    Watery brown sauce

I walked in to make an order. I ordered the dinner size vegetables in brown sauce and instead of white rice I wanted veggie fried rice. I also ordered two veggie eggrolls. My order came out to $32 and I was a bit confused. She added rice as an extra order so she had to avoid it and start over then she gives me my food and I go to walk out and notice the ticket says pork egg roll. I go back to her and tell her they were supposed to be veggie. I had to wait for them to make a new raw. I get home and find out they are mushy spring rolls. The veggies were watery with no flavor and the rice was undercooked. When I first came here last year, it was amazing. I don't know what is going on, but they need to get it together. Even when I called to explain that my order was incorrect they hung up on me by mistake and then didn't understand me so I just hung up and said forget it.

    Tofu in garlic sauce

Amazing customer service. Excellent recommendations and we we're able to go off the menu and customize! I'm impressed. It's americanized Chinese food however they have some menu items you can't get at most similar places like mapo tofu. They have an extensive list of tofu dishes! Also fresh spring rolls that looked delicious. Definitely will be back to try more menu items.

Hot n sour with lunch combo

Standard take out. Not a lot of veg in the hot n sour soup but the consistency was good. The general tso chicken was cooked well but the sauce was basic without heat even though it was billed as spicy.

This place use to be called KJ's chinese, which i use to love in its old location. It now has different owners now and located in the same area. The last owner sold it to another family member (i believe) and everything is the same. same menu, same prices, same chef. the new location is in the I-Square market set back off of Titus. They still don't deliver, so i think thats the only thing i would change of the place. they have take out and sit down if you decide to stay in the "food court" like setting with the other restaurants that are there. the portions do seem a tad bit smaller when dining in rather than take out, but thats ok. i still had left overs. probably best to not eat all the chinese in one sitting anyway. i recommend the sesame chicken and lo mein, but then again everything is good.

My go to for Chinese Food. Their Sesame Shrimp is by far my favorite dish. It is pretty much the only thing I order. Staff is fantastic.

Decided to try since I'm local but there was a weird aftertaste in the sesame chicken. Wasn't great unfortunately.

The spot has that old-school Chinese takeout vibe: simple, clean, and focused on flavor, not flash. --- What I Ordered: General Tso's Chicken Shrimp Lo Mein Crab Rangoons Egg Roll Steamed Dumplings --- General Tso's Chicken: Sweet, spicy, and crispy - exactly how it should be. The sauce had a good kick without overpowering the flavor. Chicken was tender inside with that golden crunch. Easily one of the best in the area. Shrimp Lo Mein: Noodles were cooked just right - not too greasy, not too dry. Shrimp was fresh and had good bite. Could use a little more garlic or soy for depth, but still solid. Crab Rangoons: Creamy, crunchy, and packed with flavor. These were a hit. You get that satisfying crunch with the creamy crab filling - not overly sweet like some spots do. Steamed Dumplings: Soft and juicy with a flavorful pork filling. Dipping sauce was on point. Not doughy, just right. Egg Roll: Golden and crispy with a nice balance of cabbage and pork inside. Great with the duck sauce. --- Pros: Big portions, great value Fast service Hits all the nostalgic Chinese takeout cravings Clean and well-packaged Cons: Lo mein could use a little more flavor Limited seating (best for takeout) --- Final Verdict (8.9/10): New Number One Chinese Restaurant is bringing the heat. Classic Chinese-American dishes done right. If you're craving comfort food that hits every time, this place delivers - literally and figuratively. Perfect for a late-night boss fight meal or chilling after a long grind. Let me know what YOU always order from your local Chinese spot - and drop your suggestions for the next food battle

While visiting on a cool night, the Dan Dan Noodles sounded really appealing to me, and they did not disappoint! The bowl was a large portion with a good amount of noodles and tender, juicy ground pork. The broth was hot and spicy, but also flavorful...the heat was not too overpowering for me. I was very happy with my meal, but also happy to taste some other items we got to share. Edamame always seems like a good way to start a meal...these were overly salted for my liking. The scallion pancake was okay...a little small with just four thin pieces. More successful were the namesake dumplings. I really liked their versions of Xaio Long Bao - both the original pork and shrimp varieties contained delicious broth and fillings. We also shared the pork and chive dumplings, beef dumplings, and pork and corn dumplings...and we would order all of them again! The orange chicken was also an enjoyable dish to share, and good way to add some variety to the plethora of dumplings. I'm sure they get a lot of young customers from RIT and UofR, and the music catered more to this audience - it was a bit loud for my preference. But, service was very good and it is a fun casual environment to enjoy some good, reasonably priced chow with friends!

Not very adventurous but a good start for comparisons. My impression was that each item was well-prepared with fresh ingredients. Just would have liked more broccoli in the chicken.
