Last night, after a long day, we had a great dinner at Wood Ranch in Cerritos. The food was absolutely delicious! I was once told that when the people serving your food are attentive and welcoming, the food tastes better and the beer is colder! I didn't have a beer, so I can't confirm whether it was colder, but I can definitely say that our waitress, Brittanie, was on point with everything. She was very knowledgeable and helpful with her recommendations. She explained that the grilled asparagus has more flavor than the steamed asparagus, and of course, you can never go wrong with the tri-tip! She even offered to make a fresh pot of coffee for some very tired people. When it came time for dessert, Brittanie told us that the butter cake is one of her favorites, but she also said you can't go wrong with the peach crisp topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I want to personally thank Brittanie for the amazing service she provided last night. Her never-ending smile lit up the room, and she made sure everything about our dinner was perfect. Amazing Food, and Good Service consistently. I come to Wood Ranch about once a month and every time we have a memorable experience! The vibes of restaurant are also lovely! This was the first time they forgot avocado in my Natalie's salad. To make up for it they acknowledged their mistake and gave me a nice little plate full! Came here for lunch with our double date friends snd we like to go around to different restaurants. We came here as soon as they opened at 11:30 and they sure bring in an early crowd. It was good we got here early and had no issues get sat down right away. My wife snd hadn't been here for over eight years. Our first time doing lunch. Our server Crystal was very nice and she explained to me that the only difference between their lunch and dinner menu is the lunch special and dinner gets two side choices. I ordered the bbq combo and choice of the Tri tip and two beef ribs. My wife chose the Mediterranean Sea-bass. Everything came out in a timely manner. Crystal was great on keeping our glasses full. The food was very tender and flavorful. I got bbq sauce on the side just in case they put too much which I don't care for. My wife's fish was nice and moist. Tasted almost like a trout. Pretty reasonable prices, I'm wondering if prices for dinner remain the same or slightly different because of the slight difference. No time for dessert today as we usually do dessert elsewhere. I was recently at the town center for a movie. Hadn't ate yet and when I parked, I smelled the aroma of barbecue from across the parking lot. I had 30 minutes before my movie and my friend and I decided to take a chance. We saw so many people outside waiting but we checked with the hostess if we could find a seat at the bar, she allowed it and we found two empty seats. SHOUTOUTS to the staff behind the bar! They are ON IT! Not only were they on top of getting us in and out in 30 minutes but they were nice and with a full bar, we didn't feel rushed at all. Loved this! My friend ordered a cocktail and it was beautiful and the color was amazing. She said the taste was great. We were served 4 amazingly delicious hot bread rolls with butter and garlic. This was top tier! We shared a two meat plate of brisket and baby back ribs (pork) with fries and Mac n cheese. I'll say this the baby back ribs were the best thing on the plate. Wood Ranch serves complimentary Garlic butter bread that's warm and delicious. Our Ribs were some of the best we ever had, yes they were delicious. Happy out here was fantastic. My son wanted the rolls so we went on a Friday night. We like an early dinner so it was perfect. No waiting and got right I to the bar. Ordered a few house IPA's and we were off and running. Ordered lots of apps but the wings and ribs were our favorite. Plenty of flavor on all the food. This place was extremely busy for a Friday night dinner! The parking was a little rough, but we were able to find something closer by the restaurant and we were able to get seated within 15-20 minutes. The salad was very fresh and the vegetables were nice and crunchy; the tomatoes were perfectly juicy and plump. My boyfriend and I are huge black pepper fans so we added tons! I am always skeptical of ranch dressings but this one had good flavor. The burger you can tell was not frozen and fresh ground beef, cooked a nice medium so it was moist. The roasted broccoli was the star of the night! My boyfriend got pickles on the side so I can eat them. The tri-tip was cooked medium and completely covered in the tangy BBQ sauce so every bite was perfect. The mac & cheese was a *little* cold on the plate, but the sweet potatoes were HOT and so so so so SO delicious! The biggest disappointment was the grilled asparagus that was considered a premium side for an extra $8.95. So we knew to order a lighter meal because we were saving room for dessert. My boyfriend and I ordered the beef rib entrée. I chose loaded mashed potatoes, and he went with asparagus. Our food came out piping hot and everything was soooo good! The ribs were good with the Chipotle BBQ (I got the regular BBQ sauce), and the sides were good. We of course ended with the butter cake. My boyfriend absolutely loved it, and I liked it. I prefer a firmer crust and this one was a bit softer, but I would still order it again. On another note, my seat faced the kitchen, and I was impressed by how efficiently the restaurant ran. I have eaten at many places but I never seen plates leave the line so quickly. It did not matter whose order it was, whoever walked by delivered it. Nothing sat for more than 30 seconds. Went here for a team lunch to celebrate two coworkers' birthdays, and it was my first time trying this barbecue spot. Everyone at the table was really impressed with both the portion sizes and the quality of the food. Decided to try something different tonight. Went to Wood Ranch bar and Grill. Ordered the steak, macaroni and cheese with asparagus and the salmon, asparagus with the baked potato. The steak was the perfect size and super tender. The macaroni and cheese was good. The asparagus was cooked to perfection. The salmon was nice and flaky cooked perfect. The baked potato was nice and crispy on the outside and super fluffy on the inside. Our server was super nice and very attentive. We seated fast upon arrival. Everyone around seemed to be enjoying their food. The restaurant was the perfect amount of noisy and quiet. My mother ordered filet steak and I ordered Tri Tip. I had French Fries and Macaroni and Cheese for sides. The Tri Tip was a non-thin piece of meat. It hit the spot as did the sides. Men's washroom was clean and had paper towels... good. I'm glad to see that the guys working at this establishment tucked their shirts in which I consider to be a professional look. I did notice that one of the employees had a Red Tag on his right back pocket. I consider the food to be so good that it is worth any diarrhea that might follow afterwards!
