I finally got to try this location and it did not disappoint. I like this location better than all of them. It's easy parking and cute. Nice decor. I ordered the lunch special six shrimp with rice and beans for $13.99. The food was better at this location and they gave you nice-sized shrimps. Service by Juan was excellent. He was very patient and kind. He made our order to perfection. This is one of the original locations but has been modernized inside.

For myself and countless others, a meal at Johnny's Shrimp Boat isn't just about the deliciously unique comfort food, the friendly smiles on the hardworking proprietors' faces, or the combination of fried shrimp puffs, frijoles de la olla, steamed white rice, and savory brown gravy that somehow defies logic to create it's addictive flavor amalgamation that feels like a maternal hug to your stomach - it's about the memories and the camaraderie shared amongst it's very loyal, very dedicated patronage. It's not for everybody, but if it's for you - you remember that flavorful feeling para toda vida.

Food is very good deal for the money. I ordered 4 fish and chip combo for total of $13ish, enuf for both of us couple to share. They give us a lot of fries which i like cuz it was seasoned well and delish, fish was a bit heavy on the batter tho but still ok. The service was quick when i went in late like 30 mins before. Only thing i didnt like was the tar tar sauce was a bit too sour for my taste so i didn't really dip it at all. The inside was clean and unassuming, typical local mom n pop joint looks. Still pretty solid for the price.

One of the main reasons I come here is for consistency of the great taste that made me come back for the past 10+ years. Although I find myself always ordering some shrimp at tacos here, every now and again I mix it up. The sauce they use in the shrimp tacos is very unique, kinda like enchilada sauce but with a twist. Pictures don't do it justice, you just have to try them.

Horrible service. I only got two small strips of beef, and the cook was going to add more, but the boss told him no, it was okay. $15 for a bowl of rice!

Had three fish tacos, great stuff. Very crispy. I just wish they sold them per taco because i wanted to try a shrimp one as well. Fries were very underwhelming. Hardly seasoned aside from a little salt, not very good.

Back entrance parking. Nice and clean inside. Delicious food pick up .

The restaurant itself is what you make it. if you're in a bad mood, come here, he will not be in a bad mood anymore. All the food is fresh the service can't be beat. The people are always in good moods, and always get your orders, correct. The ambience is well lit so you could see what you're eating. There's nothing to hide here very clean, and very inviting. We recently decided to try what my mom always gets and that is the chicken teriyaki bowl. It is delicious so you can just forget about Waba grill and Yoshinoya for that matter and just come on down to Joni's because they have the best teriyaki chicken bowl that I have ever tasted -- delicious don't ever take this off the menu. Exception always, always ask for a side of green onion for your chicken teriyaki.'n noBreaded Chicken Teriyaki Eight Piece Fish and Chips Horchata Korean BBQ Pork Short Rib Plate

I just go for the breaded shrimp! The shrimp is so tasty and unique. I did try it with the beans, rice and gravy but not a fan.

The staff was attentive, professional, and incredibly accommodating to both me and my guests. Everyone felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the event. The food was absolutely delicious, and the quality exceeded our expectations. One of the things we appreciated most was how clean and well-maintained everything was, along with the ample parking and overall high-quality experience. Choosing your restaurant for this special occasion was one of the best decisions I made. Thank you for your outstanding service and hospitality. I would not hesitate to book future events with you and highly recommend your restaurant to others looking for a beautiful venue, great food, and exceptional customer service.

