I've been coming here since 2013 (yep, I keep my receipts as proof) and I can always find the part or accessory I need for my Jeep. As an added bonus, their sales team helps with (select) installs. Today, I had to get a new battery (it lasted me 5 yrs but was only cranking about 420amps). I was not charged a core fee and Joel took the time to switch it out. The latter I was so appreciative, not only because I didn't have to risk breaking a nail but have you seen the spacing (or lack thereof) in a Jeep? Its a tight squeeze relative to riding the H line during rush hour. Seriously, it was a busy weekend and that Joel took 20min of the afternoon to switch out the battery meant a great deal to me. Advance provides FREE testing of batteries, starters and alternators, install with purchase of battery or wiper blades, battery and motor oil recycling (oh yeah!) and loaner tools with deposit. Troy is just an all-around unfriendly person that never taught me anything. He's super hostile, not in his words but in his body language. The look in his eyes screams that he wants to take his stress out on me. James, on the other hand, is someone I had nothing but respect for during almost my entire stay there except for my last week, where I lost most of it in him. He is extremely judgemental with the way he breathes down the neck of his employees. Same goes for Troy. Even early in the morning when I am pulling my car in and parking, James is giving me crap by calling me a terrible driver, which, okay, I can take that, because I am, but all I was doing was fixing my damn parking. I'm not even clocked in, and you're gonna talk down to me like that? Then on multiple occasions, he starts saying some offhanded comments like, "Man, how do you pay attention in school?" I have ADD, Attention Deficit Disorder, and he thinks I can learn a new skill just by observing it once and not even going over it step-by-step. That's not how the human mind works. I even told him during my job interview that I quit college due to COVID and online classes, but he doesn't remember that and is somehow criticizing me. Great. "What are you doing standing there with your arms crossed?!" That was when Andrew Johnson and I already frontfaced and cleaned the store around 5:00 PM while James wasn't there, so what did he want us to do? Frontface again? Pretend to work? I'm type 1 diabetic, and I am entitled to take a break whenever I please, but he thinks I'm willing to put my life at risk for this job, which I absolutely will not. Speaking of pretending to work, another thing that pisses me off about AutoZone is how whoever does the planograms forces us to change the price labels and/or price changes every week. Haven't you heard the old adage that you shouldn't fix something that isn't broken? And who is leaving so few employees working on Sunday, our busiest day of the week? I was afraid I was going to have to play the "helpless woman" card and ask them to change the battery for me, but he tested it first to verify the battery needed to be replaced, showed me my options without pushing me toward one or the other and then just went right out to change it. Took about 15 minutes total from when I got there, including a little extra thing he said he has to do anytime he changes a battery. And, unlike everything else these days, they don't ask for a tip when you check out, although you would think they could/would since they do actually perform a service for you.

This place advertises on the gas price sign that they sell it. They fuel types they sell are: Diesel, Unleaded Ethanol Free, Unleaded, Unleaded Plus, and Super Unleaded. I haven't been inside the store because I don't need anything. I'm sure it has the same stuff as other convenience stores attached to a gas station!
