Marinated kale, eggs, cucumbers, beets, grilled chicken, and wonton strips. The dressing is smoky bacon Russian with red chile ranch.

I love Chop't!! The food is delicious and the marinated kale is delicious. The staff are friendly and always take the time out to greet you and make conversation with you. The portions are just tight. Angel is always friendly and takes time out to chat. They play nice music and makes it a nice environment to visit. Thank you!!

    Summer Corn Caesar Salad

The salad was good but could have had more flavor! It felt like it was missing something but it was still good nonetheless! I got the summer cob corn salad. I used the app to order before hand and it was super helpful because it was ready when I got there! The only feedback I have is that I wish they put your order and utensils in a bag for you instead of having a station for you to do it yourself esp if you are in a rush and just coming in to pick up something really quickly. The place had fast casual with plenty of seating!

I have had some busy work weeks these days and Chopt is always there to save the day! I am seriously loving the curbside pickup option, it makes things super easy considering my husband and I usually are not in agreement on where to pick up dinner. Anyway, you really can't go wrong with Chopt! My go to is the Santa Fe and it is delightful every time.

This salad was incredible The spicy Sonoma is a MUST GET ITEM. The combination of spice, flavor, texture was out of this world. The portion was huge I couldn't finish the whole thing, yet we'll worth the price. Make sure to ask for an extra dressing on the side. I got the lemon tahini to dip the bread in and it was amazing. Couldn't be happier with the portion, price and experience. I'll definitely be back

This was my first time at a Chopt location. I like the variety of options it has for salads. If you haven't been here before, think of Chipotle but with salads. I ordered the Chinese Chicken Bowl and it was absolutely delicious! I can't wait to come back and try more options!

(Really, when I checked in on Swarm, it had been 13 years since my last visit. Now we're going every month or so.) While I noticed some updating--there's more wood paneling, and the menu is sleeker, for lack of a better word--the restaurant still has a warm, friendly vibe with sunflower imagery throughout. The menu is a twist on Asian food, with plenty of analogues, chunks of soy and/or wheat protein, and some vegetables. It's not all vegan--a few dishes have dairy and/or honey, and I suspect one of the noodle dishes uses egg noodles--but those items are clearly marked. We were last there on Thanksgiving and tried a few new things. The veggie kabob reminded me a bit of the kabob at the late, lamented Harmony Cafe in Georgetown. Sure, I'll get that again. I'm not so sure about the mushroom dish. I do love mushrooms, but perhaps this isn't the way to go about it. On prior visits, we've gone with old familiars. The fried "chicken" appetizer (chunks of soy protein and mushrooms fried and served with a spicy ketchup) are a classic. I am still trying to find my go-to entree. Maybe the Crispy Happiness (chunks of soy protein and shredded vegetables cooked mild)? It's a bit far from DC, but it is worth the trip.

The seating inside is pretty spacious, for a Wednesday night it wasn't too crowded so we were able to get a table relatively easily. This time I went with my vegetarian friend and I think it might have become her new favorite spot. First thing she said when I came in was "there's so many options" when usually it's what can I eat? With a full vegetarian menu, it's a great spot for those who like an Asian cuisine but suffer from the oh it's not vegetarian. Luckily the whole menu is vegetarian. The waiter/server also said they are doing great and planning on opening a second location in Chantilly soon! We ordered the vegan clam dip, shaky beef, and the fish (vegan) soup. Delicious food all around, I always prefer the clam dip and shaky beef. Really good flavors and a great combination. We definitely ordered too much food, so I would say if it's just two, two dishes is enough. Shaky beef was a little different this time around but still good flavor and you can taste that it's vegetarian or some other meat, but it's pretty darn close to beef. The flavors in the sauce and other bell peppers and onions elevate the flavor profile. The fish soup was a new dish, and definitely had a fish flavor but was a little overpowered by the tomatoe. I probably wouldn't go with that one again, but the others were still amazing.

