Since the restaurant also serves Japanese food, I'm guessing they may use the same base. The beef was sliced very thin, and for almost $20 I wouldn't order it again. The spicy pork was also disappointing because the first flavor that hit was vinegar. It tasted overly acidic and heavy-handed rather than balanced and spicy. Banchan was good. The banchan portions were pretty small for 3 adults and 2 kids. We could have asked for more, but honestly by that point we were just ready to finish eating and leave. Service was okay. They were polite enough, just more direct than warm. Not rude, but not the kind of hospitality we're used to in the South. Overall, if you're craving Korean/Japanese food in Rapid City, this may be your only option, but don't go in expecting authentic Korean flavors. It gets the job done and belly full so that's a plus.

On a beautiful summer Friday evening during tourist season, I was a little surprised it wasn't busier because the space creates a great first impression. We ordered the General Tso's Chicken, Mongolian Beef, spring rolls, and two boba teas. The sauces on both entrées had good flavor, but unfortunately the proteins were the weak point of the meal. The chicken was fair, but the beef was extremely tough and dry. The texture was so chewy that it almost felt like beef jerky that had been rehydrated in sauce. The rice also didn't seem fresh and fluffy as I would have expected. The spring rolls were easily the best part of the meal. They were fresh, flavorful, and the highlight of everything we ordered. The boba teas were a bit underwhelming. They were so sweet that the sweetness completely overpowered the tea flavor, making it difficult to appreciate the drink itself. Our total came to about $64, including a 15% tip on a pickup order. At that price point, I expected better quality and value, especially considering the portion size of the Mongolian Beef. I genuinely want local restaurants to succeed, and Pacific Rim has a nice atmosphere and some promising flavors. However, based on this experience, the quality did not match the price. I think more attention to ingredient freshness and execution would go a long way. I got a breakfast burrito and my husband got the breakfast sausage burrito. We have been wanting a good breakfast burrito for a while and this is it. The husband and wife combo running the food truck were amazing and the service was quick. The truck looked clean on the inside. My husband and I both agreed that the burrito had the perfect mix of egg, cheese, meat, and potatoes! It was delicious, if you like salsa - the salsa verde is amazing!
