Delivery review ahead…read more I was craving a really good breakfast sandwich and this place delivered just that! When I talk about quality sandwiches, Semicolon cafe wins! The packaging was handled with care so both of my sandwiches arrived nice and hot. I ordered the B.E.L.T and a grilled cheese. The B.E.L.T was a conversation starter, the bread was buttery and smooth-melts right in your mouth after each bite. The egg with corn, never tried that combo but honey, it was fantastic!!!! The bacon was quite generous and prepared with the perfect crisp and the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh, complementing the sandwich. The sauce on top was a shining star! So much flavor spread evenly throughout the sandwich. My boyfriend loved his grilled cheese sandwich which came with bacon and spinach. Definitely glad that I found this place! I'll order again and this time I want to try their lattes.

Their Korean style sandwiches on that soft, fluffy bread are amazing. Highly recommend the bulgogi and the BLT, both packed with flavor and generously stuffed. The presentation is adorable too, served in these cute little boxes that make it feel extra special. The space itself has a really cute, modern aesthetic. Clean white tones, nice lighting, and a cozy chic vibe. It's the perfect spot to hang out with friends or get some work done. Will definitely be back again!

We popped in and took a while to read the menu options. I landed on a giant Italian Combo, a beer, side of fries, and a tiramisu. Everything was amazing. After grubbing we listened to Capo by NLE to top it off

I ordered a sandwich and wanted to make it a combo but they only do it with fries, no chips. For most, thats an awesome deal - I just personally wanted chips. They have the fancier drinks and not your typical soda options so keep this in mind. My roasted turkey sandwich was $14.95 to start, and toppings like pepper relish cost extra (I feel like a spread should not be half a dollar but sure). Meat quality was good and bread felt fresh but just a little hard to chew. For basically 16$, there was only two thin slices of provolone. Compared to some of the photos I saw, the sandwich was a bit lacking on the toppings of meat/cheese. People super friendly and service was quick. They had tons of desserts, pasta salad, and a few actual pasta dishes on the menu too. I'll have to come in to give them a try for a cheesesteak or the caesar salad wrap next.

I don't eat lobster (I know, I know) so I ordered the Shrimp Mac & Cheese, which I believe is a limited-time menu item. It was basically a bowl of Mac & cheese topped with shrimp (which I was happy to see vs the shrimp being pre-mixed in). The shrimp were seasoned, maybe a tad rubbery but I prefer that to being undercooked. Tasty Mac & cheese. My companions enjoyed their lobster rolls. Friendly service, clean restaurant.

When I went to eat my sandwich a piece of lobster fell out, so I ate it first. I did not like the taste of the mayo. On the marquee with the recipes for the rolls, it mentions light mayo. Maybe they are actually using low cal mayo. I noticed on the website it does not say light mayo. When I asked about the mayo, the young man did not know what kind of mayo was being used. (They also did not know if the shrimp, also offered, was farmed or wild. Generally, if staff doesn't know that means it's farmed shrimp-- if using wild shrimp it's usually well advertised.) While eating the lobster roll itself, the mayo wasn't as noticeable and the lobster meat was just delicious. Didn't taste frozen or old. The roll was very yummy. My only other issue is that of the Coca-Cola soda drink. I rarely drink sodas so it was a real treat. It looks like the soda to syrup mix was off. The atmosphere is as you would expect. Very clean. No issues there. The outdoor seating was nice as it was a beautiful day. Nonetheless, I will definitely be going back. The staff could not have been more friendly. We went on a Saturday in August so that may be why it was easy to park right in front. I'm not sure how easy it's going to be to park if we have to go into the parking garages. The store does validate; I can't remember for how many hours. This whole area is not quite up and running yet. It seems to be a bit slow, which is normal.

Jersey Mike's is my favorite sandwich chain, and the Falls Church location on W. Broad Street is my…read morego-to. That's exactly why I'm taking the time to write this. I placed an online order on the evening of 4/21 for my usual -- a Giant #3 with extra meat -- and arrived a few minutes early, which gave me a clear view of the whole process. What I saw was disappointing. The bread was cut incorrectly -- not lengthwise down the center but more like one-third on the bottom and two-thirds on top. That kind of cut doesn't hold up, and by the time the oil was added, the thin bottom half was already soggy. I also don't believe I received the extra meat I paid for. The toppings were applied carelessly -- lettuce scattered across the counter, and the oil and vinegar were poured so haphazardly that the wrapping paper was soaked through before they even got to cutting the sandwich. I'm not writing this to be harsh. I'm writing it because I've always admired this location and would hate to see it slip into the kind of mediocrity that has hurt other spots in the chain. It was clear to anyone watching that neither of these two employees had much investment in the product they were putting in front of the customer. I hope management takes note -- this place is worth caring about.

