LOVED my first experience here today. Fast, friendly, and efficient service. The food was delicious and handmade. Was not expecting the extra service of mixing the salad for me - that was really great. Also, in the service industry, you here lots of managers yelling at their employees, not here. I have only gotten takeout from this place via Uber Eats twice so this review is specific to the food and the takeout experience. Both times I ordered the special instructions were not followed (at all). Missing items on both orders, and the second time they used chicken instead of falafel (would've been inedible if I were a vegetarian). The food is a 5 but the service/follow through is a 3 thus the 4 star review. COVID sucks but you've gotten pay special attention to takeout orders... step it up Chopt on Piedmont! I am a big fan of Chopt. Sunday evening was my first visit to this location. I was very surprised to find the door locked 13 minutes before closing. Luckily someone in line opened the door for me to let me in. I received a few unhappy looks from the employees. There was a line of about 6 people in front of me. My daughter and I got in line. The line moved at a normal pace. As expected they were out of a few items, but the employee offered alternatives based on my salad order. I really enjoyed my salad so her suggestions were great. Chopt has consistent quality food. Overall the service was good besides the locked door and looks from staff. read more

It was finally time to see what the hype was all about and check out Chopt. Not new to ATL but the location at our neighborhood strip mall Ansley is only a few months old. They couldn't have picked a better location to open a salad restaurant. Very popular hangout to meet up with friends. Popular gym and one of the most popular Starbucks in ATL. I had the Classic Cobb Salad. It's an order at the counter operation. They start with a bed of lettuce and put your other ingredients in the middle then topped by more lettuce. I paid and then was asked to step to the chopping station. There I confirmed my dressing, regular or extra. My salad was then chopped as I watched. I was trying to have the Chopt experience without doing anything extra or special but I do love onions in my salad so I asked to pay extra for those. I'm glad I was watching because the onions were pickled red onions, I was able to stop her just in time too. The only other option is scallions and I opted for those. I would have also liked to have had cucumbers and they even have English cucumbers which would have been great but I was already close to $12 for this salad. My first thought was there's not much salad in that bowl but in reality two people could have ate that salad and been satisfied. I grabbed one of the paper bowls from the drink station and used it to actually eat my salad from. I was quit impressed with how much I liked it. Even with just their standard items. Looking at the menu now I see it was suppose to have blue cheese in it but I never saw her put it in nor did I see any as I was eating it. The grape tomato's were hollowed out by the chopping. Per the pic the eggs and avocado were whole but mine were included in the chop. I do like the concept of a chopped salad and I'm sure to go back and try some more options. Parking can be interesting at Ansley Mall depending on when you are there. It's a popular destination. read more

I ordered a wrap for lunch. The shrimp tasted like it was not cleaned properly cold and under cooked. The chickpeas were hard and the lettuce tasted gritty. I was up charged for avocado which I never received. I paid $33.00 for horrible food. I do not recommend that any one order the wraps from here. read more

