This place is disgusting. I should have yelped before stopping here. The sushi was horrible. You could not pick up the sushi without it falling all apart. We paid $50 for 3 sushi rolls and 2 sodas. It was my first time eating here I was definitely caught off guard when I walked in, I wasn't expecting the modern decor and techno/trance music they were playing which added a nice touch to the upbeat/lounge atmosphere they are going for. I loved the Pho and after talking to the owner I'm looking forward to December when they will start serving alcohol and staying open later. Since Killeen is a small town and there isn't a lot to do here I've been looking for a place that has a chill atmosphere to mingle instead of another ratchet club scene. I have been going to this restaurant off and on for about 7 years. I have always enjoyed the food, which was the one thing that always had me coming back for more. Everything else (i.e. ambiance, wait staff, etc) was ok. Normally, I would have given 3 out of 5 stars to this restaurant, but... Recently new management has taken over, and what a difference! They have done a complete 180 of the restaurant (i.e. decorations, seating arrangements, wait staff, music, etc). Even the food has REALLY improved. From what I learned from the manager today, they are using fresher ingredients, more flavor in their food, and soon will be getting licensed to sell alcohol. I have always enjoyed their staff. They are always welcoming; talkative; and make me feel like they have known me for years, even when they are new there. But sometimes the service could be a little slow. That has recently improved as well, and hopefully continues to improve. I don't care what your race/ethnicity/sex/language is, as long as you are a good waiter/waitress, and understand/help me with ordering food, and my dining experience, then that is great. In the past there were issues with this as well, but I haven't had a problem with this in a while. In fact, it was the opposite the last few times that I have been there. The manager did mention that they were hiring younger wait staff, and looking for new hires. They are also putting in a bar, and karaoke. I think this will definitely make the dining experience more enjoyable. I love the new management, and the continued (needed) improvements that they are so willing to make! I visited last night, and saw a tremendous turn around in the place. I really enjoyed my time there. It is very modernized/chic, and exactly what Killeen needs in a good Asian cuisine restaurant. This is definitely a place that I would enjoy spending my Friday/Saturday night eating out with friends/family. The lighting, music, new seating placement, decorations, and overall ambiance made this experience tonight totally worth coming here for dinner. I'm not a sushi snob but I've had amazing traditional sushi to the gimmicky ones with stupid names. I've been in both Sushi track and your standard sit down and order sushi restaurants. I've also become accustomed to the sushi track style restaurants that have been popping up every where for their get in and get out style. This is actually my second time here. Second times a charm right? Well not for me. This wonderful place disappointed yet again. Decided to have lunch with my family and thought lets try this again. Walked in and the music was a little loud and boomy. Cool I guess. Wasn't like this the last time we were here. Waitress greeted us with " Hi sit anywhere that's comfortable". We sit down and wait for about 10 minutes and here she comes as I expected her to say " would you like a booster seat or high chair for your child" as with any eatery we've been too would say. But no. She just looked at me and smiles and says " what could I get you to drink" While my son sits on my lap as I'm telepathically telling her that I would like a booster seat please. She hands us our menus as we ordered our drinks, she comes back with our drinks and still not offered a booster seat. The menu to me was set up in a way to make it look like we were in a 4 star sushi joint. The prices are way to high in my very honest opinion. The names of all their rolls were laughable. I always get a kick to think how they come up with these stupid names for their over drenched in crap sauce rolls. So as another employee just walks in is instantly pawned off to us by our original server...So now we have a new sever who seems like she just started because she looks totally discombobulated. She didn't ask if we wanted a booster seat. She takes our order. I ordered the chopstick bento and my wife ordered the veggie bento. And for our son, a side of rice and fried gyoza. Still no booster seat. Also the music seemed to get louder and more annoying Finally after about a 20 minute wait our "bentos" arrived. The bento from what I know is traditionally served in a wooden box. What we got was rectangular plastic tray with compartments that held our over priced tasty treats. Before we dug in we finally gave in and asked for a booster seat. The sushi that came with mine fell apart as soon as I touched it delicately with my amazing chop stick skills. They all tasted the same as all the others in my "bento" Though they looked different and had different ingredients. I don't know the name of them, probably the killeen special? Or maybe it was called" this looks like it doesn't take more than 5 minutes to make rolls?" The salad that came with it reminded me of something I was severed in school sprinkled with black and white sesame seeds. One scoop of rice sprinkled with a few specks of black and white sesame seeds. A smidgen of fake wasabi paste ( I actually like this stuff). The chicken looked like nothing I've seen before drenched in a funky sauce sprinkled with more amazing black and white sesame seeds. It tasted weird. The only thing that was satisfying besides that amazing smidgen of wasabi was the fried gyoza. My wife on the other hand enjoyed hers for some odd reason. I guess it was the deep fried vegetables. Because Americans loves deep fried foods! My son is one year old so he had no say in this but he did eat all his food. :all the sushi places I've been to had wasabi and pickled ginger (gari) set on your table in a little bowl like how they have salt and pepper shakers set out. So that was weird for me not to see: First time here I wasn't impressed.Second time