I brought my 89 year old mother in for a color and cut, and she looks absolutely amazing! Lien did her color, she was so kind, patient, and the color turned out perfectly. Our stylist, Bre, was also wonderful, thoughtful, attentive, and gave my mom exactly the cut she wanted. Both Assistants were fantastic, it shows how much they love what they do I realize we were probably not the typical clients here, but everyone was so incredibly thoughtful and welcoming. They took their time, really listened, and most importantly, were so kind and genuine toward my mother. Gina is the absolute best colorist I have ever been to. I've been seeing her for over a year and she has completely transformed my hair. I came in with broken pieces and so much damage. She gave me a plan, was honest about what we needed to to and worked with me on my comfort level of highlights and being darker blonde for a while before getting my hair healthy enough to go light again. The salon is always welcoming, I can always get an appointment and I love the vibe when I come inside. My hair has never looked better, has never been healthier and I owe it all to Gina. KC Carhart is quite possibly the most brilliant stylist walking in 2017. I have followed her to three salons now and will continue to do so until she retires, which will be far earlier than when I do at this rate. If you need a complete color overhaul, she's your woman- if you need a subtle touch up, she's your woman. I met her several years back when living in DC and having had my hair destroyed. She brought me back to life, but even better! At this point, I would let her die my hair rainbow colored and trust it would be exquisite- and- I would trust her to turn around and take me back to my beachy blonde seamlessly with no weirdness showing. She's a talent, a force, has a gift- a blonde genius too for natural brunettes of all shades. Mixed feelings. Pete cut and styled my hair, he was amazing! 5/5! Abby on the other hand colored my hair, and I honestly felt like she was rushing through it to get rid of me as fast as possible. I was hoping to get some highlights and asked for her opinion but was immediately shut down, then she went off to mix the base color and start the work quickly without giving me a chance to think and digest. There was a lot of attitude from her side and I didn't feel very welcome. Maybe she was just having a bad day, or I'm only a one-time client that she doesn't care about, but I really was excited to get my hair colored by her after seeing her work online. read more

Started having my hair cut (recently moved here) by Pete, like my $250 cut and him just fine. Was definitely going to keep coming back, but no more. I'd asked him for a recommendation for a styling product, which I bought, but the first time I used it the scent was so strong I got an instant migraine. I called the salon to return it, but was told they do not accept product returns. This (long overdue) review is for the amazing Dani P who never fails to give me the most vibrant and refreshed hair everytime. I've been seeing her for years when she was an assistant and continue seeing her now that she is on the floor. I have a lot of hair and it's very thick and wavy right up to the root which many stylists/colorists find difficult to work with. Dani is very meticulous with her highlighting technique and gets it right every time, especially with her toning formulas. Also, her shampoos are absolutely amazing! This salon is worth the drive for me up from San Diego and Robert Lopez is worth every single penny when it comes to my hair. Effortless and professional he knows the look you're going or and executes it perfectly. I leave feeling like a rock star and he is super friendly and easy going which tops off the experience. His assistant and other people I've encountered have been really laid back and nice and I've never got the stuck up vibe from anyone. Also--if you need someone to completely change your life when it comes to color see Justin Anderson. I must start by saying that 4 months ago I went to a different Beverly Hills Salon for highlights and my hair was burnt beyond repair and orange in color. I was blessed to meet Kelsey Hellenbrand who not only did an amazing job but did it in such a gentle manor as to not damage my hair anymore. At my appointment, we talked about my hair, what I like about it, what I don't like and what I would like. We talked through the options and I loved what I heard. Marcos was what I was searching for... someone who translates what you want, analyzes your hair and makes expert recommendations based on their knowledge and skill. WOW, WOW, WOW! I just love the cut he gave me - looks great when I give myself extra time to do a great blowout and looks great I only have time to dry it up a bit. I was hanging around Beverly Hills on vacation from SF and got the sudden urge to dye my virgin, mousey brown hair blond. I don't know what got into me, but I decided that it must be done asap. Contacted friend's mom, and she recommended her salon, Chris McMillan. When I called the receptionist was great. She miraculously said that she could get me an appointment in 30 mins with Leann. A bit crazy right: basically a walk in for a full head of highlights at a great salon. Done. Leann was so wonderful and nice. She saw my photos and warned me against over processing. It was decided that I would get full highlights but that they would be able to grow out without any streaking. She really nailed the color. Perfectly fits my hope for the whim coloring session. Look no further, go to Marcos. I spent weeks researching and finally found Marcos! I needed a drastic hair cut, from my long hair to a LOB and it was every bit as I dreamt it would be. His recommendation to go slightly shorter with no layers was spot on. I would usually watch nervously in the chair as a stylist cuts my hair and fret about how it would look like but with Marcos and Susan, I found myself completely at ease, only to look up to admire his genius snips. I just washed my hair today and it looks just like his blow dry cut on the day!! This is extremely important to someone as low maintenance as me who doesn't own a hairbrush. No point looking like a million bucks on hair cut day but a buck chuck after you wash your hair. I still feel like a million bucks. Check out his Instagram and his precision cuts if you're in doubt. Must see Marcos Trueba! I have never been happier with a cut as I am today. I did a lot of research prior to booking an appointment and although I read nothing but amazing reviews, it didn't stop me from being entirely anxious about having my long locks lopped off. First things first...Marcos is not only an amazing talent, but also very genuine. I just knew I was in good hands and my apprehension quickly subsided. The cutie that shampooed me was nothing short of awesome and sweet. I read some reviews here about the staff at the salon...I didn't get that vibe at all. Of course, maybe it's me. Maybe I'm such a horrible B***h that I don't notice when anyone else is...The point is, that was definitely not my experience, so take those reviews with a grain of salt and have your own experience. Is it expensive? That's such a subjective question, as everyone's situation is different...For me, I didn't find it expensive. I think it's expensive to go and have a terrible haircut. A terrible haircut makes me feel terrible and a lot of times, I have to go and get it cut again to fix it and then again to fix that... I have found one thing in life to be true; I have gotten what I paid for where my hair is concerned and for me, it's was worth every penny. read more
