I order once or twice a week. Lately the pizza is comming under cooked / doughy. I started ordering it well done to get around it and its great like this. Haven't had an issue for a while just once or twice when it wasnt well done but still cooked enough. ordered today well done and it came out undercooked. I hadn't left when I noticed so I let them know. They put it back and it still came out the same. Since the pizza was cut when they put it back in it came out with the cheese cooked under the pizza soggy and gross. I dont know if their oven needs to be replaced or the temp is fluctuating or who knows. Really annoyed. read more

Service was good, friendly we did get our order to go! By the time we got home 5 minutes away food was Luke warm and we were 10 minutes early... No Ambiance...must cater to the bar? Ham cheese deluxe? Mozzarella sticks were not needed on the sammich! It actually made the sammich to busy! I took the sticks off and it was much better! Salad with spicey sweet fingers was great! Potato skins were not good at all! They had some sort of sauce under the melted cheese and when you bit into them, surprise! I don't think it was needed! Chicken finger were ok! This was our #1 favorite pizza (when done right). Amazing garlic crust, cup and char pepperoni and sweet sauce. HOWEVER, the service and wait times just aren't worth it. We are done with this place. We thought we would try them again after we already stopped ordering from them for months, maybe even a year, due to inconsistent food. Also CRAZY wait times. I'm talking an hour, an hour and a half. Then you get there, and they tell you it'll be 20 more minutes. It's ridiculous. Up to 2 hours for a freaking pizza. On top of that, the pizza would be lukewarm. So...was our order ready or not? The few times we had it fresh out of the oven, it was still piping hot when we got home. We don't even live close to the restaurant. It WAS our favorite, not worth it anymore. Also - pizzas are getting smaller and smaller, but prices only keep going up. We started paying extra for double pepperoni because we noticed that was getting skimpy. Stopped doing that too, because it was like they were mad we ordered extra and put even LESS on it. Never ordering from here again. It's like they forget to make our pizza EVERY time we order. Seriously. I don't know what else it could be. For what other reason would I be waiting an extra 20 minutes every single time? Last time we ordered (about a month ago) they told me 35-40 mins. I got there at 40 mins. AFTER I PAID, they told me it would be another 20. Within two minutes of me going back to my car, four people have gone in and have come right out with their orders. Not just smaller takeout boxes, but pizzas. I asked if they had an explanation for why I was told 35-40 minutes when I had to wait an hour when a ton of other people came in and picked up their pizzas right after me. They all just stared at me. I actually wanted to speak with a manager because I was so fed up with this happening every time we order. But at that point, I just wanted to go home. Again we don't live near the restaurant (which isn't their fault) but I had already been gone almost two hours to pick up a freaking pizza. We're 100% done with you, Chops. Not sorry. Being from Western NY, there are a plethora of awesome pizza places to go to. This past Sunday, the family decided to try out this pizza place in Gasport. It's right next to a Dollar General and a bar & grill of the same name. It's pretty easy to see it from the road and there is a good amount of parking spots. We got a parking spot right at the door. Now I didn't run in there so I didn't see if there was anyplace to sit and eat or how clean it was inside. We ended up ordering a large cheese & pepperoni pizza with a sweet red sauce (kind of like how Mark's has one...) Overall, the pizza came out fine and tasted fine! The crust was thin (thinner than what most pizza places offer around here) but the ingredients tasted good. For a group of three adults, we were able to eat the whole pizza without feeling too full afterwards. Overall, this was a pretty "safe" pizza: nothing bad about it but nothing stood out. I ordered food from Chop's yesterday just for the heck of it and I honestly feel like it's a crime that I grew up 10 minutes from there and it was only my first time trying food from there! I got the Chopper sub, which is barbecued sausage and steak together. It was a little messy, but so delicious. My brother and friends of our rave about the sweet sauce for their pizza, so I'll have to go back again and try that too. It's a small place, but they seem to get a lot of business, so I'd recommend ordering ahead of time. I had a 45 minute wait, but I was out running errands anyway, so the wait worked out for me. The pizza they make is OK. Garlic crust is like any garlic crust you can get from pizza places that do flavored crusts now. Their prices are way too high for the location and food that they offer. I work and live very close to this restaurant and I have a lot of experience with their food. The salads, pizzas, and pizza logs are good and worth trying but they have the worst chicken wings I have ever tried anywhere. They are always RAW! The skin is rubbery and meat undercooked....even after I said extra crispy and it happened 3 times. Just get chicken fingers not wings. They use char and cup pepperoni and don't have the classic pepperoni so keep that in mind! I wish they would change soooo much stuff but I doubt they will. read more

