Harlee's is a great neighborhood spot with a welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and consistently good food and drinks. It's one of our favorite places to grab a beer on the outdoor patio and catch up with friends. They have a nice selection of beers on tap, and the owner is a local NP resident, with the restaurant's name inspired by their dog, which adds a nice hometown touch. They also have a private party room where we hosted a holiday lunch for about 30 people. Everything was well organized, the service was attentive, and the event went smoothly. We've been back several times since, and every visit has been consistently enjoyable. Definitely a solid local restaurant and bar that's worth checking out. read more

I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, it was okay, but nothing that really stood out. My wife had the cheesesteak, and she said it was very good. Went here to sit outside as we had a pup with us. Outdoor seating was fine - very basic, but fine. (That said, the interior has zero ambience - a true sports bar.) Stopped here yesterday for lunch and got to chat with the owner Don. Sweet guy who runs a great business. Staff were very friendly and loved the dog wall! Clean inside and good amount of bar space and table seating. Nice size menu with good options. We ordered the fried calamari and they were perfectly thin sized rings with a yummy Asian chili sauce. We got the power salad which was very fresh and had a great dressing. Cold nights call for comfort food! Harlee's was a great spot to pick before seeing a show at nearby Papermill Playhouse (about 15-20 minutes from the theater). Harlee's has an amazing cocktail menu, and plenty of beer on tap which is great while you're watching a game at the bar. Their signature appetizers are a must have. The roasted brussel sprouts are caramelized and crispy and loaded with bacon. I loved their crispy chicken wings with sweet chili sauce, which hit the perfect sweet heat combo. The French onion soup was perfection, probably my favorite of the night, with rich savory broth that truly warmed up my cold January night. The ahi tuna bites were fresh, light, and zesty. And not something you see often at a gastropub! When I saw disco fries on the menu, you know this Jersey girl had to get some and let me tell you, they were everything I hoped for and more. We got the pioneer burger and the big bleu burger. They were charred beautifully yet still so juicy and tender. The onion rings they came with were delicious and crispy! The waffles with ice cream ended dinner on a sweet note, with ice cream from Zita's topped perfectly on the fluffy golden waffles. A great location for lunch with a wide range of choices for all. The portion sizes are huge, the service is terrific and service is welcoming. I wasn't a fan of the plastic table covers, hopefully they are wiped down thoroughly between people. My friend ordered one of their new specialty cocktails (the raspberry one) and was not a fan. She preferred the strawberry/basil cocktail. For apps we all shared the brussel sprouts (really good, but not healthy at all, maybe flash fried?), Tuna (unfortunately not a fan), peirogis (a bit oily and heavy). I've dined at Harlee's a few times already, and it's always great. It looks like it's a very popular restaurant, but we never have to wait to be seated or order. Staff is friendly and service is quick. Everything I've had here is perfectly seasoned and well cooked. The only dish I would critique is the Cauliflower Bites because I was expecting them to be deep fried with a light batter. I wish they were, but they were fine as is. Had a one man band playing a guitar, was so loaf i was screaming to the rest of my party to talk. And there was a total of 20 people in the joint. Order didnt come out as ordered for my sister and i. Our bartendar took a break and sat down at the end of the bar while our food came out wrong and didnt bother checking in for 15 mins. Waited another 15 mins to get another beer. So let me spell out to you where they all came from. * Atmosphere: Nice place inside, has some outside seating maybe I forget. We ate inside. A cute cafe on the long side so you do get some separation from other tables. Seems like owners had fun decorating. Feels modern - I like old school more, but 'tis what it is. No deductions * Staff: We were seated pretty quickly and we had a very nice waitress the whole time. She was honest about upcharging for a drink sub (coffee whiskey for vanilla vodka or something like that) and any questions we had... well let me say I had questions about dessert and she asked MULTIPLE people in back about what they thought! So given how willing she was to help us out, stopping by, refilling water without asking, always smiling... No deductions * Value: I saw photo of the ahi tuna app in the photos here. Waitress even said she'd have that as a meal. It honestly was a pretty good size for an app. My friend had a burger, and I'd