around sealed the deal. This place SUCKS! Music, service and food. They all sucked. For the price we paid in this type of sushi restaurant we should have went to red lobster or twin peaks. Acutally asia buffet would have been a better choice. It seems like their trying too hard to oversell something that from the quality they put in front of me and what I can tell isn't hard to make at all. I know making sushi is an art form but those places are pretty rare. And for those that like this place...you guys need to get out more. So overall I had an amazingly horrible experience. The prices on the menu should reflect the quality of food they put out. They totally missed it, Twice. The last sushi track restaurant I've been to is called sushi hana. Where you can actually see them making your rolls. They are better tasting, better quality, have more variety , they make your order if you want something fresh and priced just right at 1.75 for 3 just right size pieces. You can leave the place full under 10 bucks. Chopstick is a total rip off. We left with 35 bucks less in our pockets. HEB across the street has better sushi than this. So if you plan on even stepping in chopsticks...STOP turn around and take your behind right to HEB to get better tasting sushi at a great price. read more

Me and my wife have been coming here even before we were married. We have always had good experiences at Chopstick. The Spicy Army tempura roll has ALWAYS been a favorite of ours. We decided to take a trip there for dinner tonight because we haven't been for a few months, been to busy and all. Lemme tell you folks if you haven't been in a while now is the time to go. They have completely revamped not only the look of the interior but added SO MANY brand new menu items (I recommend the pineapple chicken roll). The experience was AWESOME! Food was delicious as always and our waiter was polite and prompt with everything we needed. If I had any complaints its that the food doesn't come with a complimentary bowl of Miso and salad anymore. That and you have to ask for Siracha sauce cause its not placed on the table, but honestly those are TINY things compared to how good the food and service was. 5 Stars guys, keep up the good work. read more

Ok, ok... not to bad!!! I remember when it was a dive Korean sushi bar that tried to serve Japanese food. Since then they have renovated and changed a lot.... The food is better & sushi fresher. Considering this is in Killen it would be a 5 star Resturant.. But in reality it's a 4 tops. Decent service, a bit pricey for,the quality but as I said considering it's in Killeen, don't have a cow. H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E...first, the high chairs were all overly dirty and down right filthy. Taped and wired together and the straps didn't work. Then our salad and soup come with plastic forks and spoons...they REUSE them...the 'bus' station for dirties was right in the middle of the restaurant so you get to look at nasty food, plates, trash, and liquid from the drinks. Then about 30 minutes later, our food FINALLY shows up. I have NEVER seen sushi rolls so ridiculously large...I don't know if they think Americans are big mouthed pigs or what, but one piece wouldn't even fit into my palm. The sushi was bland. The crunch roll was good, but just boring. I have NEVER seen the brown sauce they used either. I had wanted to give this place a try since WW closed and something I guess was holding me back...well, found out the reason today and I will NEVER EVER go back there...oh, and did I mention it was EXTREMELY expensive. This place has recently gone down hill. This place used to be my go to spot for sushi, however I find myself going to HEB for sushi more. I will say the bulgogi is very good and the specials they offer are too. The pho, however, is terrible. I like this place. It's always quiet and the staff is friendly enough. The music they play cracks me up. I have never eaten any bad sushi or any other dish. One time they gave me plastic utensils. Despite all the negative reviews I have to say I enjoyed this place. I travel to Killeen to visit family and when I do i usually frequent another restaurant. However I was craving Pho which the other place does not serve. I will say the service was great to say the least. The price was reasonable and the pho was pretty good. The sushi at Chopstick is amazing! I am very sad we had to move and I can no longer find sushi to match the taste, cost, and pleasant service of this establishment. I love the baked lobster roll, spider roll, and dynamite rolls. The rolls here are huge, so you are certain to walk away full and satisfied. My husband and I ate here once the sushi came out and looked amazing! but when we took a bite they were WAY to big you could not fit the whole thing in your mouth so you had to cut it up, there was way to much rice on it so the flavor was bland. Our waiter was eating and texting while we were there at a table almost right across from me. We ended up taking the food to go and 50 dollars later on only 4 rolls we were not impressed it all. I'm not a foodie, nor an expert on pho or sushi. My wife and I really enjoyed the food here, though. We both ordered the "Special Everything" for lunch. Servings were ample and included teriyaki chicken, rice, salad with a sesame ginger dressing, gyoza, soup, and 4 pieces each of California and crunchy rolls. Do I know if it tasted "authentic"? They have really changed the whole place. The people are really nice and take great care of you. The food was excellent. Had the Bulgogi and is was great. The Yummy Yummy Roll was amazing. Let me start by saying, I've eaten here before and it was great. Today, however, was another story. We waited so long to have our order taken that the young man that came in after us had gotten halfway through his meal before the waiter came by. There were only about 4 other diners, by the way. We ordered 2 rolls each. Each roll took about 20 minutes to come out, one at a time, and the rice tasted like it had been left in the fridge overnight. Dry, tasteless and unseasoned. I don't mind waiting for my food, if the food is worth the wait (it wasn't, I couldn't get past one piece of the spicy salmon roll). I'm going to go out on a limb and say it was in the top 3 worst sushi I've ever had. So, one star for bad food and bad service read more