I love their traditional sauce and their garlic crust options. I'm a fan of the traditional and I love garlic so that's my go to pizza. I've been ordering from shops shop pizzeria for quite a few years. But the last two times we have received our large pizza cheese, pepperoni, garlic crust, onions and hot peppers the pepperoni has been averaging approximately 2 to 3 pieces of pepperoni per slice. I'm not sure what changed but it seems like the toppings have become very skimpy. I hope the issue soon gets corrected because I don't want to have to order double toppings just to get the correct amount of toppings that should be on a large pizza. I love their pizza and garlic crust. They now have "Chops Shop Bar & Grill" next-door to the pizzeria which is a full bar and they have their own small pub menu for bar customers. It's nice you can order your pizza to go and sit at the bar and wait for it. Really beautiful bar and tables. My only complaint is the bar staff. I have gone there several times the last few months. I attempt to order a mixed drink. It's terrible. And then I leave. I don't think the bartenders have any proper bar training. I guess its fine if you only plan on drinking beer. The bartenders are constantly going outside to smoke, chatting with friends, and catering to certain customers while others are getting forgotten. It puts off a trashy vibe. read more

We have tried Chop's Shop a couple of times in the search for good pizza and wings. It seems to be a keeper so far. LIke other places in the area, they offer sweet or regular pizza sauce. The sweet sauce is not overpowering as afflicts some pizza restaurants. Some commentators have said that the pizza is extremely garlicky. We haven't noticed a problem because the people who take the phone orders always ask if we want garlic on the crust, and we turn it down. What makes this place special, besides the good pizza and meaty wings, is the dessert option of fried dough bites with cinnamin and sugar. LIke having fried dough from the county fair. read more

The garlic crust pizza was the only thing good about this place. Our table was ignored after drink orders even though the place was not busy. After we ordered food at the bar it took about 45 minutes to get our appetizer, which was fried food. The build your own appetizer was all around pretty gross tasting. 10 minutes after that we recieved our pizza which is the only reason I'm not giving one star. A bug landed in my drink which was half full. I asked for a new one and they charged me for a second drink. We had to hunt down someone to get our bill and overall we were in there way too long. My friends and I went out here last Friday 10/18, and had the worst service. There was only one bartender working, which I understand as I myself waitress and tend bar. To paint the scene there were maybe ten people at the bar, all got their service. We came in, sat at one of their booths and waited. We found the menus ourselves. She was talking constantly and paid no attention to us. She came over to take our drink order, after we got out drinks we expected that she would come back around for our food, right? Nope, we went up to the bar and had to order. Even though she had previously checked on the two booths next to ours. After 45 min of waiting on food, we got more drinks. (Side note: not many people were ordering food, so I don't understand the hold up, we had also ordered apps). One of my friends found a fly in her beer like 3/4 the way through drinking it. So me as a bartender, I expected that she would probably get a fresh one as she was obviously not finishing it. I brought all the other empty classes and her beer up to the bar to get another round. By this time, a second bartender had come in. Which I'm like yay, finally. She was just as bad. Finally got our food, no one checked up on us. We had to ask for the check after multiple times of trying to get her attention. My friend did get charged for the fly in her beer; which is unbelievable as I've worked in the business for many many years. After finally getting the check I brought my card to the bar and waited another 7 min or so for the original bartender to finish texting whoever so was talking to, as that was more important than her job. The pizza was the only reason I would give this one star, fried food was horrible, and service was even worse! Don't recommend anyone to ever go here. read more

Everything here is very good and a lot less pricey then other pizzerias. They make their own sauce recipes and dough. The fish fries are amazing any way you get them and come with a lot of sides. The steak and cheese pizza is really good! Especially the one with onion rings on it. And if you have any special requests he will be more then happy to accommodate them to make your food just how you want it! read more

So normally I'd give chops 10 stars all day but I definitely don't want to hurt the business because they do a pretty good job. So this yelp review is only being written as constructive criticism, get rid of the buffalo crunch rolls, I was charged $9 and all they were was 5 bite size and over fried snacks (not good). The subs were delicious as usual!! I almost always order pizza (sweet sauce and garlic crust) but the last few were definitely lacking flavor on the crust.
