My first two visits were with a female employee, and everything was pleasant, so this immediately rubbed me the wrong way. After I paid and was waiting for my food, I happened to look back at the menu before leaving and realized he charged me $5 more than what my order should've cost. I was in a rush and didn't have time to stop and argue about it, but I definitely noticed. And before anybody says it was a mistake , I know Haitian culture VERY well. I also know that overcharging people who are assumed to be tourists or people who don't speak Creole is unfortunately not some rare thing. So this felt intentional to me. That's what makes this so disappointing because the food is honestly so good. But no food is good enough for dishonesty. I truly wish the restaurant success because people's livelihoods depend on these businesses doing well, but that guy at the counter is going to drive customers away.
