Bbq 20. B.B.Q Pork Egg Noodle

Asian Noodle has been my go to spot for a while now, however today it was off, I mean really off, the quality of the food was terrible. I was irritated. I ordered the imperial rolls it was okay I've had better from this place in the past. Next was the bbq pork egg noodle soup ugh it needed help, we normally drink the soup but for some reason it had no taste just bland. 3rd was the bbq ribs. Let me say this was by far the worst. The ribs was over cooked and very dry, the sauce was not the Chinese char siu it tasted like sweet and sour sauce mixed with ketchup, it was different extremely different. The owners of this restaurant are the same owners as Hong Kong Diner on Peckham and Virginia. And Both places the quality of the food is going down hill fast. What could you improve the quality of your dishes.

Had to make this a quick stop and service was quick. My go to pork fried rice and a fantastic boba honeydew. The rice was excellent with just enough grease and loads of pork also a huge portion which I loved. They are in the center with Costco but parking is available. There are many options on the menu I will try on my future visits. It definitely is worth your visit.

Stopped by while running some errands in the shopping center. Ordered my standard order - combination pho and imperial rolls / eggrolls. Eggrolls were fried well, the accouterments were a little sad to look at. Overall flavor was 3.5/5 Combo Pho has 2 sizes, the larger size is only $1 more, but I ordered the regular size and it was plenty. The broth was really oily and the meatballs were very bland...like cardboard. 2.5/5 Ambience: zero ambience, typical casual sitdown Asian restaurant Service: 3/5 Fast, normal, nothing stood out good or bad. Price: With tip my total was $27 ish, I'd say great value to volume ratio. Flavorwise, I think you can find better elsewhere.

The "curry chicken" is 99% canned water chestnuts and bamboo you can still smell the can brine was nasty. The hot and sour soup was also full of canned bs I just set this shit out for the hungry humans but I wouldn't go again

I love their Crispy Fried Chicken. Portion is great with a lot of pickled side vegetables. And most of all items on the menu are reasonably priced. You are getting the bang for your buck. Great job!

We went to Costco and were hungry after the shopping trip and this restaurant was conveniently located. For those unaware, the restaurant is located within the Costco shopping center. The pho that I had was good, especially the broth. The meat was tender and the noodles were cooked nicely. One downside was that the noodles to broth ratio was more on the broth side. I wish there were more noodles in the bowl. My wife had the vermicelli noodles, which she said was delicious. One negative is that we ordered the Thai tea with boba, which we had to return as it was not good. The service was good and prompt. We were seated quickly and our order was taken quickly as well. In addition, the food came out quickly. The only negative is that the restaurant ambience is lacking. We were seated in the adjoining room, not the main room of the restaurant. The restaurant was dark and there were restaurant supply visible throughout the place. It appears they are lacking storage.

Asian Noodles never disappoints! It's one of my husband and I's go to restaurants for a quick date whether lunch or dinner. It is easy to access and in a convenient location in the Costco parking lot. The staff have always been kind to me and whoever else I'm with and service is almost always good with occasional duds. The restaurant seems small, but has a whole back room with a lot of extra seating. I've hardly ever had to wait to be seated. I always opt for the Flame Broiled Pork and an iced coffee with the condensed milk (I think that's what it is, I could be totally wrong haha). The pork is super filling and always extremely flavorful. The iced coffee is a lovely treat and if you're a coffee lover, I highly recommend it. Most recently, I tried their crab wontons/rangoon and they were crispy and flavorful; would definitely order again!

One of my go to Asian food spots in Reno. Solid restaurant and great prices. Yes, it's not the "best" but what do you expect for 10- 11 dollars? Good, quality Vietnamese food. The imperial rolls are crunchy and hot. The fried wonton soup is really good. The pho, Bun rieu, and bun Bo hue warms the soul. Bonus: If you are a Costco member, they give you 10% off!

