oysters stuffed with a creamy spinach and applewood smoked bacon which were good. At this time, I had nothing to compare them to, but 2 days later, I had them at The Atlantic on Pacific and those were SO MUCH BETTER! A lot cheaper too during happy hour. I had the Filet Mignon ($49) - Garlic and Herb whipped Potatoes, Roasted Broccolini, Tarnished Truth Steak Sauce and Sauteed Mushrooms (I'm allergic to Mushrooms so I had them on the side for my guest to enjoy them). Very good meal. The Tarnished Truth Steak Sauce is so yummy, I could drink it. Complimented the Filet Mignon and the potatoes so well. The broccolini was also delicious. For dessert I got the Smore's Brownie ($10). It was more like a chocolate cake with marshmallow, Caramel and Chocolate Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream. It was not worth the money or the calories. Pretty tasteless. You need walnuts in a Brownie or it's just chocolate cake. I had gotten a Reuben sandwich ($18) to go and it was very fatty like bacon. Unfortunately, it was a waste of money because more than half of it went in the garbage due to it being so fatty. I felt the place was rather pricey and if you are just dining there, I do feel the valet parking should be free or reimbursed by the restaurant (i.e. take the charge off the bill). I think you can find some more reasonable places and better food nearby.

The atmosphere was like a dark mix of your grandfathers and his hip grandsons hangout. If you aren't into hunting I suggest you don't dine here. There are animal taxidermy through out the dinning room and tavern. Overstuffed leather sofas around a huge wood burning fireplace. We are visiting the area and it peaked our interest. We did have reservations, although it wasn't busy enough that it was needed although it could be at times. There were a few larger parties and it was rather loud. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, (6 half shell/$18) baked with bacon and a creamy spinach filling with cheese sealing the deal. A bit on the overdone side with a very crunchy topping. Good flavor. I also tried the wedge with candied bacon and tomatoes and a delicious smoked blue cheese dressing. I chose the Braised Short Rib French Dip handheld with truffle fries and au jus for dipping. Although great tasting, I felt it was a bit on the skimpy side portion wise for the price ($25). My dining companion opted for the Filet and was happy with that and the accompanying sides. We took a Reuben sandwich to go and it was disappointing, very fatty like a corned beef "bacon". I was expecting much better flavor as they prepare in house. There is also a parking fee of $7 which is valet service. Beautiful hotel.

The last time I set foot inside their Pleasure House Rd location was at least 10 years ago. I celebrated my birthday there as my friends were kind enough to take me out. It was a Sunday morning and I sought out a place that offered brunch. I noticed 1608 was open and decided to head over, especially since I haven't visited them in ages. When I walked in, I noticed their dining room is dimly lit - much darker than I remember. I was greeted immediately by a kind hostess and she proceeded to sit me at a nearby table and provided me with menus (one food, one alcohol). I took my time looking over the food menu, and in the meantime I ordered a pint of Center of the Universe's Bald Irishman and a bottle of Boylan's Black Cherry soda (they do not have a soda fountain). What made this visit memorable was that 1608's bartender, Hunter, was an old acquaintance from back in my restaurant days. He spotted me and came over to say hi. After my meal, I continued to catch up with him at the bar. His presence made a pleasant experience even more fantastic. I thought I was hungry, so I ordered 2 dishes - Smoked Ham Fried Rice and the Breakfast Burrito. According to Hunter, every item is made fresh in house. After biting into each, you could tell that's true. Both the fried rice and burrito were delicious and boasted lots of flavor. Although I prefer my fried rice a bit simpler (if you give me just garlic fried rice, I am SET), 1608's fried rice (veggies, garlic, soy, basmati rice, 2 runny eggs, smoked ham) had a lot going on, which made for a flavorful dish. I liked the rice and the burrito (Korean style fried chicken breast, scrambled eggs, cilantro lime, cheddar, pico de gallo) a lot. I didn't finish either because it was a lot of food (I really thought I was hungry, haha). But these leftovers turned into a fantastic dinner later on. 1608 looked clean and organized, although I thought it was a little too dark inside, at least for brunch service. That's not a dealbreaker since everything from the food to the service was as excellent as I remember. I hope to return soon with my mom. Regardless, I'll find my way back eventually. Thank you, 1608 Crafthouse! And great seeing you again, Hunter! JV

P.S: The server and host were attentive and nice, so the low rating is entirely for the food. My bf and I ordered a truffle fries to share, I ordered the Braveheart Ribeye with broccolini and risotto(forgot what flavor but it was cooked in a cream sauce), and my bf ordered the Ribeye Lasagna. The truffle fries: the fries tasted fresh but they looked like the b-dub fries. Comes with ketchup, which I was hoping for some sort of aioli for an upscale chophouse. The Braveheart Ribeye: The temperature was what I asked for(medium rare), but the char is straight up crispy brunt and bitter as if I'm eating charcoal pieces. I also ordered a demi glaze on the side, and that tasted and looked like some McCormick sauce. No demi-glaze flavor and the color is transparent like those powdered gravy packets. The broccolini was bitter. They were tucked under the steak so maybe the brunt from the steak went onto the broccolini... The risotto was creamy but they were undercooked cuz they were still hard. My bf said his Ribeye Lasagna just tasted like a normal lasagna like he couldn't tell the difference of normal beef and the "ribeye meat" that they used, but it was a big size and the sauce was pretty good so he thinks it's worth the money. The creme brulee... I have this tradition with my bf which we will order a creme brulee(if the restaurant provides) during our first visit. I'm no Michelin creme brulee reviewer, but I'd say I tried and made enough creme brulee to identify what a standard and good creme brulee is, and unfortunately this just ain't one. The flame on top is a cool gimmick but it melts the supposedly crispy top to a little too soft (we waited for about 5 mins after the flame was gone before eating it). The texture of the creme was NOT creme brulee but more like flan, when the creme should've been more of a custard/solid but creamy like texture. We were told their creme brulee has a little orangey-taste to it, but the orangey taste just totally covers the flavor of creme brulee. All we could taste was a bitter orange flan. Although my bf likes his lasagna, we both agreed that for this price we would've expected better tasting food. I have no doubt that the ingredients they used were high quality, but this is just not gonna go nowhere when you don't have the right chef to cook them.