say that came out on the more expensive side of things. Martinis also rather expensive - so let's call the restaurant "midgrade" in terms of you gotta pay a few extra bucks and I suppose that reflects back in the quality of atmosphere, food ingredients, etc. So maybe not QUITE 5 stars in the value department... * Food - entrees: Tuna was good but seared a bit beyond rare to about medium. So we're definitely down to 4 stars now, and maybe a bit below that... but the one thing that really caught my eye when I arrived was * Food - dessert: The menu's right there on the table. It's HUGE. Like 15 different desserts. Like a diner but a restaurant. So okay, I ordered the tuna app in order to have a light meal to save room for dessert. One problem. There was cookie dough marshmallow chocolate cake, and then there was blackout dark chocolate cake. Both of these sound fantastic. I decided that since I couldn't decide, I'd have the first one here at the restaurant and then maybe bring the second one home with me (where I have milk in my fridge) and try it out. Okay, two problems. The cookie dough cake IS SO UNBELIEVABLY FREAKING GOSHDARN DELICIOUS that I just stuck my face on the plate, growled my friend away from it, and proceeded to stuff my entire body with the cake slice and lick the plate clean. And then ordered a second slice and did the exact same thing. The creamy cookie dough and the dark chocolate and the frosting and the chips and the whipped cream and the marshmallows and I WANT TO BUY ENTIRE CAKES OF THIS AND EAT THEM THE REST OF MY LIFE IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER FOOD So in conclusion, 5 stars and I will be coming back for cake every couple of weeks for the rest of my life. read more

Had a nice evening at their outdoor dining area (got the last table). Although it was warm and sunny, the umbrella still blocked some of the sun and there was also a nice breeze. The host was very nice and had good energy. The menu has a lot of delicious items without being too much. There are also a good selection of draft craft beer and a long list of bottled selections. I ordered the blue cheese burger with onion rings. It had a nice char on it and came opened faced so that you can add your veggies as you please. The onion rings were good too. It here for people wanting a good time after work. There's tables for sitting and a bar for the people who want to sit near the drinks. Drinks: Bells two hearted ale was a good IPA that was smooth and light. Definitely a beer to have food with. Great beer. Wished there was a happy hour here. We had the ribs and the sauce tasted like they mixed 3lbs of crushed black pepper with 1/2 gallon of ketchup. Real nasty stuff. The kinda stuff nightmares are made of. The burgers were weak. covid 19 review -- I've been passing by this place for months, but never stopped in. We were really excited to see the outdoor dining was in full swing and decided to stop in for lunch. First and foremost, it is extremely clean and you will feel safe as ever table is very socially distant. The waiters are also very aware and keep their distance as well. I was disappointed because I really wanted to like this place. The fried pickles were good but very greasy. The fish & chips - I wouldn't order again. The fried potato chips had only a burnt flavor, I couldn't even taste potato, and the fish breading was definitely frozen. Shrimp and corn chowder barely had shrimp, maybe just some tiny pieces that may have been from a can. Chicken teriyaki dumplings were mushy. Even the French onion soup was just salty broth. I brought my staff there for a farewell party for one of our colleagues. There were around 14 of us and so it was clear we were going to be a big bill and giving them a lot of our money. I called a few days before to make sure they could accommodate our larger party so they were aware we were coming, Well, I was disappointed on many levels and would not come back or recommend to others! Our waitress was not friendly and often made it feel as if she was doing us a favor by serving us. She was not very attentive at all. We often had to look for her. They have a smaller back room that we were next to and since we had a large group I asked if we could possibly move into there so that we could mingle easier without being in a long rectangle table . She said "no" and that he boss was working back there but I peeked in and the room was empty (outside of a laptop and few pieces of paper). Well about 30 minutes later they started seating people on that room! And w the amount of tables we we could of filled the room so it's not like they would of lost money w seating. Then we get yelled at for being up and about too much and told we have to sit down! In the midst of it all I had asked for a pen to sign a card. Was given a generic pen and then the waiter hunted me down asking for her pen back. Overall we spent over $800 so clearly the waitress was going to get a good tip but it didn't matter.
