Honey Walnut Shrimp Lunch Special

Went in at 10:48 to try the Chopstix like 15 minutes before the regular hours or so & they gave me an awesome Mongolian Beef entree pro tip here to upgrade the egg soup to the pho broth. Pretty decent portions here too. I like this restaurant. The Lunch Specials here go hard. Pics don't include soup or egg roll which are both included on Lunch Soecial. Consistently impressed w this place. Grateful to have a decent Chinese/ Pho place out here. Much recommend

I stumbled across this quaint restaurant on my way back into town passing through Dayton Friday evening. I figured I would have an eaelier dinner before heading back into town. I saw the name, "Chopstix" and thought I wanted Chinese food until I saw they served pho. Pho has been my comfort food of choice for about two decades now. My server, I think he said his name was José was attentive, but not over bearing. I was impressed by his skills to juggle the restaurant alone. He is a one man show! I loved my pho, my only complaint is that there could be more rice noodles. There wasn't much and they are fairly inexpensive for a big package. I would have given 5 stars, but I feel for the value I had to give only 4. Would I stop back in? Yes, I would.

I love this place for pho. The staff is really nice. We often stop in for a late dinner with the family.

A good friend of mine has been bragging about how good J's was for a few years now so we decided to…read moregive it a go for my birthday. This is not a recommendation but a must try! We had a reservation on a Thursday night so seating was easy and highly recommended. The service was friendly and spot on. The ambiance was wonderful, very well thought with an interesting history worth reading about when you go. The food was a real treat and we are looking forward to experiencing J's again soon.

Tonight we came out to Js for my husband's birthday…read more The restaurant was clean, dimly lit, and fairly loud. Our waitress was good but not one of our favorites. Our waters were never filled and our non-alcoholic beverage drinkers were never checked on to see if their drinks were ok/wanted something else/need anything. She also only checked on us 1x right after the food was dropped off to see if we needed freshly ground pepper and not again until it was time for desert and the check. For appetizers we had the Thai Scallops and the special Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus. The Thai Scallops are one of our go-tos and they were good; however, they were pretty heavily breaded tonight. The Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus was good but was hard to eat and could have used a bit more cooking. For my main I had the linguine and clams. I was HIGHLY disappointed in this tonight. The noodles were delicious and beautifully done but the "sauce" was nothing but pasta water. There was flavor: no garlic, no butter, no clams-no flavor whatsoever. The clams were also macerated as if someone chewed them up and spit them in the dish for me. My husband had the ribeye with gorgonzola butter and polenta. Everything was cooked beautifully and seasoned perfectly but his chunk of butter (his favorite) was so frozen it never melted-even by the end of the meal. For desert, my husband had the bread pudding and we had the crème brûlée. My husband said the bread pudding was good but slightly dry and cold. The crème brûlée was horrible. We sent it back and got "oh sorry someone new made them-big fail" and laughing. The brûlée was not even close to being set so it was pure liquid. It wasn't even a consistent temperature. After years of loving eating at Js and celebrating milestones here it makes me sad to see how quality is slipping.

He bragged about how good it was and how the price was totally unmatched from other places. He was totally right! We all ordered the lunch special and it was eleven bucks. It came with your choice of one entree, rice, chowmein, choice of soup, and one eggroll. Pretty awesome huh. The service was excellent, you can hear them make your food and it felt like we only waited for 10 mins. The only one thing I'll comment on was that my main entree was a bit too salty and my husband also agreed that his entree was also too salty, but overall still good. Lastly, the environment was a total early 2000s Chinese Restaurant vibe. They weren't busy when we went so my first time experiencing eating here was pretty neat. The hostess and waiter were very accommodating and friendly. Totally coming back here to try more. Come try out this place if you haven't if you're down in Carson City, cheers.

I could just eat that! So.... When in Carson check them out. Right off the 50 hwy about 1/2 mile. Yes I forgot to get pics. I was so excited about eating lunch, yep... I forgot! Oopsie!!

This was a great little Chinese restaurant! I came here with family while visiting. We were all…read morecraving Chinese. Now I'm in the Bay Area where Chinese restaurants are very plentiful and pretty delicious. This place measured up pretty decently! We ordered family style: Egg rolls: (2 orders, 2 in an order) 4/5 pretty standard egg rolls. Chicken Fried Rice: 4/5 rice was fine but I didn't like the chicken as much. Just my personal preference. Garlic Chicken: 5/5 This was my favorite dish! The chicken was breast meat, the garlic sauce was so good, and it included carrots, white onions and zucchini. We ordered it with extra garlic so there were slices of garlic as well. Delicious! Cashew Chicken: 4/5 pretty good, but I didn't detect many cashews. But the dish itself fine, with nice medley of chicken and celery, carrots, onions, etc. I do like a nice cashew crunch so maybe I'll ask for extra cashews next time! Mongolian Beef: 4/5 this is always a go-to dish and I normally love a lot of onions if the ratio matches the beef. This definitely had more onions than beef, however it was not a dealbreaker, but something to take note of. We had a fair amount of onions left on the plate and it could have made 1 more serving. However it was delicious so maybe next time I'll ask for extra beef? Lol. The decor is really cute too, nice chandeliers, paintings and jade statues. Service was great too, no complaints! I enjoyed my meal, it satisfied my craving and I'll be back!
