Where does my family go as soon as we land in Las Vegas and get the rent-a-car? To Chow King!!! We had a very late lunch around 2 pm, but that's considered "normal" for Filipinos and the counter was full! You can order your food, leave to check the surrounding dining hall area or do your groceries, and your food will be waiting on the counter. FOOD: Asado siopao was warm and delicious to bite into. Add the brown sauce for an extra kick of juiciness! DRINK: Sago et Gulaman/Black Jelly is just the perfect amount of sweetness that pairs nicely with the siopao. DESSERT: Buchi is a medium-sized ball of red bean paste inside. The serving comes in 6 balls for only $2.99! Taho is also pretty delicious. It's a hot and sugary delight with chewy boba floating about the soup. Do note that you need a key to use the clean restrooms! I always enjoy going to Chowking especially when we lived in the Philippines, this is one of our go to fast food restaurants chains that actually offers great food! When we went to Vegas I saw that they are offering breakfast! so I need to try it, they have few selections for their breakfast and i ordered the longanissa with egg served with garlic fried rice and it was amazing! brought back wonderful memories while we were living in Philippines. My husband got the pancit and he loves it! and I love that he thought that the squid ball was water chestnuts lol and I have to explain to him that it was not water chestnuts but I'm glad he loved it. We loved Chowking so much that we came back the next day for breakfast but this time I ordered their beef noodles and my husband ordered the same thing and I also ordered Taho! The beef noodles looks better on the picture than what it actually taste lol it was just okay, the taho was the same but at least it fixed my craving for taho. I will definitely still go back at Chowking whenever we visit Vegas. read more

Steaming hot bun. They have bbq pork or chinese sausage. We prefer the bbq pork one. The chinese sausage lack flavor and not what we used to had. This is a Filipino style steam bun not chinese or vietnamese one. Still taste great and the bun are fresh and soft. Very hard to find a good bun around Vgeas. Glad we were able to find one. I wish they have one around southwest or summerlin. It was quite a drive from where we are. Service is alright nothing special but they def can be better with greeting guest or how they interact with guests. They also sell chinese food and fried chicken read more

Came here with my brother and mom a few days ago. I haven't had Chow King in forever. We ordered their breakfast entrees and Siomai. My mom got the Bangus and Longanisa. I got the Bangus and Tocino. My brother got the tocino and longanisa. I opened my food and I see a piece of hair in my food. That was disgusting to see in my food. So, I went back and showed my food to the worker. She gave me a new one. I was very disappointed with the portion sizes. They were so small. We were still hungry. I rather go to Grill City because they give more for their Breakfast combos. The siomai was my favorite. I wished I got their siopao as well. The quality of chowking has gone downhill. I used to love this place. It used to be good quality 5-6 yrs ago. read more

Delicious. The meaty asado siopao was flavorful--not too sweet nor too salty, just the right amount of savory bbq taste like stream bun. Totally recommended. The beef wonton noodle was also rich and flavorful, if only they have chili oil or something acidity to pick up more flavor, but I guess it is their style. not a food court to grab good. I always love the freshness of their food. The crunchiness of the chicken and the meaty siomai are always my favorite. Although, the walnut shrimp with the right amount of sweetness and tanginess is a new favorite. I have tried walnut shrimp in fancy restaurants. Chowking is by far the best. read more

I eat tofu, but never tried fried tofu with noodles. The noodles were just right, not a clump of noodles stuck together. And yes I've had it that way too many times to mention. Green papaya salad, is always refreshing with the savory fish sauce. Harmony in my mouth. Next time I'll take pics of the panang curry. So my only gripe is that we placed a phone order and wasn't allowed to pay over the phone and though my boss knows them well and ordered often, when calling the order in we were told it'd take 20 minutes. We waited 10 then jumped in my Bronco to head over to pick it up. We get there at as it hits the 20 minutes since the order was placed. The order should be ready right? Nope we check in with the guy at the counter and he tells us it's gonna be another 15 minutes ! Forgive me if we were hangry, but now we gotta wait another 15 minutes ? Turned out to be more like 20 more minutes!!! Yup hangry made all the additional wait time start subtracting stars. But that gave me time to look around. The restaurant is a basic place, clean is my main concern. Ample seating for maybe 20 people. It was empty except for two people seated at a table. Lots of sturdy laminated menus. Didn't notice any take out menus but I was hangry and a little upset having to wait another additional 20 minutes on top of the original 20 minutes. I think they could've been upfront if they don't take a payment over the phone that they won't start it till you get there and pay first. I could understand that. But damn 40 minutes total wait time !!! Another side note, someone else from my office said they ordered and paid in advance online around 2pm in the afternoon and they were told they had to wait 15-20 minutes when they expected to be picking up their order and walking out. So I dunno if there's some kind of problem with their system of handling orders. Cause that's pretty lame to pay for an online order and the food wasn't ready when they got there. The food was good and it sucks to have it be a three star review. I will go back, but I'll order and pay online and see if the delay still exists.
