However, if you are looking for a burger that will have your mouth watering upon driving onto the premises, this is the place for you! No meat is worth waiting this long. There's a bar in the back. We sipped on double whiskeys, you really can't mess up liquor drinks. We had been going for years ... like since 2000s .... with the newest remodel we like to support local businesses and since we had been going for years on end it was a no brainer for us. The burger wasn't as good as we use to remember it. I have a military ID and the cashier wanted me to take my ID card out for future inspection. I don't support fake id's. I'm a military dependent and my dad had served 32 years in the air force. I never had to pull my military ID out ever. I was taken back by that but it's whatever. I normally get the macho cheddar cheese burger... I don't know but it wasn't as big as I remembered it, the fries hadn't changed but since we had went when it was busy my fries weren't as fresh... other than that it was ok. Came by here for a quick meal before catching the spurs game. They have a deceptively large space that makes for a good place to hang out and catch a game, enjoy some drinks outside, or have a relaxed dinner with the family. It wasn't overly busy and even during prime hours there's so much space I couldn't imagine having trouble finding a table. My friend and I decided to split the cheddar cheezy and the tostada. We got the half pounder for both and my goodness the burgers were huge. The smashed patty was still pretty thick and oozed out of the bun along with the ample cheese. I really liked how the inside of the bun had a nice crunch but the outside was super fresh and soft. If I were to pick one of the two I'd have to go with the tostada, I never knew I wanted beans and chips on my burger but it made for a fantastic combination. For burger lovers I can't recommend the spot enough. If you're just visiting I think it's worth going out of your way to try and if I lived in the area it would certainly be part of my regular rotation read more

Have not been here since I was a kid. Stopped while visiting for a day. Food does not disappoint. Tons of options for adults and kids. Burgers were probably one of the best I have ever eaten. Kids grilled cheese looked fairly mediocre but surprisingly my kid ate most of it and he eats hardly anything. Fries were amazing. Love that they don't over season so you can choose. Patio dining is gritty and Rustic as it's a casual burger joint. Menu is traditional burgers and fries, no imaginative items except maybe the tostada burger. I ordered a cheese burger with bacon and grilled onion and a regular fry. The bacon was flavorless and wasn't deeply aromatic or salty. The grilled onions were fine, but lacked salt. This is the second time that my Mom & I have ate here this week. Glad they restocked the t-shirts, I had to buy two - the tie dye and the black shirt. The line moves pleasantly along quickly when there are two cashiers helping people. It tends to drag when there's only one. One feature I noticed this time was ordering from your table. You just scan a QR code and order from your table and then they bring your order to you. The trouble is finding an empty table. But luckily we found an empty small table both times for us I ordered the Macho Tostada Burger and French Fries both times. Both are served fresh, hot and delicious. The Tostada Burger is a regular burger with TONS of melted cheddar cheese and refried beans and tostada chips on the bottom. Topping it off with their house made salsa is a must. Chris Madrid's a place that I will almost always recommend for a great burger, especially now that they've renovated a little. The one disappointment is the fact that the tables always seem to stay dirty for far too long. It was especially noticeable on this day when table after table needed attention. It wasn't very busy, but the tables weren't being cleared or cleaned. I think most frustrating was seeing the women, who eventually cleaned them, just standing around, talking.