I paid at the register and went to get a drink from the fountain. When I turned around, I didn't see my sandwich. I waited a few seconds then asked where my sandwich was. The lady who rang me up looked around cluelessly, like some sort of magic trick was performed. The guy whose only job was to wrap sandwiches said nothing with a weird smile on his face. The guy who made my sandwich, I know he made it, I saw him do it... was confused because he certainly handed off the sandwich down the line. I could barely understand the cashier say they'd make me another one. How does a sandwich just vanish? Coulda been them putting my sandwich in one of the to-go bags, coulda been a random overzealous customer, but it was literally seconds, and it was gone. Anyway. Sandwich: This is the worst experience I've had with this chain, so location makes a difference. Now that I am thinking about it, I may have gone here once before and wondered what the hype was all about... having had it in Maine, it's a world of difference. Tasted like older product, and bummed that it was way below par here. Wanted something quick, easy, and familiar, but there are many other lunch options around.

Delivery review ahead!…read more I have not yet visited this place in person so I'm unsure how it is inside and how the service is. Delivery: well packaged for a long trip to DC and it remained fresh and hot. Food: Sweet potato tater tots El Lomo Saltado Both of these selections were AMAZING! The sweet potato tater tots were genius! Perfectly prepared, packing flavor in each bite. The El Lomo Saltado was DIVINE! Allow me to break down the flavors: Biscuit: gosh this biscuit was buttery and soft. And yes, the juices from the steak did not make it soggy. But back to the biscuit...the top was flaky and the inside was soft! Soft and buttery. Egg: I asked for a well done fried egg (the main dish contains over easy) the egg was perfectly cooked and delicious. Steak: the steak pieces were generous and the seasoning on the meat...dangerous! There was a slice of provolone cheese melted on the egg and the sandwich also contained pieces of potatoes and tomatoes inside. All of the flavors in this biscuit meshed together so well, making this a reallllllllllllllly good sandwich. Now I'm sold! What other fun dishes can I try on their menu?!

The surprise star of the meal was the tater tots. They were genuinely divine: crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and dangerously addictive. Every bite was satisfying. The food feels thoughtful and well-executed, the kind of place you keep thinking about after you leave. Definitely worth a visit, and I can't wait to come back and try more! The service was down to earth and the shop is quaint. You might need to wait for a seat to open, but it moves quickly!

In fact, the only times I've ever had issues with the taste of my drink have been when someone else made it. Whenever I see that he's working, I know my order is going to be exactly how I like it. That's the level of consistency and quality he brings every time. Great customer service is one thing, but consistently making drinks this good is a skill. This barista is a huge asset to the business, and honestly, he deserves a raise. Employees who make customers want to come back again and again are hard to find, and he's definitely one of them. The seasonal Donuts and the Croissant Tarts keep me coming back! Best Donuts - Pumpkin Pie Donut, Tiramisu Donut, Key Lilme Pie, Boston Cream, and Hot Cocoa Nutella donut. The Strawberry and Raspberry have a Jelly/Jam filling. I wasn't a big fan of the Cookie Butter Donut, Cannoli donut, or the Dot Cake Donut. The Cookie Butter donut tasted like creamy peanut butter while the Cannoli donut that didn't have the sweet creamy filling that I was hoping for and the Funfetti frosting was a bit off on the Dot Cake Donut (super fun to see all the dot sprinkles on top!). Croissant Tarts - Both the sweet and savory tarts deliver! The Raspberry Cream Cheese Tart, Red Pepper Feta Tart, Apple Tart, and Everything Tart are all delicious! The classic Garlic Spinach Tart and Shroom Tart are fine. Best Croissants - Christmas Tree Raspberry Croissant, Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse Croissant, Apple Butter Crumble Croissant, Almond Croissant, and Matcha Croissant. The Berry Brioche Tart was fun to try, but not my favorite. The cookies are pretty light and fluffy, the Lemon Cheesecake Cookie tasted like a lemon sugar cookie with no filling. For Valentine's Day, the Linzer sugar cookie filled with raspberry jam was delicious! So glad I grabbed the last one by 11am on Saturday! For Mother's Day, there were colorful macaroons. All of the fillings with the donuts and croissants are whipped and pretty light. There's a parking garage next door and you can get parking validated for 1 hour. While there's plenty of seating inside, it can get packed over the weekends. There's no outdoor seating (there's some makeshift seating around the high-rise building). Great local bakery with a lot of baked goodies to choose from!
