I literally have no idea how she managed to pull off this dish, but it is the best ceviche I have ever had. Truly delicious. I even drank down the broth, which didn't taste a bit fishy. The spicy pork was also disappointing because the first flavor that hit was vinegar. It tasted overly acidic and heavy-handed rather than balanced and spicy. Banchan was good. The banchan portions were pretty small for 3 adults and 2 kids. We could have asked for more, but honestly by that point we were just ready to finish eating and leave. Service was okay. They were polite enough, just more direct than warm. Not rude, but not the kind of hospitality we're used to in the South. On a beautiful summer Friday evening during tourist season, I was a little surprised it wasn't busier because the space creates a great first impression. We ordered the General Tso's Chicken, Mongolian Beef, spring rolls, and two boba teas. The sauces on both entrées had good flavor, but unfortunately the proteins were the weak point of the meal. The chicken was fair, but the beef was extremely tough and dry. The texture was so chewy that it almost felt like beef jerky that had been rehydrated in sauce. The rice also didn't seem fresh and fluffy as I would have expected. The spring rolls were easily the best part of the meal. They were fresh, flavorful, and the highlight of everything we ordered. The boba teas were a bit underwhelming. They were so sweet that the sweetness completely overpowered the tea flavor, making it difficult to appreciate the drink itself. Our total came to about $64, including a 15% tip on a pickup order. At that price point, I expected better quality and value, especially considering the portion size of the Mongolian Beef.
