Really tired of this place getting my order wrong. I do enjoy the salads but the inconsistency is incredible. Tastes different every time. Ask for dressing in the side and they forget to put it the bag 9/10 times. Order a warm bowl and they give you a salad instead. And if you order at night they never have bread. Tawana is the absolute best! Ordered a fried chicken salad tonight didn't come with any chicken, asked for no celery and got celery, asked for romaine got mix greens, asked for the dressing to be mixed in and it comes on the side. I've been a few times. This place is good. There are a ton of selections to choose from and everything is generally very good. The grilled chicken is a little dry but they have other chicken options like chicken tinga that is much better. The spicy peppers are awesome and make any salad better. The dressings I've tried have all been good and there are ALOT to choose from . My favorites so far are the chili cashew, sriracha tzatziki, and Dijon. The whole chopping process slows things down a bit but being new they are handling it ok. One suggestion I'd make is to chop allergy guests salads at a special station that is ready to go, maybe in the kitchen. Twice I've been behind someone with allergies and they asked for a clean chopper. It was about a 5 minute process to go in the back, get the clean bowls and chopper, clean the station etc etc. Other than that I've been pretty happy with the food. The app is great for ordering ahead, it allows you to make substitutions, build your own salad etc with ease. I have been to the one in Florham Park before but the service is so slow there I don't go back. This is a welcome addition to the neighborhood! read more

I have adopted this Chopt after moving to New Providence during the Pandemic. When I discovered that there was a Chopt 2 minutes from my new home, I almost died of happiness as I have never found a Chopt in NJ (I have been eating at Manhattan Chopts for 8 years). Everyone here is SO FRIENDLY and they know me when I walk in which is a really nice feeling. They customize my salad and every request - like less cheese and more mama's lil peppers and extra dressing - better than any NYC Chopt ever did. This is the best thing about working from home! HUGE shout out to Rafael and LaShaun!!!! They even sell me bottles of Mexican Caesar which makes me REALLY happy. I am addicted...but that's ok. :) read more

Came with a friend for dinner around 8pm on a weeknight. This place is similar to the make your own salad places in the tri-state area, but has ample seating! I like the clean and crisp feel of this specific location too. The salads here are pretty well portioned in that the bowl is filled to the brim. I ended up making my own salad and adding the Mexicans Caesar dressing. The salad + a bottled beverage was ~$18 .. definitely over-expensive and I didn't even get any meat. I also didn't like that the Mexican Caesar dressing was spicy, this was not indicated anywhere in the menu. However when I asked an employee for Caesar dressing because the Mexican Caesar was too spicy, she gladly accommodated my request and mixed my salad with regular Caesar. Not sure I would come back just for a salad but would definitely contemplate it. read more

They do not follow instructions. I ordered my $16 salad which was santa fe through door dash and they forgot the avocado. I asked to substitute tomatoes for black beans but they could not do that. There was also lack of cheese. This was one of the worst salads that I had. They told me that I had to deal with door dash to fix the problems. read more

Really friendly staff and wonderful salads! I really like create your own bowls, especially my friend's loaded Caesar salad (quinoa, parm, avocado, bacon, chicken, tomato, romaine, and creamy caesar dressing). I like how you can pick the amount of dressing and the cool salad tossing. I also enjoy the warm Korean bbq bowl and often substitute sweet potatoes because I'm not big on spicy peppers. Tomato soup is awesome, a bit pizza esq flavor which is great with their bread. They always have interesting drinks; I am fond of the hibiscus fruit tea. read more

Love them, usually great, but this time I'm irritated, which anyone would be if they spend over $30 in salads and something ends up being wrong and an employee refuses to believe you. I called saying I had no chicken in my salad and the lady said she made all 3 of my salads and that she knows she put chicken in it. Offered to send her a picture because she didn't seem to believe me and she offered a refund of $1.99 for the chicken, I could've taken it, but I was being stubborn and was annoyed and there's also worse things going on in the world so I just hung up. I was in the strip mall for something else and decided a salad for lunch would be nice. I walked in and was told I needed to place my order by phone. I explained my phone was dead and I asked them to take my order in person. They said no because they had to enter my credit card info. I offered to hand them my card or call out the number to them. Again she refused and walked away. I understand there's a pandemic. But this is the only restaurant I've been to that allows you in the doors, but refuses to take a verbal order and is then dismissive to the customer. If the customer service is that bad when trying to place an order, I'm glad I didn't buy anything and then have an issue! I guess business must be booming that they can have this attitude towards customers and sales. They obviously don't need MY money. Luckily Smash Burger next door makes a good salad for less money and cares about their customers. read more

Super clean place, food looked very fresh and they have several interesting salads and bowls on the menu. I had the Harvest Bowl, it's was good but not too flavorful. I love this place!!!! I drive a distance to pick up salads from here and yes, I normally buy two at a time. Most of the employees are friendly and I am happy when I see Raphael (I just asked his name today). At times the team is very busy with the online orders and not enough of them are available for the walk-ins. He had finished the order he was doing and after waiting for someone to wait on me, I asked him was he finished and he said yes, I'll help you. Came in at 8:30 tonight. Maybe it was too late for the girl at the counter. She wasn't rude, just extremely curt and unfriendly. I ordered the Mediterranean Salad and was told they ran out of warm roasted chicken. So I asked her what I could have instead. She offered Tinga Chicken and I tasted it. Tinga chicken which is served in a Mexican Salad is not going to be good in a Mediterranean Salad so I looked at all the ingredients on display and asked if I could have grilled chicken instead, which was right there. Never have I been a salad guy. My daughter had us try it and since then I've gone back weekly. Just the right amount of meat in with the salad. Orderly staff, not overdone-- over-sophisticated. This weekend I tried a different salad place, Cava. Fatty meat, awful falafel, all overdone, a real garbage salad, mostly a consequence of the build/selection process, managed by weakly trained barely competent staff. Never again. I am frequent customer at this Chopt and almost always order the Santa Fey salad. Today I ordered the salad and received the normal respectful service. However, when I opened my salad container, I noticed there was no avocado in the salad which is the first ingredient in the Santa Fey. As I am paying extra for this ingredient, I am extremely displeased with paying for a food I did not receive. I also asked for medium dressing but received light after asking for more. I informed the employee at the register about the lack of avocado but they were unhelpful. I am very disappointed in this occurrence as I come to chopt often. read more

First things first, they don't close at 9:30 or 10 they close at 9. And if you are thinking about going at that time - don't. They have attitudes about customers there at that time and are out of everything you want. We ordered three salads, it was 8:42 and we were getting them to go. We asked for warm chicken and two different dressings and were told they had none of what we wanted. Just didn't appreciate the attitude and being told "you know we close at 9." Just stopped by for a healthy lunch option and I'm glad I did. Friendly staff with a ton of healthy options. Various leafy greens, veggies, grass fed beef, pasture raised chicken, organic tofu, fresh falafel, amazing cheese options, various nuts and seeds, everything to customize your salad. They chop up the salad for you and you have the option to add salt and/or pepper, include dressing or put it on the side. The beef was actually fresh, juicy and tender. The greens and veggies were fresh and crisp. It's hard to find healthy salads which aren't high in hidden sugars or overloaded with fat, but Chopt gives you control of what you want and need in your food. I'll be coming back for sure! read more
