If you value your health, skip Chopsticks. The food was bland, slimy, and the texture was totally off. Within an hour of eating dinner here, both my Fiance and I had the worst stomach pains. We tried to keep the leftovers, but the smell made us sick. We have never had worse food in our lives. I hope the health dept checks this place out. Not terrible food but it is very bland and without much flavor at all. My parents and I ordered honey walnut prawns, chicken chow mein, pork egg foo young and general tso's chicken. I don't eat seafood but my parents said the prawns were their favorite, the chicken chow mein had no flavor and very bland as was the pork egg foo young, the generals chicken was very tough and chewy and had an almost sweet and sour sauce on it, not generals sauce. The service was pretty good but because the food was pretty lousy, we definitely won't be going back. read more

I have been coming here quite regularly since moving to Edmonds over 10 years ago I have always been happy with my food. The servers are always very nice. Yesterday I changed from my usual 4-5 five things that I order and ordered the barbecue pork chop suey which came in a luncheon special as a substitute for chow mein. I think it's now my favorite thing there. The vegetables were so fresh and nicely crisp. Even though it was a luncheon special I had more than half of it left to take home and had it for dinner because I couldn't wait until the next day to eat the leftovers they were so good! read more

Very, very friendly staff who are extremely welcoming. Great, old school lounge that's always full of Edmonds locals. Good experience tonight at Chopsticks, which was our first experience with this restaurant. We ordered takeout. It was ready in 10 minutes (that's fast). The Mongolian Beef was excellent - the onions wide type scallions and they really added to the dish. Also ordered chicken fried rice and it was excellent. Place is mostly empty. Heaven forbid I dine alone. Lady says all I have is large tables. I don't care. That doesn't bother me. She says but it's a large table. Do NOT eat anything that is deep-fried. I had the appetizer platter which included egg rolls, fried shrimp, and fried chicken wings. The batter is total shit. Have you ever had batter that is thin, crazy-ass greasy, and almost burnt? Well this is what you get. BUT, the hot and sour soup and wonton soup were awesome. The broth tastes homemade and hearty. The wontons inside the soup were more like rice paper wrapped meatball goodness. Oh, and the lemon chicken...guess what? Same shit batter. Stay away from anything deep fried, you have been warned. While the prices are cheap, the food is not great at all. Even then fried rice was not great (too much soy sauce and the rice was dry). I didn't like my Almond Fried Chicken and the person I was with have Mu Shu. I tasted it and it wasn't good. It didn't even look like what traditional Mu Shu is served like. I had the Almond Fried Chicken lunch recently and it was huge. Make no mistake I have had better but for the size of the lunch I received and low price it was a great bargain. This is not a "destination spot" but if your in the hood and hungry it should tide you over. The dinner combinations for $8.25 - $8.75 are huge and hit the spot if your looking for dinner on the way to or from the Ferry or just happen to be in the area. My husband and I had dinner/take out from Chopsticks. It was delicious and give it 4 stars. good prices and loads of food. We are about 15 minutes away and the food was hot, the egg rolls were almost too hot. I am sure eating in their very nice dining area would even improve the taste because all the sauces are on the food and presented in a delicious way. This is the classic Chinese-American food I grew up with. If you're looking for trendy, this is not the place. But if you want hearty, reliable standbys you can't do better than this. Everything is always hot and fresh in generous portions, reasonable prices, and the service is fast. They make substitutions on the family dinners with no problem, so my wife and I are able to tailor a meal to our tastes. They also have a quick turn-around for take-out orders. I have been coming to Chopsticks for about eight years, and they always give you a TON of food for your money! The food tastes pretty good also! But, last night I ordered some food to go, and it look much longer than 15 minutes. And then when I got home, two of the dinners had hairs in them! GROSS!!! There is no reason for hair being in the food, the chefs should know better! That's the only reason why I gave them three stars. But finding a hair really worries me about how clean the kitchen is and how strict they are with their health code policies! read more

We have had take out from here once or twice a month since moving to Edmonds. It's not great, but it's consistently decent and it's close. I had never reviewed them on YELP because it's average American style Chinese and not much else to say. We get take out because the decor is so old it's smelly and the staff isn't the friendliest. Today as we waited unusually long for our order to be ready our upper grade school aged child was quietly playing a math game on the iPhone 6 he got when I traded up to an 8 in December. The woman ringing up our order not only commented on what a nice phone our child had (none of her business) but asked if they were our only child (even less her business) and then stated "That's why they're spoiled." WTH? Thanks for the very unsolicited opinion, this is the last time your bland take out is on the menu at our house. They have been in Edmonds for as long as I remember, and they are the nicest people, always eager to help and make sure our meals are great. I love their specials, and my wife and I grab lunch here all the time. We work in the Westgate area, and this the best place to grab lunch. read more