The Wok is one of those places, and Sichuan/Chongqing food is one of those things that I'm jealous of people who get to experience it for the first time. Here's how to have an epic time at The Wok: Step 1. Get 4 to 8 people total that aren't afraid to try something a little different and maybe slightly spicy (seriously though it's not actually that spicy). If you need help with this step message me, I'd share a meal with some random people if it's at The Wok. Step 2. Flip to the back page of the menu, and order a few things that sound good to the group. Don't waste your time with the American Chinese menu (even though what I've had off of that menu is actually really good too). Make sure to get a decent mix of stuff like appetizers, veggies, noodle, soup, and meat dishes. Also don't be afraid to order multiple times. This gives you more time with the menu, and you can judge what sounds good in the moment. Step 3. Share the food family style with everyone until you are all full. I think at this point I've eaten everything on the Sichuan menu, and can say that if it sounds good to you, it is! Some of my favorite dishes are: Wontons in Chili oil, Bone in chicken wings, Spicy boiled fish fillet, Beef noodle soup, Green beans, Salt and Pepper tofu, Dan dan noodles, and Mapo Tofu. Finally, Janet (the manager) is amazing, and always willing to give a recommendation.

Decor is a bit overdone, but that seems to fit the vibe of anywhere with casinos, so can't blame them for trying to fit in. A bar dominates the view from the entrance, then ample tables of several sizes to the right. We filled the rear corner (two giant tables) and had mostly good food, although the sweet and sour chicken was forgettable. A fried squash (pumpkin?) was delectable, had some very good bean curd/mixed veggies, the Sichuan water fish did the job but was a bit short from the best I've had-- which to be fair is tough because there is so much Sichuan food everywhere these days. A second veggie dish with lotus root was also excellent, and the sweet and sour pork, while not memorable, was distinctly better than the sweet and sour chicken.

We ordered the Vermicelli with Grilled Chicken, Dry Fried Beef Chow Fun, and Gai Lan with Beef. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. With "Hong Kong Diner" in the name, I was expecting authentic Cantonese stir-fries with good wok hei. Unfortunately, the Dry Fried Beef Chow Fun lacked that signature smoky flavor, and the texture was closer to lo fun than traditional chow fun. The Gai Lan with Beef also lacked wok hei. The outer layer of the gai lan stems had been peeled away, so the stems lost the crisp texture that makes gai lan so enjoyable. The Vermicelli with Grilled Chicken was overly tender and quite salty. It seemed to be marinated so heavily that I couldn't really taste the natural flavor of the chicken. Overall, the restaurant offers generous portions, reasonable prices, and friendly service. I just wish the Cantonese dishes had delivered the wok hei I was expecting from a place with "Hong Kong Diner" in its name. :)

They have a great lunch special with plenty of options which is what I'm usually there for, but outside the lunch special I love the beef chow fun with black bean sauce. We decided to make it our next date night spot. We went on a Friday around 5:30 and it wasn't very crowded yet. They asked if we preferred a table or a booth, and we went with a booth near the front. The restaurant itself is really nice, but I'll say the booth felt a little tight. Next time, we'll probably go with a table for a bit more space. The service was top notch. The staff was incredibly attentive, and our drinks were constantly refilled. Our glasses were never empty, which always stands out. About 15 minutes after we sat down, the place filled up fast. It seemed like most people coming in had reservations, so I'd definitely recommend making one if you're planning to go after 6 pm. We decided on the Shanghai Dinner. I ordered the sweet and sour pork, and my wife got the sweet and sour chicken. I was tempted by the cashew chicken and kung pao chicken, but we'll save those for next time. The appetizers were amazing. The meal comes with spring rolls, crab rangoon, paper wrapped chicken, and honey glazed BBQ spareribs. Everything was delicious. My wife loved the paper wrapped chicken, and for me, the ribs were the standout. They were tender with just the right hint of sweetness. Honestly, I could've eaten a full plate of just those and been happy. For sides, I had the egg flower soup, which was really flavorful, and my wife had the salad. She could not stop talking about how good the dressing was. Both the sweet and sour pork and chicken were great. The sauce had that perfect tangy, slightly sweet flavor. That said, next time we probably won't order the same sauce for both dishes. I think pairing something like sweet and sour with kung pao would give a better balance with a little heat to cut through the sweetness. Overall, this place is a winner. Great food, solid portions, and the price is very reasonable at about $33 per person for the Shanghai Dinner. My wife enjoyed everything so much that after seeing another table order the duck, she's already talking about coming back to try it. I've been trying to get her to try duck for a while, so I'm looking forward to that next visit. We'll definitely be back.
