I love this place. Since I work in White Marsh it's pretty convenient to go there to get food for dinner or even food for lunch. They also have the option to eat in. The food is very good the staff is friendly. My favorite is the crab meat wontons chicken noodle soup and general Cho's chicken which is made of white meat. When you eat in they also give you a little bowl of crunchy noodles and dipping sauce to eat while you're waiting for your food it's clean in there and has a good atmosphere. read more

Can't figure this place out. First couple times were amazing but shortly after have become just edible or inedible, especially food with vegetables in it. I don't mind onions but when it becomes half the meal then it's a bit to much. You will get a dish with onion and then if it has noodles or anything then you will get small onions and onions the same shape as the noodles so the taste is only onion flavored. They have a fascination with onion and dipping sauce that tastes like sake sock water. The dumplings there are great but now the sauce with it tastes like feet so I just make my own so I can somewhat enjoy my meal. read more

I really liked this place. I like Chinese entree dishes and my daughter is hooked on sushi rolls. Here at Chopstix in PerryHall you can get both. I ordered a Baltimore Roll and my daughter got the California and Bay rolls. They were all very good. We asked to have the roll cut into small pieces and they did that for us. In addition, I ordered the chicken with string beans and it was very good. The string beans were bright green and crunchy... Not typically what I like ... but the flavor was excellent. The sodas were bottomless... So you can drink as much as you want for 1 price. Our total bill came to a few dollars under $50 without tip. Service was good, food arrived quick and hot. I would definitely come here again. This place was fairly busy for a Thursday evening so it may be very busy on weekends. read more

Hands down the best place to get sushi in the White Marsh/Perry Hall area. The place is clean, the servers are friendly and personable and the chefs are very professional. In my opinion, the spicy tuna is the best in the Baltimore area and I've made my rounds in the Baltimore city/county area. The salmon is always fresh and consistent. I've been going there on a weekly basis for over three years and I have never had a bad piece of fish. If you really want a treat, ask for the volcano roll! This is me and my boyfriend's go-to sushi place in the area. My favorites are the Baltimore roll and the pearl river roll. He loves the spicy tuna. Baltimore County Chinese claims to serve Sushi, with questionable sanitation. Overcooked unseasoned sushi rice (shari), smashed with bland and stale ingredients. Personal experiences, having eaten there on several occasions (living within walking distance affords us the "luxury" of giving them numerous "second chances"): - Ordered the salmon roe sushi (Ikura gunkan maki), returned it as old (soft and pasty) - was told by the Chinese host that it was fresh ... perhaps in Beijing! - Chirashi (bowl of rice topped with sashimi and garnishes) - Was served overcooked unseasoned sushi rice, served on a plate, topped with sparse, cheap fish items. ... Didn't even bother to comment. - Any Chinese dish ordered has been unexceptional. - Luckily (or unluckily) we never sat at the sushi bar, and the last time we gave it a "second chance" we noticed the clear evidence of unsanitary conditions (dirty rags wiping the sushi knives and cutting area, etc.) discussed in other posts ... right back out the door and over to Bombay Nights (five-star Indian vs. one-star Japanese at Chopstix). read more

I love the California rolls here because Chopstix always puts a lot of imitation crab meat in them! I usually get their sushi lunch special because it's a good deal (two rolls + miso soup + salad for about $10). The Chinese food here is also pretty good, but I've noticed that they don't give that much if you order a seafood entree (like scallops). I usually call for take out orders, and they are always very quick with completing my order. read more

One of the best sushi places around since the demise of Kawasaki in fells point a few years back. Chinese food is much fresher than most carry out places and worth the drive to pick it up (they don't deliver). Excellent variety of dishes and sushi to choose from. Prices are 'fair'. The place can get very busy on the weekends and evenings. Try to go for late lunch sometime (1-3pm is an excellent time to go). If you like the sushi from this place... you should try the sushi from "Grill & Go" (they just changed their name though), it's located around the corner from Ace Hardware in the Perry Hall shopping center. This reveiw is strictly about the Perry Hall location. All the fabulous reviews you find on here are about the Foresthill location. We found Chopstix on Yelp and the menu that is displayed with the review that were posted, we were VERY excited to give this place a try. It is impossible to find a good Chinese Restaurant anywhere around the Baltimore area....all you're going to find is the steriotypical Americanized Chinese carryout variety. My other half is from Hong Kong, so I'm always on the lookout for something great close to home (and save me a drive to Northern VA). We drove out very excited at having the choice of Dim Sum or the variety of items we saw on the menu. When we arrived, we were seated with 2 lunch menus listing the Americanized Chinese carryout variety of items and 1 regular menu. We both kept passing the regular menu back and forth looking for these treasures we saw online. When the waitress came, I told her I was there because of the menu that is listed online. She literally laughed at me and told me that was the Foresthill location only. My other half asked about Dim Sum and she laughed at him too! They don't do Dim Sum at this location, only Foresthill we were told. I was beyond irritated now. We decided to make the best of it and ordered anyway. The waiter evidenetly decided I didn't want anything and failed to bring me any food. I had to repeatedly try to wave someone down to ask where my food was. My food was brought to the table so late my boyfriends food was already cold. I didn't even bother to eat it, I took it home....and I'm not sure if I will ever eat it after what we went through. The manager did come over to let us know that the menu online is only the Foresthill location and apologize for the confusion. She brought her cell phone over to show me that it was only the Forsthill location, and took her phone to show her it says Perry Hall. She said she was calling the website to have them correct it and gave us a gift card to use at the other location. When we left the restaurant, we saw a sign on the front door stating that its the same menu as the other 2 locations AND there is Dim Sum from 11-3 everyday. Lies, Lies, Lies!!!! This was a complete bait and switch. I will NEVER set foot in the restaurant every again. If you like Americanized Chinese carryout, have at it. If you are actually looking for Dim Sum or actual Chinese food, just keep looking.... read more

