    Churro with Dulce De Leche
    Lori K.

We stopped for a light lunch and were the only customers. By the time we left. The dining room was filling up. The owner answered my questions and stepped us through the menu. We took a seat in the small dining room and within minutes complex aromas from our meal prep surrounded us. My belly started to rumble but within a short time our empanadas arrived. We decided on carne asada and pollo empanadas sharing both. Pollo was stuffed with peppers and onions. Very flavorful. The Carne be asada was only cubed beef. The flavor was fantastic but there were no vegetables. I purchased the Pico ( not the menu name) diced tomato onion oralegano red wine vinegar and oil. I ate the salsa with each empanada and thought it was fantastic and totally elevated the flavor of the empanada. I had read other reviews recommending the zuchinni. It did not disappoint! We love churos and had to order them here. These were unexpected. Maybe I'm used to mecican churos; fried dough, to covered in cinamon and sugar. As you can see in the photo- no cinamon or sugar sprinles (maybe the tiniest amount) House made dulche de leche is served on the side. Perfect for dipping the churo! I really enjoyed this churro. I think my husband was anticipating a more "mexican churro" experience. But he ate the entire stick! LOL. I'm excited to return - there are other empanadas flavors to try and that zuchinni will definately be ordred again!

I loved how knowledgeable the staff was on the menu, they know it like the back of their hand and make your meal by hand. It's a small eat-in restaurant which gave me some European vibes for sure (if you've ever been). I'll definitely be back to try the lamb, chimichurri, pizza, and sandwiches. It's a gluten free paradise! We got 6 empanadas for around $25 and the ranch. We loved all of them but would say the chicken and pork are top tier tasty! We tried those two, plus the chorizo which was well seasoned, carne which was juicy, papa y queso which was like a fried pierogi, and the Espinoza which was spinach and cheese. They were all tasty and the ranch is made with fresh herbs hence the colors. It has a cooling effect like the a cucumber sauce. I would definitely recommend a sauce, they have a few with a kick to them which I think would enhance the empanadas! We also want to go back and try the churros, I wanted some but it was close to closing time so I opted to just come back another time.

My daughter and her husband invited me here. It was wonderful. The gluten free empanadas are great. The place was clean and the man was very nice and helpful. I will be back!

We came in on a Saturday evening and we were the only customers there. The inside is a little small but there are several tables and there's art on their wall (some even for sale). It was only Chef Joel and one other worker there but you can tell they care about their customers and food quality. It was our first time here so she explained the menu and let us take a seat wherever. Once you're ready to order, you head up to the counter. They advertise they are gluten free, soy free, grain free, nut and sugar free. I tried some of their empanadas and the "carne" was my favorite - packed with so much flavor. They are a bit greasy though. The steak was perfectly cooked to a medium rare temperature and the plantain chips were crispy and well seasoned. After eating here and trying their food, I'm surprised at how empty the restaurant was. They should totally have a line out the door!

I am gluten free and it's so hard to find places with dishes that look as good as the not GF food! This was amazing bc I could eat ANYTHING on the menu. The papa y queso empanada was my favorite but everything was amazing!!

Choripan is easily my favorite Argentine restaurant in Columbus, and it's not even close. The restaurant prides itself being free of gluten, nuts, grains, soy, sugar, and seed-oil, but the food there is so delicious that you would never know that all these things are missing from your order. The restaurant has a casual ambiance, the service is friendly and efficient, and the food is made fresh to order. We ordered the carne empanadas, the Lomito (grilled beef sandwich), the Pechuga (grilled chicken sandwich), and a side of plantain chips. All the dishes arrived at our table quickly, and they were all good-sized portions. The most amazing part of our dining experience at Choripan was that you couldn't tell that their food is free of so many ingredients that are common of everyday food items and still be this tasty! I highly recommend Choripan, and wish I lived closer so I could visit them more often.

My husband found out about this restaurant on Yelp and when he told me that it's an Argentinian restaurant, I was super excited to go. However, to be honest, when I found out that this place serves food free of gluten, nuts, grains, soy, sugar, and seed-oil, I lost interest right away. But still went because my husband wanted to. I am so glad that we tried out this place because the food was just delicious and there is no way that you would know that the food lacked gluten, nuts, grains, soy, and sugar. Inside the restaurant is very casual and cozy with great customer service. We ordered the carne empanadas, the Lomito, the Pechuga and plantain chips. Everything was great. I highly recommend this place, and we will definitely visit again!

    Apple Fritter

My friend and I, both of whom can't have gluten, came for lunch this week, after wanting to check it out for awhile. It's a small little place, but there are several tables. You order at the window, and the employee was very helpful. We both ordered empanadas, as well as a dessert. Being vegetarian, there aren't tons of options for me here, but I got a root empanada and churros. My friend ordered a duck empanada and fritters. I thought my empanada was good, but the ratio of crispy dough to filling was a bit off, I couldn't taste the filling much. My friend enjoyed hers though. The star was the fritter- it was so dang delicious, and especially more so since getting gluten free fritters is a rarity. I'm sure meat-eaters would love it here more than me, but I'd come back for the fritter.

Chorpain was amazing, chef Joel Linik did an amazing job and my party had a great dinning experience. He was the only one in there and absolutely killed it! I look forward to coming back and trying more, in the meantime check out my pictures.

There were half a dozen things I wanted to try, but I went with a simple paella and a single rib. Plus some churros to take home for Kid K. The paella was excellent. Good mix of plenty of rice, meat, veggies. A nice blend of flavors and textures. The rib was big and meaty, and flavorful without sauce, although I did use the sauces from the paella to dip in. Very, very enjoyable meal. Service was good. Order at the counter and they bring it out. Prices are a little high, but what isn't nowadays, and remember that you're downtown. Parking can be crazy of course. The bathroom is way back down along hallway, but it's there. I will definitely be back to try some of the other things on the menu.

We order our food and pay at the register. They give you a number and the server comes and brings out the food when it ready. I got the sampler which came with an empanada, rice, chicken, fries and a rib. The fries were cooked perfectly and had a nice crispiness to them. The meat on top tastes like a type of Italian sausage. The rib had a nice some taste, like as if it came right off the grill at a family bbq. My favorite part of the plate was the rice and chicken! It was so tasty. If you get spicy sauce just be prepared because it is spicy! But a delicious spicy.

Not bad but nothing special. We also shared the shrimp ceviche. Good flavor but strange texture with the toasted nuts. The food seems like it's fusion as my friend and I both got chilaquiles but the chips were already broken apart and mixed with the meat. Still tasty but not what we expected. My other friend got the patacon, which basically looked like a salad. Far from the usual plantain fritters with toppings. Only one of my table mates ordered something that sounded like what was expected, the Ecuadorian churrasco: sirloin, eggs, fries, rice, and salad. For dessert, we got the flan and tres leches cake. There was a hair on the cake and they quickly gave us a new slice. Good but the flan could've been better. The cake was good though. Nothing was too sweet which was perfect. Overall the food was good but not as authentic as we had hoped. The service was also a bit slow. It was a slower evening but it took a while to get our drinks. Our server was really nice though. We ordered his recommendations. I'm not too familiar with parking around here but there were parallel spots in front. I parked in the garage at the back. Around $6 for two hours.
