    Lauriat Meal with Siomai
    Gretchen V.

I've honestly only been coming to Chowking about once a year since 2023 and it's for a very special reason. My nana (grandma) Aning loved Chowking especially the Lauriat Meal. Since she passed away, I've made it a little tradition to stop by around her birthday and enjoy a meal in her honor. It's my way of remembering her and feeling connected to those memories. As for the restaurant itself, the customer service at the counter isn't really the best but it's not the worst either. The employees who clean the dining area have actually been much friendlier during my visits and always seem more welcoming. The food is decent and usually satisfies the craving. That said, I can't help comparing it to the Chowking I had when I moved to the Philippines in 2019. Maybe it's nostalgia talking but I remember the food tasting a lil better there. Even so, this location holds a special place in my heart cuz of the memories it brings back. For that reason alone, I will continue my yearly tradition and keep coming back to celebrate my nana's birthday in heaven!

Chowking always gives me a sense of home. Filipino Chinese food just hits different. Faves would be the chinese fried chicken, siomai, asado siopao, and chao fan! Staff is always happy and friendly as well. Fast service and clean environment

Chowking Las Vegas always gives me that "back home in Manila" feeling. Siomai for the win.

Came here today cause I'm craving for their beef wanton noodles but my surprised I'm not HAPPY and waisted my $17 and my mileage (from Southwest side ) noodles was so moo-shy and well overcooked . Very disappointing :(

I tried the Halo-Halo Dessert here for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. Halo-Halo is a popular Filipino dessert of shaved ice with several preserved fruits and beans, tapioca pearls, ube jam & ice cream, and my favorite... caramel flan. Translated it means "mix-mix" which is a mixture of all the goodies, as well as you can mix it all together. It was such a refreshing treat for a hot day. Love all the layers of flavors. The cashiers are friendly and quick to answer any questions. Lines are always busy and it's a fast paced atmosphere. Got a couple of the Halo-halo to go and they packaged them all up nicely and still great after a 15 minute car ride. I will need to do another review on the food next time.

Again It seems that we always stop at Chowking to grab siopao. Why do we do this, when I can grab it at 7-11 back in Hawaii? Because we don't have Chowking back home. That's like Trader Joe's. You gotta go cause it's there. I never really came here much even when I was stationed in San Diego. I feel the food is average and they don't really have any specialty dish or meal. But all Chowkings are clean and friendly. Overall three stars. I like the place but it's nothing special. M

My order was quickly taken by Anita. Despite her wearing a face mask, I could see the smile in her eyes. I ordered the Chao Fan with Siomai. Added lumpiang shanghai to it. My honest comment is that the Chao Fan that I loved so dearly in ChowKing Philippines is a better than this US version. The rice as I remember it in the Philippines is so flavorful that one hardly needs to add anything to it. For this one (here in the US, I had to use the flavor packets. I guess that is why I was provided with flavor packets. In any case that was the only slightly negative I could say. Being an avowed Filipino place and with a lot of Pinoy seniors around I think they could do better by curating the music to match the demographic. Add to that the fact that I am here on a Sunday breakfast. Otherwise everything else is good.

There are things to explore and old favorites: Chinese, Thai, Malay, Japanese. They have a good selection of teas. And dim sum, too. As it happens, I did have noodles: I can recommend the Singapore noodles, which had a nice curry flavor plus just a little heat. There was plenty of barbecued pork and veggies in the dish. I was impressed with it and look forward to coming back to try some of their other dishes from cuisines I'm less familiar with. That's the advantage of a place like this: You can easily find something safe, but also try something new. The ambiance is upscale without being oppressively fancy, if you know what I mean. A lot of red, white and black. It's nice, but you won't feel weird if you're casually dressed. Comfortable seating. Attentive service. The restaurant has a number of tables each side of an aisle and also some seating at counter. We looked at the menu and we each decided on our meal. I chose the Singapore noodles. While they were good, the noodles were not at all spicy as they are supposed to be. I was not asked what level spice I wanted as I have in other restaurants. There were a few pieces oif shrimp, but less than I would expect. The noodles were good and I enjoyed them but I was a bit disappointed by their non-standard flavor and protein amount. Service was excellent. Our server was good enough to give us separate checks. They use the checkout devices that you are given at the table and you add any tip and then tap or Apple Pay. Very convenient. The prices are in line with other places and that was a surprise for the B.

Their take-out business appeared to be robust, which was a good sign that they must be doing something right with their offerings. Menu is pretty standard fair. Noodles in broth with beef shank, various dumplings, rice plates and dry noodle dishes. We started with the deep fried spring rolls which were tasty. The wrapping was very thin and delicate and had a nice crunch for each bite. There are six in an order, which is a great value. Wife ordered the Lucky Beef Noodle which has a mildly spicy broth. She asked for half the normal amount of noodles, as she feels that the noodles end up soaking up a lot of broth. I ordered the Beef Soup with Dumplings, which is basically what my wife ordered without the noodles. I wanted noodles added, so they were gracious and added the noodles my wife did not want to my order. The broth was flavorful and mild, not much of a kick. But the pork and cabbage dumplings included in my order were out of this world delicious and paired perfectly with the beef and its broth. I highly recommend this specific dish! I went in expecting something special because of all the reviews, but the food was nowhere near what I expected. The noodles are supposed to be the star, but mine were nothing magical. The broth was overly salty, the flavors were disappointing, and the overall meal just felt mediocre. Some of the meat was excessively fatty, and for what you're paying, I expected a much better experience. The wait and the overall experience made it even worse. For a restaurant that gets this much hype, I expected better food, better consistency, and better service. The noodle-making is interesting to watch, but honestly, that's about the only "show" worth mentioning. A restaurant shouldn't be able to rely on people watching noodles being pulled while the actual meal leaves you disappointed. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but based on my experience, I absolutely would not go out of my way to eat here again. There are plenty of better noodle spots in Las Vegas where the food actually lives up to the hype. 1/5. Overhyped, disappointing, and definitely not worth the wait.