It was my first time here with 2 other friends, and it was great, well we only got sushi and ice cream. They give the wonton strips and sweet & sour sauce as a starting appetizer for free(not pictured). We tried the Ninja roll(out), Pikachu roll(middle), and Samurai roll(in) - all were really good, the ninja roll was our favorite. The presentation and service were very very nice, as you can see. Although, I'm giving this experience 4 stars because I felt that the green tea mochi ice cream was a little overpriced at $3.95 for an order(2 pieces each). BUT then again, you could really taste the deep flavor of the matcha in the ice cream, so I guess it was worth the try. read more

I came here because my friend RAVED about it. I have no idea why. The place was packed when we came in for dinner so we waited a few minutes. This place was SO loud, probably because everyone was tipsy since its BYOB. We were seated and we ordered, apparently the Chinese food is a "must have", so I ordered some orange chicken. I don't remember what my friend ordered. When I tasted the food I felt like I was eating Chinese carry out. This place IS NOT worth it. If I wanted carry out Chinese I would've stayed at home in my PJs and ordered it. The only thing good about this place is the decor. Fantastic sushi place. The food never disappoints. My favorite sushi rolls to get are the MD Sea King Roll and Volcano Roll. Chinese food wise - I love getting the Chicken and Broccoli and the Crabmeat Wontons. I come to this place so much for carry out or sit down that the hostess recognizes me which is definitely a good thing, but a sign that I come here way too often! :) If you want a private dining area for a party, there are 2 rooms just for that. The place is BYOB so be sure to go to Honeygo Wine and Spirits a few stores over if you want a little extra to go with your meal. The restaurant has wine openers, ice bucket and wine glasses for your convenience. The last few times I was here, I was pleasantly pleased to see a gluten free menu, but as with most eating out options, please note that some aren't as "healthy" as you would think, but at least that option is there! read more

I was a fan of Chopsticks when they first opened about five years ago. Before the surrounding community of overpriced new condos and townhomes were finished. I used to hit the gong on the way out to signify my pleasure with the overall dining experience. I am not sure if they changed ownership or management or both but it went drastically down hill from there with both food quality and value inferior to the other neighborhood chinese/sushi establishments. The sushi was never really the hit here anyway, your sushi dollar is much better spent at The Orient, mere minutes away. Some of the rank and file dishes are comparable in quality but over priced making Chopstix a poor choice on any leve. read more

YUMMY! One of the best volcano rolls I've ever had. This place is super awesome in terms of options, service, and generosity in portions. I was visiting my cousin and we decided to come here after she raved about it. I was impressed by their menu which offered not only sushi and other Japanese fare, but also included other common Chinese dishes which is great if you're in the mood for Asian food in general. In addition, they had lunch and sushi lunch specials as well which were served on the weekends too, so that was a plus! They first bring you out some crispy wontons and what tasted like duck sauce. It was yummy, but I wish you had the option between that and edamame as I would have preferred that. Next, I got the sushi lunch special of beef teriyaki and tuna roll, my cousin got the beef and broccoli, and then we decided to split the volcano roll. A salad and some miso soup came out first and both were delicious! The miso soup actually had a generous amount of tofu and flavor (not like 2-3 big cubes as some other places do). Next, the volcano roll came out with some yum yum sauce that was on fire (REALLY; like a REAL FLAME on fire) which was pretty cool. Caution to others as I wouldn't have known this was happening until my cousin told me as you can't see the flame right away... so be careful! Anyways, once the sauce simmered down, I dipped one of those yummy rolls in there and it was absolutely delicious. The rolls were huge too and it was perfect between two people to share. Thereafter, my sushi special came out and there were 6 tuna rolls, a salad, rice, and my beef teriyaki all arranged neatly on a platter. The salad was delicious with a ginger dressing, the tuna rolls were also yummy, the rice was a plenty and everything was big in portion size... and my teriyaki had tons of veggies underneath it like broccoli and carrots and some sauce. The teriyaki lacked a bit of flavor, but it might have been my fault for not mixing it up with the sauce underneath it with all the veggies. It's nothing that some extra sauce can't fix. In summary, it was definitely yummy and if I lived in the area, I can see myself coming here often. Awesome food. I'll be back! read more
