I got the kale mix base, sweet potato, chicken thigh, pickled carrots, GF croutons, and cashew caesar on the side which I didn't even need because the flavors were so good! Clean, quiet environment with music playing but not absurdly loud. Only 1 other person dining when I ordered around 4:30 in afternoon on a Monday. The staff was very patient and even accommodating as I asked the one staff member to change her gloves prior to prepping my food (she had been handling wires etc before she walked over to start fixing the food). A new business in millburn that took over the old tinga space that serves the fast-casual need. Seems like they have a few other locations in nyc but this was my first time trying it out. They have a pretty large indoor seating area, however it was pretty quiet when I went in as it was a weekday and I ordered take out. I got the grandmas chicken and rice ($15) which was good but felt like it was missing something. The immunity broth ($9 for medium cup) was good as well but I could've definitely used stronger ginger flavor. To note that this is broth and not soup, so it's only liquid. It came in a coffee cup wrapped to prevent spilling. Wasn't too salty either which I get worried about with broths. Service was good as I was greeted right away when I walked in to pick up my order. Overall it's a good place with decent food, but not sure I would be a regular here as it's pretty expensive for what it is and is definitely nyc prices. read more

Overall given the state of fast casual Springbone is solid option. No gluten, no seed oils and clean protein, it's nice to not have to read the ingredients over 5 times to make sure it doesn't contain something. The broths are expensive but excellent IMO, and the bowls hold up well, the bone broth rice is very good. For anyone conscious of their food intake in regards to health, or for anyone avoiding gluten or any other item, definitely a go to that is reliable and very good read more

Seems the quality has gone down. I use to like this place but will not be back. Come again one time and they didn't have any of the stuff I wanted to order. Came back another time around 7:50 ( I understand they close at 8 and it was pushing for time but got all the way their after work for it to be closed. Then this last time I went I specifically asked for no cauliflower subsitute for greens. I got the salmon bowl which I was excited about as I enjoyed the salmon and most importantly the quinoa in it. I got home to realize they left the cauliflower and took out the quinoa and switched it for greens. The salmon was very flavorful and highly recommend. The portions for the base and toppings were very small for the price and compared to other build a bowl places. I love this place! I was stoked when I saw they opened up an NJ outpost. There's nothing better when you're sick or too lazy to cook but want something nourishing on every level. Their bone broths are so good they truly are sippable. Having a jar or two in the freezer is genuinely essential during cold and flu season (or in the midst of a never ending pandemic). I love the chicken bowls and making my own DIY soups with addins. The garlic broth is my favorite. read more

I've ordered form here 3x. The first time was solid but 2 &3 were poor experiences. First time they ran out of the burger bun and provided stale wheat bread to which they replaced the meal, cool. On the 3rd order the chia pudding was over a week old and spoiled, surprise! The avocado was in my veggie bowl was brown and over salted (I guess to mask the taste). Everyone makes mistakes however I'm not a fan of having to return to a store after getting home and preparing to eat twice. I've tried this place two times and have really enjoyed it! first time with the Mexican bowl, and second time with the grandma's chicken bowl (soo good). It's delicious, quality ingredients, and quick. Gorgeous interior as well. I actually appreciated a small change they made in the months between my first and last visit: they replaced the full brussel sprouts with shredded in one of the chicken bowls. It made it feel much more cohesive and I enjoyed it more than the whole sprouts. It also shows they evolve over time. After the second time my husband asked me why we don't order from here more often, to which I also expressed confusion. We'll definitely be adding this to our weekly takeout night rotation! I'd give this five stars if they had more offerings, particularly those that take advantage of the broths as soup. I think you can technically add any of the grain bowls (5 options) into broth as a soup but none of them sound like they'd be better as soup than a rice bowl. You can drink the broth as-is, as well as buy it frozen, but I'd love to see 1 or 2 soups that are specifically crafted with ingredients to highlight some of the broths. I am a soup gal, and right now when we're in the mood for soup there's not too many options nearby outside of ramen and lentil. read more

Love that there is now a fast casual option in the area serving high quality ingredients including 100% grass fed beef, and they do NOT use nasty seed oils which unfortunately is not the norm in the restaurant arena. I had the Mexican bowl, and my wife had the 100% grass fed Barbacoa bowl. Both were excellent. I also had to try a small cup of grass fed bone broth which was also delicious and will surely be a go to pick up whenever a family member is feeling under the weather. The shop itself was totally empty, but was nicely decorated and had plenty of seating. The menu has bone broth as well as actual food. I ordered the Grandma's chicken bowl and it was delicious. The store also sells a brand of Kombucha that I'd love to try. After I left the store with my lunch, I realized that I had a rather sizable piece of toast stuck to my face with almond butter, which explains why the staff in store looked at me but said very little. To Whom This May Concern: Saturday April 22nd, my sister and I were at work and she said ," We should order food" I said what should we get to eat? She was home from college of course as the big sister I always treat. She asked for Springbond Mexican bowl which we love and always order I said sure. She got my mom to drive her there because I was working , when she got back maybe 10 min later because I own a business only 5 min away. She said "Ewww" I said what happen she said the rice is grouse and crunchy it's all burnt I said are you sure let me see. I was so disappointed because I'm the one always raving about it she was like I can't eat this . I tried mine and literally was not edible so I said call there and let them know because this isn't the normal quality of food the sell. Immediately she contacted the store asked for the manager he apologized and stated he would refund the money to us. He asked for her name said he saw the ordered and remembered her said she paid cash he said no problem.He said it will be here for you I won't but you can pick it up after work. I felt like that was fair and I was still on board for being a customer because he acknowledged this issue apooogized was polite and offered a refund. However when we pulled up to the store after work and spoke to Jeremy Decius. He said he couldn't give a refund my sister was confused so she came to the car and got me. When I came in off the back he was rude, he was passive aggressive to the tenth power I was disgusted with not only his tone, but his manuerisim as well. He kept saying have a nice day ,have a nice day , being dismissive and rude cutting me off he wouldn't give us a refund. So I said can you contact the person who said he would leave the refund for her. He stated he was the manager and had no idea who was working before him. I'm like I come here often and it's never that many people working here that you should know the staff especially as a manager. He says "Nope" I don't know who works here which I knew as a complete lie. He proceeded to tell me even if my story could be confirmed and he called him that he still couldn't issue a refund I'm like how when he already confirmed her order etc we simply did what he told us to do. So I stated I would just like my refund and to be done with it for me it wasn't about the money but about he fact that that's what was told to us. It was the principal and as a business owner I stand on anything I say I also make sure my customers are always satisfied. He was like welp I can't do anything for you I said well I see I'll have to escalate this which is really sad because is not that serious it was never about the refund . To me at this point it was just about good business practices and keeping your word he goes on to say I can't find your order I can't give you a refund. He never looked for my sisters name which we told him that it was written down by the previous manager. He literally put zero effort into helping me and 100% effort into being combative and disrespectful. I'm going to be honest and say normally I would have lost it on someone like him but he really seems to have mental issues or really dislikes himself. He said I don't know what to tell you I can't help you I'm like so do you think I came here to make up a story about a refund lol. I have multiple successful businesses I run if it wasn't close to my job I probably would have just said whatever. Fast forward I said ok so what is it I need to get the refund we were already promise. At this point I just wanted to prove to him wrong because he acted as if I was lying which was crazy to me . He said a receipt so I went back to my job went int the garbage and got the receipt bring it back.
