I even went to a doctor who confirmed the pain was caused by the shoes, and I have a medical report to prove it. When I tried to return them within five days, they refused, even though they're legally required to accept returns for defective items! Now, I'm planning to take them to court for not honoring their customer service commitments and selling poor-quality products. I needed to get a last minute Christmas gift for my girlfriend, and I had the great luck of meeting Katie King who was able to pick out some classic heels that would make her eyes light up. The first shoe that I picked was not in store, but Katie called another store and was able to overnight it to the store so I could pick up the next day. It was painless, and after worrying if I was going to pick the right thing or not, Katie made the selection seamless asking me questions about her lifestyle (85 mm) because she walks for a large part of her day. The next day, she called me to say it arrived, and I went to pick it up. She wrapped it in red ribbon, and then I went to the men's which is on the second floor and had neglected my first visit. While I love many of this designer's styles in shoes, I don't always find comfort. The boutique is small and glitzy and the staff brings the expected snooty, cool demeanor. While I probably own more pairs of CL shoes at full price than the staff, they always seem to feel the need to show a superiority over the customers. OK...Let me first say I own a few pair of CL's BUT I typically purchase them at Department Stores, like Neiman Marcus, Saks or Barneys and I NOW SEE WHY!! The free standing stores return policy sucks! Came here on lunch for what I thought would be a simple return.....I purchased a pair of boots, didn't wear them, only modeled them at home, but I did not like the way they creased at the ankle. It looked weird to me and I figured over time the boots would wear in that area because of the constant creasing.The shoes have been in my closet, like I said unworn, so I finally venture back down to CL on Oak and they tell me about this dumb ass policy that I don't recall them mentioning. I mean they give you 10 days to return a pair of $1200 boots and then you only get a store credit or exchange?!?! What if I don't want another shoe from that particular store? We all know that CL inventory varies by stores. So Neimans or Barneys may have a shoe that the CL boutique do not carry and vise versa so why can't I get my money back if I change my mind to go and buy another shoe somewhere else?!? This policy remind me of the Oriental owned store refund policies (i.e., Akira) that I so hate much and the main reason I don't shop at their stores. I mean like what ultra upscale brand does this for unworn merchandise with a receipt?!? I soooo wanted to enjoy this store, but it's a little too stodgy for me! This was not my first visit and I have to say the service sucks! First, the ringing of a doorbell to enter the store is very........extra. Once inside the store, I always get half glimpses from the sales staff. I was greeted on one of my visits, but to be honest, I had on a pair of Louboutins and was dressed pretty nice. On this visit, I was dressed very casual and no one greeted me or asked if they can help me. I just felt so not wanted and I'm pretty sure I was the only customer in the store. Love the brand but rarely like the stores. When you want an amazing pair of shoes that will stop traffic... you have to get a pair of Christian Louboutin heels. Always stylish and beautiful, they make any outfit amazing. When I want to buy them though, I rather buy them online or through Neiman Marcus. The reason is because I have never been in a Christian Louboutin store where the sales people were helpful or nice. But there was one sales associate that made my experience so incredible that I had to write one. Her name is Katie King. I own over 14 pairs of these beautiful shoes and love love love them. I am an absolute shoe lover, come check out my closet. So this place only gets one stars. I would rate it negative but the way Yelp is set up... Customer service is the worst! These people judge you by the way you look and that's a big NO. All of these sales people were chatting away behind the cash register. I shouldn't have to ask YOU to help ME, if i am spending $1000.00 + on a shoe, you come to me and you ask me how i can be helped. 2. Don't make little side comments because if i remember correctly, if it wasn't for paying customer's like MYSELF you wouldn't be cashing a paycheck. So i would need everyone to keep their little non solicited comments to themselves. 3. I placed a shoe on hold with a very nice girl on the phone and when i walked in, a black guy that previously sold a shoe to me, decided that he can have this sale too. I completely disliked him when he sold me a previous pair so that's why when i called to place the shoe on hold, i made sure to ask if she can help me when i come in. Why would you take someone else's sale. I am not your customer and the way i was treated by him was not acceptable. Dismissive, rude etc. He didn't even speak with me, all he did was bring a shoe and stared at me. 4. Know your product. I shouldn't have to tell you what shoes you have and what shoes you don't. I shouldn't have to tell you how many mm a specific shoe came. I have that shoe that i am talking about at home, so please tell me again "We never made that shoe". I went in to try on shoes for my wedding, and it just went downhill from there. You have to ring a freaking doorbell to get in, which is a bit snobby in the first place, but whatever. I asked to try on a pair of gorgeous heels, and one of the attendants got them for me, and the only size they had was a half size below what I normally wear. I really wanted to disprove the other negative reviews I've read about this store, but they were all spot on. I went in to try on a pair of heels in a different size than I had recently purchased to see if a slightly larger size would be more comfortable. I had done my research, knew exactly which types of heels would stretch over time and which wouldn't, and how realistically comfortable a pair of 100 mm's would be. The two SA's (one redheaded woman and another asian man) were INCREDIBLY condescending and not listening at all to what I was saying. They insisted that the discomfort was just "part of the shoe" and they "couldn't let me leave in good conscience in a shoe that would slip off". They thought if I sized up, I would look like "a little girl playing dress up in their mom's heels". Are you joking? I only wear 4+ inch heels. I'm pretty sure I can gauge if a heel fits or not. Disgusted, I promptly left to go to Neiman Marcus where the SA was incredibly knowledgeable, knew my exact problem, and encouraged me to size up with the help of a foot pad to prevent sliding, confirming my decision. Don't ruin your experience of buying these stunning shoes by going into this store. Buying CL's should be an amazing experience, not