This review is strictly off CUSTOMER SERVICE and not the food. I went to Chopt at 4:40pm today because I noticed they had signs on their door that they were OPEN. However, I waited at the barricade where they were supposed to be taking orders for 5-7 minutes WITH NO ONE TO TAKE MY ORDER. I even looked one of the employees dead in her fave and she continued to head to the back! I was like ... well maybe she is a dishwasher or something. How about the one lady that was making salads .... didn't even come to me or let me know she was on her way. That's when I said.... "oh they got me f'd up!". Word of advice- have employees who WANT to come to work ... otherwise let them stay home. I swiped my purchase this evening, the only use my card within days, and the card was compromised within the hour. Do not swipe your card it will be compromised. I was so excited when Chopt came closer to my side of town. I've been there twice and the second time wasn't a good experience. My first time- I ordered the Sante Fe salad and got the dressing that comes with it. Woooahh spicy much. The line was pretty busy and it is kinda hectic. Even the manager had to tell the staff to slow down and take their time. But the guy who did my bowl was pretty good. Not only was he doing my ordered but 2 other people at the same time. Props to him. The second time- I ordered the Mexican Cesar. Again my dressing was pretty spicy but it wasn't to bad. But this time- I got food poison. I was super sick after eating this and I haven't been back to this place yet. Scarred me. I do like Chopt and that's what the 3 stars are for. However, I got food poison and I haven't been back since. But you def get your monies worth and it's a nice size salad. Tried this place for the first time. No repeat visit. The salad itself was a nice size salad and was very tasty, so that is the ultimate goal. However, wow, management has a real opportunity to bring service back. Obviously, training is not a priority here. All four teenagers behind the counter said nothing to me even though I was standing at the glass case ready to order. One of the them was cleaning the vegetable area and still said nothing. Then, she stopped, looked at me and waited, saying nothing. I had to ask her, are you helping me? I didn't know! She nodded!!! WTH?? Speak up!!! Talk to me. Don't roll your eyes. Then, she whispers something to the other teen, texting of course, he laughed and looked at me. WTH?? Really? Kids may not be learning social rules at home but the management has a golden opportunity to teach them how to talk to the public, serve the public and respect the public. Think it's not possible? I am far from a review writer, but I could not let this go! I just visited today and had a very disheartening experience. I wasn't even acknowledged until I said "Hello" and the store was completely empty!! Ofcourse, when the next person walked in it was "Hi, Welcome in". All the way up to checking out, which they just placed my food on the counter and said nothing. I was actually excited to have it again as I hadn't since trying it at another location, when i first moved here. Safe to say, I will never go back to this place. This was really good! I got there just in time to beat the lunch rush. I got the Tinga bowl without chicken and it was delish! Very flavorful. I was overwhelmed by the options, so I just picked this one and was not disappointed. They also have San Pel and it paired wonderfully with my bowl. They have bread too- I will be back! Terrible terrible service. The workers aren't familiar with the menu which leads to a lot of confusion. The woman in front of me was so frustrated that she had to entirely start over with a new salad. I wasn't told until I was at the checkout that items I picked out were "featured items," though not listed at all on the menu or mentioned to me by the workers. So I know their usual service and salad size. First of all, I only went to this location because the closer one was closed and Druid Hills location said they had to close early due to not having a manager who could work today and only had one staff member present. So I placed my order on the app at 5:18pm for a 6:00pm pickup. I arrived at 6:09 pm and had to wait until about 6:17 for them to arrive with my order (curbside). My Cobb salad was loaded down with the ranch dressing, although I asked for "regular" and the bowl was about 3/4 full. Believe it or not, I had about 4 or 5 chunks of chicken, one slice of avocado, and a scant amount of bacon. Why so stingy with the ingredients? I feel like I was cheated out of part of my salad that I actually paid for. The heavy amount of ranch made it hard to eat, especially since I didn't ask for extra. ***None of my three salads had bread that I asked to be added. Hopefully the other part of my order is okay. Not cool! Tadriana only took a portion of our order. Telling another team member to take our final salad order. Upon time for adding the dressing. No process was followed. Mass amounts of dressing were applied. The tops were removed and dressing was dumped into one bowl multiple times. I dread seeing what these salads taste like. Normally, we are asked... light, normal or heavy. We were only asked if we wanted dressing at all? I would of said something, but the situation felt very tense. I will not go back to this location. Note... I know the employees name because I asked another team member before leaving the store. Side note... we had to ask for bread and a bag. Five stars for this Ansley Mall location. My first visit to Chopt was tasty. Ordering your made-to-order salad can be intimidating your first go around. So many options! I asked for chicken, parmesan cheese, and croutons to go with romaine salad & at the end of my decision the employee replied "You could have just ordered a Romaine Caesar that is already on our menu". I have been waiting for this location to open for awhile, and finally got the chance to visit last week. I came on a weeknight and there was no line. Service was quick and the employees were all friendly, but seemed like they were still getting up to speed on the menu. The person helping me had to double check the ingredients for the salads we ordered (no big deal - better to check if you aren't sure!), and someone behind me in line asked for a salad recommendation and was told "whatever you want, they're all good" which is true but they clearly wanted an actual response. I got the Georgia Cobb destination salad and it is hands down the best thing I have ever had from Chopt!! Do yourself a favor and try it before it's gone. Yes, the salads aren't inexpensive but you definitely get what you pay for with a generous portion size and obviously fresh ingredients. I will definitely be returning (probably more often than my wallet would prefer)! read more

My girlfriend and me came in on there Grand Opening last Saturday and well loved it! We have definitely tried out another salad restaurant as you can see from my earlier reviews but this place stood out from the rest. Chopt is on a higher than Salad Works for these reasons: variety of salad bowl, salad mixes to choose from, options of items, selection of 20+ salad dressings, etc. you can't go wrong with any option you choose. I order a grain bowl and a wrap from uber eats and specifically asked for them to be heavy on the dressing. Which apparently meant NO dressing. I called Chopt to inform them i had no dressing in either order. They placed me on a brief hold and said since I received my food I won't get a refund from uber. (Wasn't looking for one) they said I should contact uber eats and place an order.... to get dressing... are you kidding me?! She then asked me if I wanted to come pick up the dressing. Maam... don't you think I would've picked up my food if I could instead of using uber eats?! Apparently getting a salad without salad dressing doesn't count as an incomplete order. She was rude. And TOLD ME there was dressing mixed in. I'm always in this area and I see Chopt. Today, January 16, 2020 at 2:30pm, I decided to try it out. I should've passed. I ordered the salad called Chinese Chicken . They put lettuce at the bottom, chicken, and then more veggies on top. So I'm eating the salad and then I get to the middle where the chicken is and noticed a pink color a rubbery texture. I show it to the two cahiers one Black and one Hispanic. They took a minutes to acknowledge me. Then the Black cashier looks me up and down and said, "Can I help you?" I explained my concern, she didn't even look at the chicken and said, "Oh, it's cooked." The Hispanic girl, who didn't look also, chimes in and says, "Yeah, it's cooked." This is my first time ordering from this chain. Love the concept. Ordered the classic cobb which is supposed to have grilled chicken. The produce and egg was fresh. The buttermilk ranch was a very tasty twist on a classic dressing. But where is the chicken?? What a disappointment that I eat through the entire bowl and find 2 cubes of chicken at the bottom. When I pay $10 for a salad that is to include grilled chicken, I expect there to be chicken. Being in midtown where there is not a huge selection of places to walk to eat, I have to trust that what I'm ordering is what is advertised. Food is great and they normally don't mess up (although they're not apologetic when they do) but the staff will fully ignore customers picking up and don't start making your order til you ask where it is.
