I went in for a basic oil change and car inspection. The staff was cordial, courteous, and prompt, which I really appreciated. Customer service was definitely a strong point. However, I did have some concerns about the thoroughness of the inspection. I was able to point out a few things myself that were initially missed, and it seemed like the technician performing the inspection may have been new, as they needed guidance from more experienced team members. Because of this, I don't feel completely confident that the inspection was as comprehensive as it should have been. Unfortunately, I don't currently have the time or resources to seek a second opinion, so I'll have to move forward and hope everything is in good shape. Fingers crossed.

I have faithfully used Smoky Hill Auto Servive since I purchased the car (2010 Toyota Rav4 4WD Limited), so I ordered a tow to bring it to SHAC, and spoke to Phil pre-arrival. The technician told me that Ford had filled my transfer case with the wrong fluid and that it was leaking. This was surprising, as the service at Ford had been completed just one month and three days prior. To be safe, I took the fluid sample back to Ford. They reviewed both the sample and their service records and confirmed that the correct fluid had been used. I also had an independent mechanic evaluate it, and they confirmed there was absolutely nothing wrong. I was also told there was a leak, but I have seen no evidence of any leaking fluid where the vehicle is parked. This experience caused unnecessary stress and wasted time getting second opinions. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage others to verify any major claims made here before taking further action.