tainted by condescending salespeople who have no listening capacity. Don't let them talk you into buying or keeping a pair of shoes that are painful, because guess what? You won't wear them and will be $700+ poorer. Go to Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom 10/10. I stopped into this store as soon as they opened on a Sunday. The staff was extremely helpful in helping me choose a shoe within the 10 minute crunch I was in. Had to order a different pair of shoes than ordered from online boutique. Spoke with Kyle at the store, was very nice, checked inventory and sent their little contract that you have to sign in order for them to ship the shoes from the retail store. Store shipped to my billing address which is a UPS store, and the online boutique refused to do so, which is strange seeing as how UPS is their contracted carrier. Anyway, Kyle got the completed form, called me and then sent an order confirmation and received tracking info later in the afternoon. Great service, better than online. Louboutin has a stupid policy where if someone buys you a gift online, you have to return it to the online store and the gift giver has to buy you a new gift. You can't exchange for a new size. When calling the online store, they were super rude. I was expecting the same at the store and couldn't have been more wrong. I went in asking if I could just try on a few pairs to find my size and told them why. Even though they knew I wasn't buying directly from them, they were very nice in helping me figure out sizing. I'm from California and when coming to Chicago this is the store I HAVE TO STOP BY AT! The closest Christian Louboutin store to me is Las Vegas. Unfortunately though, this store doesn't have much of a selection compared to other Loubuotin stores. The sales associates here are very nice though. I will be back again. Horrible first time ever Christian Louboutin purchase experience. I contacted CL customer service for help finding a store with the Belle ankle boot because their online site was out of my size. They emailed back with the CL boutique in Chicago on Oak Street's email and phone number stating that they appeared to have what I needed. Everything started out well. They had the boot, I completed the contract, requested gift wrap since this was a gift to myself, made payment and was informed that I would receive an email with tracking after 6pm the following evening. I waited 2 1/2 days and tried to contact the store because I received no tracking information. First I emailed - no response. I then called and they said my SA was assisting a client so I left a message with the person who answered the phone to have my SA call me back and gave her my number. I never heard anything. For 2 days, I tried calling and no one would even answer the phone. I then contacted CL customer service again asking them for help getting in touch with my SA in Chicago because everything I tried was NOT working. Customer service responded with an apology and said that they contacted the store and will stay on top of the situation. Later that afternoon, I called the store again and this time got my SA. She said that the boots shipped out the day after my order. She found my paperwork and voila - the city and zip were incorrectly labeled on the box (although it was correct on my contract). I was sent the tracking number and sure enough, it was sent, but the box was heading back to their store! I was advised that they would have to wait for the package to get back to their store and they would re-send. A week goes by and I'm still waiting. The store is still waiting - no boots. Now a claim has to be made and UPS has to deem the package as lost before CLB-Chicago, Oak St. can ship another pair. Now - they are having to order another pair in my size and hold for standby in case the originally mailed boots don't come back. Texts are sent back and forth to whom I thought was my SA, but now - I'm not sure who exactly was on the other side of the texts. During these texts, I'm learning more and more. My frustrations build, especially because I was informed that the newly ordered boots were a floor model that didn't meet new specs and that another pair would need to be ordered. Finally, UPS decides that the original boots are indeed lost and now the store can ship the other pair overnight. Finally, after 16 days I receive my boots. Not sure what gift wrap means to them, but my box just had a red ribbon wrapped around the box. Inside the box were the boots in good, new condition but no CL Thank You envelope(s) that I've known others to get with their new CL's. Nor have I received a follow-up email or call. For the $$$ spent, repeated lack of communication, and not answering or returning calls from the store, inability to correctly label the UPS box, box getting lost and feeling like I was the one being penalized for the labeling inaccuracy and having to wait for UPS and authorization from company to send me a new pair - I should have been treated much better. To err is human and was very patient and understanding; even when they wouldn't answer the phone, return my calls or emails. But it got ridiculous. When I opened my box, unfortunately I had lost quite a bit of the excitement an even more so when the box wasn't gift wrapped and my Thank You envelope(s) were non-existent. :,( read more

The experience was so great that I decided to purchase my very 1st pair of Loubie's while visiting...and I owe it all to our sales associate Darnell. He truly went above and beyond to find me the exact shoe that I wanted. And when my girlfriend decided on buying a pair as well, but her size couldn't be found, Darnell somehow worked his magic and found her that shoe!! So, we ended up both walking out the door with red soles in hand!! The memory of buying my 1st pair of Christian Louboutins is something that I will never forget!! -Staff never greeted when we first walked in to this store. No hello no welcome nobody asked if I need help. ( i still went and picked shoes and asked for help. I can tell it's a poor management style) - don't have enough shoes in their stockroom( you are a business and know what shoes are popular how come 5-6 styles are out of stock?) - associate ordered online from a different store, it has been 3 weeks now and shoes haven't arrived yet ( Usps and ups and fedex work pretty fast usually, even the least expensive usps delivery takes 5-7 business days. I wonder if shoes are coming from China? ) I truly lost the desire to have a pair of red bottoms now and I believe I will be returning shoes when they arrive. They have 2 weeks return policy but they are not delivering shoes within that time frame. Absurd! Update: after 4 weeks waiting shoes in the mail. I have to admit that I was not as excited to put them on as I'd expect. However I got a tremendous customer service experience from Lee (boutique leadership team) she has been following up on all updates she's been receiving from UPS- who initially lost the shoes.