I stepped outside…read moreof my comfort zone and tried several things I wouldn't normally order, and I loved every single bite. The Caesar salad was incredible so much so that I genuinely think they should bottle and sell that dressing in stores. And the raspberry cheesecake? It absolutely gave me life. It was rich, creamy, and so delicious that I'm still thinking about it. For our entrées, we ordered the Hawaiian pizza, spicy rigatoni, and spaghetti carbonara. While everything was good, the pizza and the rigatoni were my clear favorites. I also tried their sushi and was pleasantly surprised by how much it resembled traditional sushi in both texture and flavor. It was a fun and delicious experience. What impressed me most was the quality and creativity of the menu. There's truly something for everyone, whether you're vegan or not. The restaurant itself feels bright, airy, and inviting. It's the kind of place where you can easily gather with friends, family, or even enjoy a date night. The service was excellent, and our server was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu. PLANTA has definitely changed my perception of vegan dining.

Although my husband and I are omnivores we appreciate good plant based food, and since many had said it was good, we had high hopes. Fortunately, Planta lived up to our expectations. We made reservations, since we'd heard it can be hard to get a table. Even though it was a Friday night, we could have gotten a table. But, it was also raining so that might have contributed to lower traffic. We ended up getting a bunch of food to share: Spinach & artichoke dip Bang Bang Broccoli Thousand layer potatoes Spicy Tuna Roll Volcano Roll Red Dragon Roll Unagi Nigiri (I didn't try this one, but everyone else raved about it) My husband had the Emperor's Old Fashioned, friends had the Lych Please and the Pom and Get It. I, as designated driver, had a Cosmic Colada followed by the House Mint Lemonade (and I had a sip of the Lych Please just to taste it.) My favorites were the Bang Bang Broccoli, the Spicy Tuna Roll, and to my surprise, the Thousand Layer Potatoes. I also loved the House Mint Lemonade. The broccoli managed to not actually taste like broccoli, it tasted like Fried with Peanut Sauce. (No, there is not a missing word there. It tasted like Fried.) I usually don't get excited about potatoes unless they are twice baked or the amazing potato salad from Polka deli, but these potatoes were actually really good. Sliced, layered, not exactly crispy except on the edges, but super tasty much to my surprise. I'd actually order them again. The Spicy Tuna Roll tasted nothing like tuna, nor did it taste like watermelon per se but it was delicious. The notes of coconut probably played a role in my assessment. Folks in general were less enamored of the Volcano roll than the other dishes and I concurred. It wasn't bad, it just was lackluster compared to the others. It tasted kind of like a salad dressed with a lack of oomph. While I personally liked the spinach & artichoke dip, the folks in the party who aren't coconut-o-philes thought it had too much of a coconut taste. I've never met a coconut I didn't like though so this didn't bother me. I would order the Lych Please if I weren't driving, it was good - sweet but not too sweet. The Cosmic Colada wasn't bad but I probably wouldn't order it again either. It had less of the coconut flavor than I hoped for and a lot more just "juice" flavor. If I'm not driving next time I'll just suck down the house mint lemonades instead. All in all, it was good. I'd definitely come back and order some of these items again and hopefully try some others. I absolutely will bring my close vegan friend here next time she's in town!

As we were walking back towards our hotel, we actually were passing here so I chose it for our din din spot. I thought for sure it was going to be packed but luckily it was not. I knew I wanted a burger but was struggling with choosing which one. Hubs knew he wanted the Cheesesteak and knew I wanted fries. I went with the Smokehouse burger. We grabbed a seat and did not wait long for our food to come out. I really enjoyed my burger and scarfed it down! I paid for sauces, which were tiny and super overpriced. Hubs enjoyed his cheesesteak but he prefers meat. I had a bite and thought it was really flavorful and very closely tasting like the real thing. I noticed later this is a chain, which is pretty cool. I think the prices were pretty steep so I might skip on the fries next time. The food could have been warmer as well. Definitely worth a visit and will most likely be back when in DC again.
