    Halo-Halo

I tried the Halo-Halo Dessert here for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. Halo-Halo is a popular Filipino dessert of shaved ice with several preserved fruits and beans, tapioca pearls, ube jam & ice cream, and my favorite... caramel flan. Translated it means "mix-mix" which is a mixture of all the goodies, as well as you can mix it all together. It was such a refreshing treat for a hot day. Love all the layers of flavors. The cashiers are friendly and quick to answer any questions. Lines are always busy and it's a fast paced atmosphere. Got a couple of the Halo-halo to go and they packaged them all up nicely and still great after a 15 minute car ride. I will need to do another review on the food next time.

Again It seems that we always stop at Chowking to grab siopao. Why do we do this, when I can grab it at 7-11 back in Hawaii? Because we don't have Chowking back home. That's like Trader Joe's. You gotta go cause it's there. I never really came here much even when I was stationed in San Diego. I feel the food is average and they don't really have any specialty dish or meal. But all Chowkings are clean and friendly. Overall three stars. I like the place but it's nothing special. M

My order was quickly taken by Anita. Despite her wearing a face mask, I could see the smile in her eyes. I ordered the Chao Fan with Siomai. Added lumpiang shanghai to it. My honest comment is that the Chao Fan that I loved so dearly in ChowKing Philippines is a better than this US version. The rice as I remember it in the Philippines is so flavorful that one hardly needs to add anything to it. For this one (here in the US, I had to use the flavor packets. I guess that is why I was provided with flavor packets. In any case that was the only slightly negative I could say. Being an avowed Filipino place and with a lot of Pinoy seniors around I think they could do better by curating the music to match the demographic. Add to that the fact that I am here on a Sunday breakfast. Otherwise everything else is good.

Located in the Seafood City. I frequent this area a lot because I work in the area. I wanted a soup dish so I ordered the Mami Noodle. It's made with chicken broth, noodles, chicken etc. I ordered it with no egg and yet it had eggs. No worries, I was able to take it out. The soup lacked flavor. I actually ended up throwing it away. This was my first time eating at Chow King and I was hoping to like the food. I'll try different dishes next time.

This is a great spot for anyone craving a mix of Filipino and Chinese flavors. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, ( siopao and a taho) Jai and the staffs are really nice and attentive. Whether you're in the mood for a quick snack or a full meal, Chowking is a reliable choice that never disappoints.

Anita is very polite and helpful with our orders, she is nice and pleasant with her genuine smile, which helps me to start my day.

Breakfast was horrible. The breakfast with garlic fried rice was bad. All the meat tasted old and dry. The garlic rice wasnt garlic rice and it was dry. The wonton soup was ok. The chicken mami was horrible. Never again.

I ordered the beef wonton noodle soup and chicken mami both noodles were overcooked. It felt like im eating laffy taffy candy. The texture was sticky (fake noodles) idk what noodles they are using. But it is like burnt plastic stuck together. It was gross‼

A favorite go to anytime you visit a Seafood City! Even though their chicken might not come as close as Jollibee's, they more than make up for variety. I didn't order it this time around, but their siopao (steamed bun) is top notch and is a favorite. We always take home around 3 dozen (comes in a bag of 6) frozen siopao plus a free siopao whenever we visit the Sacramento location. This time my younger child and I were in town for an All State Choir Concert and we couldn't leave Vegas without getting some Filipino fast food. Chow King doesn't disappoint! I ordered the 2 entree Lauriat combo with rice, Chinese style spicy chicken and 5 piece lumpiang shanghai (eggroll.) The combo also comes with pancit canton (Filipino chow mein,) one buchi (sesame ball,) and a drink. It was a pretty satisfying lunch before heading to the airport. Service was top notch and the employees are always friendly. It can get loud since you're sharing surrounding space with 3 other eating establishments and the grocery store. But at least it smells so much better here than the Sacramento location!

Yummy !! This was my first time at Chowking so I let my friends do all the ordering haha. We got Shumai, Pancit, and Taho! As well as the Lychee tea. The Shumai and Pancit were definitely my favorite. My friends said you should definitely mix the Taho because all the sugar/sweetness is at the bottom!! Very filling meal - would recommend and go again! The people taking our orders were all very nice and it was pretty busy because this location is inside Seafood City!

Been looking forward to go here cause of the good food and service. I am from Arizona, and I am always satisfied. I also appreciate Anita for helping and guiding me my orders and freebies!

Bought frozen sio bao to take home to Canada. They had a promotion buy 6 get 1 free. I bought a six-pack large asado pork sio bao $21. Very pricey but we know the quality of their buns is top notch. We were able to bring them back home and put them in the freezer right away. The restaurant is fast food style Filipino and Chinese fusion restaurant. Great family environment. The restaurant is located inside the Seafood City plaza on South Maryland Pkwy.

