All this makes the steak disappointment that much worse for me. We ordered Ribeye and Shrimp Salmon Lobster Mac and Cheese Asparagus Lobster Roll (Sushi) A drink from the bar The Steak.. The steak came served on a cast-iron skillet. I ordered it medium-well. It arrived a little more medium than usual, but that was not an issue. What disappointed me was the puddle the steak was sitting in. Traditionally said puddle is a mixture of butter, thyme, and whatever seasonings you used on the steak when cooking it. In this case, that puddle was flavorless. It really tasted like the steak was just sitting in a flavorless oil. The steak was very bland, very difficult to think someone could send out a piece of meat out like that, especially when you find out what it costs. It was not worth it and not worth the final tab unfortunately. Really wanted to find a steak W for Downey but I don't see myself being interested in this place again.

There was very little communication, and after waiting all that time, management didn't offer anything to make up for the inconvenience--not even an apology, a future discount, or any kind of gesture. I understand that unexpected situations happen, but good customer service is about how those situations are handled. Since we were there for a birthday celebration, the whole experience was especially disappointing and could have been handled much better.

Ordered a full rack of ribs along w/BBQ bake beans & garlic bread along w/fries. So so so good. The ribs r meaty. Tender meat and serves fresh. Also, meal comes with soup or salad. Their ranch is thick and my favorite type of ranch. Order ranch on the side. Meal was about $29. & some change. I shared it with my bestie so I recommend sharing it & we didn't even finish the full rack. We only ate 4 ribs before we both got stuffed. -be prepared to take left overs home. Service was good! I've been a loyal customer of Chris N Pitts for over 45 years, which is why this recent experience was disappointing. When I picked up a recent to-go order, I was informed in advance that there would be an additional $5 charge if I didn't pay cash. While I appreciate being told ahead of time, I still find the fee excessive. After decades of patronage, it was surprising to encounter such a significant surcharge based solely on payment method. Additionally, the salad and soup were served in noticeably smaller containers, yet the price remains the same. Paying more while receiving smaller portions is frustrating, especially for long-time customers. I truly hope management considers how these changes impact loyal patrons. I've supported this restaurant for 45 years and would like to continue doing so, but the value and overall experience need to reflect that loyalty. read more

I visited Chris n Pitts hoping to escape the heat, but the experience was a complete letdown. The A/C was broken, leaving the dining area uncomfortably warm. My steak was overcooked, far from the medium-rare I requested. Our server, while attentive and friendly, was visibly dripping in sweat, which wasn't their fault but added to the unpleasant vibe. To top it off, I was told the ice maker was broken, so my drink arrived warm with no ice. The table in front of me was battling a fly the entire time, which was distracting and off-putting. Really, some people have been giving this place 2 stars. You can;t beat the price and the food. My husband and I both got the lunch Sirloin Special for 7.95. It included a choice of 2 side. We both got the salad and beans. It also came with a large slice of garlic bread( could have used more garlic). The soda is the size of your head. I mean what more can you ask for. Next time I am trying the ribs! The person in the next booth ordered the ribs and they were massive. Our total bill including tip was $26 bucks and we were both stuffed. We decided a decadent steak dinner would be a good alternative. Chris' & Pitt's did not disappoint! From the service to the fabulous strip steaks everything was perfect. We were seated in the bar area, as we requested our favorite server and may have enjoyed it more than the dining room. The garlic bread fondue was a great way to start our meal. Great service, huge portions, delish food. had our daughter's rehearsal dinner at the Downey location and everybody was singing praises as of how generous the portions were and how tasty it all was. Most of the groom's men order the porter house and the bride's maids broke the pre-wedding diet to enjoy the food. the deluxe combo was a favorite among the parents. and the flavored lemonades were so refreshing. This most recent meal, the sides of rice were all underdone and crunchy, and the complimentary cheese bread, while delicious in theory, was so greasy and rich that they gave a few of us immediate stomachaches. Their complimentary salad is also a nice touch, if a bit bland (just lettuce and dressing), but the entrees themselves just don't really hold up. Fun ambiance with the peanuts and everything; just not worth going all that often. Yes, the portions are generous and make for pretty much guaranteed leftovers, but I don't think any of us will be racing back for a while. If we return after a longer gap between visits and it's a better experience, I'll update this review, but I think Clearman's is more of a once-in-a-blue-moon kinda joint.

We ordered a basic cheese burger and onion rings. My 12 year old grandson ate it in two minutes. The onion rings were hot and crunchy - not greasy. Service - polite and fast Ambiance - typical burger joint. Clean. Bathrooms, not fancy but clean and usable. Overall: recommend!

Words to describe the cuisine would be sophisticated and elevated BBQ with Romanian fusion. Very flavorful and filling! LOCATION: It is located in the food court at Stonewood Mall. HOURS: They serve lunch and dinner. 10:00am-8pm SERVICE: We were greeted with a warm smile by Lori. I have never tasted Romanian food before, so I was excited to learn about their menu. She recommended several items for us to choose from. MENU We ordered the 3 MEAT COMBO PLATTER: You can select different meats. We chose: pork belly, sausage, and ribs, with corn and french fries. Wow! Every bite was delicious! I loved the seasonings! Salty goodness from the pork belly, the Romanian sleeveless sausage, "Mici" made from beef and pork was perfectly seasoned and paired well with mustard, and the ribs were tender and fell right off the bones. None of the meats were tough and were very scrumptious! :) ------ BRISKET SANDWICH -Delicious! The brisket was very tasty and was definitely the star of the sandwich! The bread, cheese, and the veggies that accompanied the brisket was the perfect ratio. I could taste each element in every bite! Other dishes we ate: PASTRAMI SANDWICH: Fun fact, Pastrami originated from Romania! Pastrami comes from the word pastramă which means to preserve. So of course their pastrami was top notch! BURNT ENDS TRITIP SIDES: For the sides they were all yummy. Sides they serve include frenchfries, vegetables, macaroni, mashed potatoes, and corn. My personal favorite was the mashed potatoes! They were whipped to perfection and creamy. I enjoyed the meal with my friends! I liked the presentations of each dish. The generous portions, fresh ingredients, and the garnishes on top of the foods made it look very special. We had to give accolades to the cook, Manny who made each dish. ***All in all I had a great experience dining at Pitmasters' Society BBQ Grill! If you are a meat and potatoes person, THIS IS THE PLACE! Their specialty is their grilled and smoked meats. It is great bbq packed with unique flavors inspired by Romania. I wanted to try a little of everything so I ordered the 3 meat combo (chose ribs, chicken & brisket) & a burnt end pork belly / sausage mix. I really enjoyed the baked beans, burnt bit pork belly, & brisket - they all had good flavor. The chicken was good and not dry. The bbq ribs was decent but not super juicy / tender. The sides were a miss for me (besides the baked beans), the fries were a bit soggy (I mean could be because I got takeout), and the flavor of the slaw and the potato salad (?) could be better imo. But overall the bbq was tasty and is a fantastic value & i would order again to try more of their selections!