It is very spacious and well spaced. Separation of regular diners and bar drinking is nice, to keep a family friendly environment separate from the potentially more rowdy crowd. We asked what was highly recommended, and of course, it was what we came for, as others do too for their first and most likely, only visit there. I do not recommend this restaurant. We ordered their special of the day, which was a ceviche. It was made with raw shrimp, not cooked in any way, like straight from the freezer, thawed, chopped, and put into a bowl with the other fresh diced stuff. Usually, the marinating time the shrimp sits in the ceviche "cooks" it, not this one, gray shrimp. We read a review that said the octopus was life-changing, and we love a well-cooked octopus. If the octopus was just cooked, or just heated, or just slightly on the grill for a second, it would have been super delicious and life-changing, however, it was finished-cooked so poorly. My guess is that someone thinks that grill marks make it good, wrong, they burnt it. The flavor is burnt! It becomes bitter and burnt! Well, guess what, we ordered the fish.... And guess what.. it is the same!!! BURNT! Not grilled, BURNT, ON PURPOSE!?! If you want good Zarandeado, I recommend you go try Mariscos Martin in La Puente or Baldwin Park. Like I said, skip it, I do not recommend it. And, it was not cheap neither. It looked so upscale, so awesome, smelled good, then just burnt! Don't believe all the hype. This is definitely a hype restaurant, or somewhere to get drunk and not be able to comprehend what you are digesting.

They have a lot of tables inside so it is great for small and large groups. The waiters were also fast even though they were busy. We ordered their Kung Pao Chicken, Fried Tofu, Beef Noodle, Shrimp w Walnut, and Vegetable w Garlic. We decided not to get lobster since it was pricey. They took our order pretty fast and gave tea to drink. The pot of white rice is extra $1 if you order though. And their menu book doesn't have prices for some reason. Only the to-go menu has prices. Food was served in a decent amount of time, around 15 minutes. And all dishes arrived close together so we didn't have to wait long. The kung pao chicken is so good! Not spicy at all and very nice and crispy with good seasoning. It tasted delicious with some rice. The beef noodles were also delicious! It had good wok taste and was very flavorful. The tofu and shrimp were also good. None of the dishes were too salty and all were seasoned well and in pretty big portions, though I don't remember the exact price since they took the receipt away when we paid. But the meal was very worth and we had leftovers for lunch the next day. Such a yummy meal! I really enjoyed it! I am definitely coming back again!

Boston Lobster is officially my go-to location for any|all Asian lobster cravings!! Newport…read morewho?????!!! My family and I used to religiously eat lobster noodles whenever we made a trip down to SoCal. The pick of the bunch was 100% Newport Seafood- no negotiations, no contemplations. Unfortunately, the last handful of times have left me extremely disappointed and heavily annoyed. The cost and wait times do not reflect what is actually being provided and most of our food ends up being left behind because it simply isn't worth the calories. In all honestly, I've grown a phobia w/ that specific restaurant at this point because of the countless letdowns. My initial taste of Boston Lobster was about 3 years ago and I had the most enjoyable meal. Due to our LA trip coming to an end, my BD thought we should do it big with some lobster noodles- for good old time's sake. I absolutely refused to go anywhere unless we would be giving Boston Lobster a visit! Sure enough, they did not disappoint! Dinner for 3 adults and 1 toddler consisted of: *Boston House Special Lobster [no spice] + Garlic Noodles for an additional fee. Medium Size 5-6lbs minimally. *French Style Beef Cube *Sauteed Snow Pea Leaves We ate like mf'n KINGS!! Each and every dish was spectacular- even the greens! While we should have gone with the small sized lobster, I'm proud to say we went down with an honorable fight. Lmao!! The lobster was cooked to perfection- meat was sweet, succulent, and so darn tender. The garlic noodles soaked up all of the delicious lobster flavors and were not overcooked and mush. The bo luc lac was flavorful, juicy, and complimented the bed of lettuce, onions, & tomatoes so well. The snow pea leaves weren't tough and old- this truly was a simply yet magical dish. Service was on point and the staff continually came by to swap out our plates full of lobster shells. Above all, there was no wait with our initial arrival. Parking is easy given the fact that BL has a pretty big parking lot specifically for them. 5/5 stars!! We dropped over 3 bills here and it didn't even hurt. Lmao- this place is that damn good! Don't sleep on this joint, y'all. Boston Lobster is the real deal when it comes to authentic Chinese/Vietnamese cuisine. This spot should be so much more hyped than it actually is!