We dropped in for a late dinner at 8PM, driving there directly from Zion National Park after hiking Angel's Landing. It was still surprisingly busy inside and we even had to wait a bit for a table! The waitress first brought over some cucumber lemon water, then took our order. The food only took about 10 minutes to arrive. Spicy Beef Noodle, Knife Shaved ($15.97) - Whew that broth. It's like cough city on the first sip, that chili and sichuan peppercorn mixture really gets into the throat. It then transitions into a robustly beefy, salty, and even slightly sweet flavor. It's so beefy it's almost gamey in taste. The heat is actually very balanced, although after sipping on it throughout the meal, I started getting pretty sweaty even with the AC on blast in the building. The beef is great. it's fatty and has connective silverskin still attached; it's like the best part of the tendinous shank. Other than that there's the perfectly cooked, bouncy knife shaved noodles, and a couple of leaves of crunchy blanched bok choy. (5/5) Beef Pancake ($9.75) - I thought these would be dry like shao bing (I have never had 餡餅 before) but construction took us totally by surprised. The beef pancakes are almost like a flatter, beef version of sheng jian bao, complete with juicy beef aspic. The wrapper is chewy and thinner than a typical SJB, but works well here; it's not thin enough to cause holes that leak juice out. The meatball inside is beefy and flavorful, albeit not as tender as a typical pork meatball. The taste of both the juice and beef are very allium forward and full of umami. (5/5) Dan Dan Noodle, Hand Pulled Noodle ($13.97) - The topping is a cold meat and preserved veggie mixture, minced finely until very tender and soft. It's combined with plenty of sesame paste and peanuts, giving an overwhelming nuttiness. The noodles, in this case the hand pulled one, work exceptionally well, being perfectly cooked and staying the same bouncy consistency throughout the meal. My experience with the hand pulled noodles in broth at the other Shang location was that the noodles got too soft only ten or fifteen minutes sitting in the broth. I would definitely get hand pulled only with dry dishes. On the bottom of this dish is a really spicy sauce, both in heat and mala numbness. It's very fragrant and lemony even through there's not much red color. The dish as a whole is far more spicy overall than the Spicy Beef Noodle. (5/5) The portions Shang Artisan Noodle serves are huge. We hiked Angels Landing before eating dinner here and we were only able to finish about half our meal. Shang Artisan Noodle serves some really great noodle dishes. There's a reason we keep coming back for more! Bathrooms - Two individual rooms, one for women, one for men

I gave it a 4/5 because although the food was great, I've had better spicy wontons elsewhere but I would definitely come back to eat the spicy noodles again.

It is located in a strip mall with an abundance of convenient parking. Inside, they had nice tables and bench seating and also had a couple of nice sized round tables with lazy Susans for larger families. We arrived around 7:30-ish and it was quiet with one or two other parties dining. Their take-out business appeared to be robust, which was a good sign that they must be doing something right with their offerings. Menu is pretty standard fair. Noodles in broth with beef shank, various dumplings, rice plates and dry noodle dishes. We started with the deep fried spring rolls which were tasty. The wrapping was very thin and delicate and had a nice crunch for each bite. There are six in an order, which is a great value. Wife ordered the Lucky Beef Noodle which has a mildly spicy broth. She asked for half the normal amount of noodles, as she feels that the noodles end up soaking up a lot of broth. I ordered the Beef Soup with Dumplings, which is basically what my wife ordered without the noodles. I wanted noodles added, so they were gracious and added the noodles my wife did not want to my order. The broth was flavorful and mild, not much of a kick. But the pork and cabbage dumplings included in my order were out of this world delicious and paired perfectly with the beef and its broth. I highly recommend this specific dish! If you are in search for Taiwanese food, give them a shot. Good quality, fresh food that is nicely flavored!

Our waitress and waiter were both very nice. Service is great here. I have no complaints regarding that! I started by ordering their Hot Tea Pot in the Genmaicha Tea, which is refillable ($3). The tea was good. I must've had it refilled about three times. The husband got the Asahi draft. For the food orders, we started with the cholegi salad, takoyaki, and chicken karaage. While the cholegi salad was good, I'd have to say I've had better chicken karaage elsewhere. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to skip the chicken karaage next time. It was lacking in flavor so I asked for table salt to sprinkle on top of it. For the main dish, our party ordered beef sukiyaki udon, tendon, tuna and avocado poke don, nabeyaki udon, and kake udon. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. For dessert, we got everything that was on the menu so that we could sample them. I particularly enjoyed their matcha pudding in that it was more than what the picture showed. There were layers of azuki beans and black sugar syrup underneath the green pudding. This one was my favorite! The sweet potato ice cream was the party's favorite. Overall, I really like the vibe of this restaurant.
