We stopped by this place today for breakfast. My husband had the ham and chesse scrambler and I had a light side half waffle with one egg over med and one piece of bacon. First of all I ordered coffee and it was delicious, except for no one came back to refill for 25 min. It took almost 40 minutes to get our breakfast that were both not only cold but the egg had been cooked to well done with all yolk being cooked out of it. It appeared to have been broken prior to fipping. When the waitress brought it she too noticed and aaked if I would like a fresh made one that was made correctly. I told her I would appreciate that so she went to put the order in and I never seen here again until we got up to pay 20 min later, Then she noticed us. Never offered to discount it and we had to tell the man at the cash register who took 2 dollars off. This place is usually a good place to eat. We have been here before with friends when it has been so crowded that you can barely walk through. This time however the restaurant was about half full so I never expected to be so poorly waited on. However we did only see one woman and one man working the froor. So poor management and timing from the kitchen and possibly a cook with out caring or lack of skill to make proper and warm food. So between the kitchen and the waitress and waiter getting food out we were VERY disappointed!!!!!! read more

This place was a hidden gem, the quiche was decadent and filling, very pleased with the quality of ingredients and the atmosphere was casual, relaxed, and friendly. This has become our go-to for a yummy breakfast in Redmond. Fast service, an adorable dining area, and scrumptious food has made this a restaurant we go to at least twice a month, beating out Black Bear (gross). I usually get the Biscuits and Gravy or French Toast but recently tried the Eggs Benedict and was blown away. The hollandaise was SO good! I wish they had more benedict options like CHOW and the Victorian. Haven't had lunch there yet (the breakfast is too good) but can't wait to try it! read more

Great for breakfast/brunch. I was passing through Redmond and ended up at Christie's for brunch. I had the #8 and my friend had the #1 and we both enjoyed the food. Unless you are really hungry, I would recommend their lighter dishes. The portions for the regular breakfast plates were pretty generous. Good atmosphere and lovely waitstaff. We had breakfast this morning for Valentine's Day and was very disappointed in the very greasy food. I had the Garys special omelette which tasted like everything was fried on the same grill with not very clean oils. My partner had a pancake two eggs and three pieces of Bacon. Hours: 7am to 2pm Tues. thru Sun (closed Mon.) Wow!!! What a nice place, good food and excellent service. If I heard the waitress correctly this place has been open now for 4 months. It has a far better breakfast than that other place a few blocks away. This restaurant is located in an old existing house that has been completely remodeled inside with a very comfortable and inviting decor. I ordered the #1 on the menu which is 2 eggs, potatoes & toast with a choice of bacon, sausage, links or Kielbasa. I chose the bacon, eggs OE, wheat toast, side of gravy and coffee. The coffee is good....the breakfast arrived promptly after order-up and was hot. The eggs were cooked OE but the ample helping of potatoes were not cooked all the way through. The potatoes are a thicker square cut of hashbrowns and this may have been why they were not fully cooked. One slice of very thick toast cut in half and buttered with one very deep tub of raspberry jelly on the side. 4 slices of very good medium thick bacon. The side of gravy came in a good sized vessel that was an ample enough amount to cover the hashbrowns. The gravy is a very mild sausage gravy that needs to be kicked up a notch. I saw one customer get the biscuits and gravy which was a full order and a plate full. The customer immediately dashed Tabasco all over the gravy which is an indicator of blandness. The waitress never let the coffee cup get down more than half and was also very attentive to all customers. The main breakfast that I ordered was $7.95, the side of gravy was $2 and the coffee was $1.25 for a total of $11.20 which, for the amount of food I got, is a good price. I will be back and if I'm in Redmond this will be my place for breakfast. I will be interested in trying lunch there next time. One word of caution: If you step up to the station where you pay your bill, do not look to your left at the pie case. You will be hard pressed to walk away without one of Christie's very own home made pies. I did only because I had breakfast....but wished I had snagged a Marionberry slice for my lunch later. read more

Went with a friend for lunch on his recommendation. He is a regular there for breakfast and the wait staff know him by name. He had a French Dip and I had the Reuben. Both were excellent. Sides were great. Price is very fair. The wait staff are attentive and friendly. Would I go there again. In a word, YES! read more

I'm resisting the urge to give 5 stars only because the meal wasn't truly 'unique'. However, I will absolutely recommend Christie's Kitchen because they are just so competent. The food was well prepared and the seasoning wasn't over the top. This is a very good value for a nice breakfast and we will definitely return. The service is above average for friendly, courteous and efficient which is remarkable (to me anyway) here in central Oregon. I have gotten so used to lousy service in Bend/Redmond. read more

I would have to say this was the worse service and food I have ever had! We waited at least 15 mins before we even got brought the menu. After that we waited 10 more mins for drink. Finally took our order, it was over 40 mins before we got our food. The ppl next to us sat after us and ordered after us and got their food before us. My food was stone COLD, my eggs and hash-browns COLD, I said something and they literally warmed my plate and brought it back to me!! Gross! Who wants warmed eggs! No sorry no nothing! Our waitress didn't even come back to check on ur after our food I had to find someone which also means we didn't get refills! We had drank our drinks while waiting over an hour and then had nothing with our food!!! read more

We sat outside. It was so nice the trees kept it well shaded. I had the Denver omelet with pancakes. The omelet was very flavorful. My husband got the chicken fried stake and just went on about how good it was the whole time he was eating it. It was an over all good experience and I look forward to eating there again. read more

Came here on my honeymoon. Love the decor and there's plenty of seating compared to the parking availability in the neighborhood. The server was a polite and friendly lady who was just the right amount of attentive and giving some newlyweds space. The food prices were very reasonable considering the portion sizes! My wife devoured her French toast, but had difficulty polishing it off because the portion was so generous and tasty. I enjoyed my eggs and potatoes and sausage. We were looking forward to trying this cute little place based on the positive reviews. The atmosphere is homey and casual, which we liked. But the food is MEH. We ordered the veggie topped has browns with black beans, It was dry and flavorless. It definitely needed salsa, cheese, or an egg on top. When we tried to order an ala carte egg, we were told the kitchen was closed (at 2:07 pm). The burger was just a standard burger. Nothing special, and not $10 good. It was also pretty gross when the servers touches your silverware with dirty hands and did nothing to wipe off the food left from previous customers in the creamer bowl. Went the Christie's on Saturday morning as the beginning of date day with my bride. It was our 2nd time going. Do not remember what I had the first time but this time I had the biskits and gravy. It was much better than what One Street serves, and I enjoy the atmosphere at Christie's. The service is prompt, the staff is attentive, friendly and polite. We've been to Christie's many times because she makes really good American breakfast. Stopped in last Sunday morning at about 10 am just as a rush was starting and the two of us got seated in a few minutes outside on the nice patio. While waiting to be seated we noticed a special "tomato bacon avocado Benedict" and we both decided to try it instead of the delicious pork cutlet with homemade hash browns and country gravy or Christie's wonderful biscuits and gravy. We're glad we try this Benedict because it was one of the tastiest eggs Benedict dish variations either of us have had with two English muffin topped with tomato slices, bacon, and rich but not too lemony Hollandaise with a full half avocado nestled between. Oh man! Homemade hash browns on the side completed a fantastic meal. Great job Christy. Sorry, wish I had thought to take a pic. read more
