This has to be my favorite place on the planet! Not only is the staff so sweet and attentive, their food is amazing. Prices are great and you get huge portions! We moved to the area and tried to find a great Chinese restaurant and I'm glad we found Chow Wok. Also, this was the only place my picky 3 year old will eat from haha so it's a win win for us all. When I walked in I was greeted by a younger kid with freckles. I asked him what he recommended and he suggested the General Tso's chicken or orange chicken. He is a chubby Chinese kid and I figured he knew what he was talking about. I took his advice and ordered the General Tso's chicken. My wife had the cheese puffs. Both came out really fast and the cheese puffs were huge with very thin batter. Most places have too much batter on the outside. The General Tso's chicken also had a delightful meat to batter ratio. It was very meaty! I hate it when it's all batter with very little meat inside. I ate in this time but I'll definitely try the delivery service next time. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and shown the menu. I came in with a fellow yelper who loved it as well. We ordered off their lunch menu which included the entree, drink, rice, chicken egg roll and a soup (dine in only) and decided to get pork egg rolls on the side. My entree was the beef and vegetables as for my dates was General Tso. The food came out hot and delicious. Everything had flavor and was not lacking in any areas. The pork egg rolls were a hit! They were crispy, flavorful, and exploding with flavor. We even had left overs and got an extra order of pork egg rolls. Visited here tonight. I have seen wonderful reviews. At first when walked in I did not like the vibe. I don't really like restraunts that you have to walk up and order, but we decided to stay. We ordered 1 hot/sour soup, orange shrimp, and the sesame beef. They offer white or brown rice. We got both just to try. We had a seat and food came out relatively fast. They are hands down getting five stars because of the food. Both dishes were hot, tasted so fresh and were absolutely delicious! The sesame beef was crunchy and saucy. Delicious and they great extensive menu. I've tried this place two times and both times I ordered off their dinner special menu. I ordered pick up but went inside and it looks really clean and they're really efficient checking out. Also, if you order off the yelp link online which directs you to another page, you get a discounted menu rate. I can recommend the general tsos and orange chicken. It tasted fresh and savory. I also ordered the shrimp egg rolls which comes with whole shrimp inside which I was pleasantly surprised. I look forward to continuing to go here as my go to Chinese take out place. I highly recommend everyone in this area to dine here as it's really hard to find good locally owned restaurants in this area. Best of all, the prices are extremely reasonable. Now I'm trying not to get too excited because I have to order from them a couple more times but so far everything was good. I got the shrimp spring rolls and the shrimp was seasoned and medium sized. The house fried rice was very good and not dry. The pepper steak was also good as well. I decided to try this place out because of the good reviews, but I was kind of disappointed. I had the cream cheese puffs, cream cheese puffs, and egg drop soup. I shouldn't have assumed that the puffs would have crab in it as it is called cream cheese puffs on their ordering site. It tasted like just that, cream cheese in a fried puff. It wasn't too bad, I just wish there was crab in it. The egg drop soup had a very strange smell to it, like plastic burning or something. I had to throw it out. Lastly, the eggplant and shrimp was a little weird as well because the shrimp was salted fine, but the eggplant was more on the bland side. When I was eating it, it felt like the flavors weren't melded together very well.
