This is my go to place for a genuine lunch. I've tried their salads and sandwiches--were happy with both. The facilities are clean and the service is professional with a small town feel. Their breakfasts are good, especially the potatoes, but the ham on the Eggs Benedict needs improvement. So fluffy and rich. This place was really close to our Airbnb, which is the primary reason why we chose it. Extremely pleased with the food and service! After reading the reviews on the food I decided to give it a try. After being sat it took the server almost 10 minutes to even come and get my drink order. I could understand if it was busy but there were two servers on and only 5 tables. Then the server came by and asked what would I like and that was it. I only saw her once more during my visit and that was when my food was dropped off, coffee refilled, and check dropped all at once. She never checked back on me, not once. My benny was good but one of the eggs was well poached, not what I like but I still ate it cause no one ever came by. First visit here and it will probably be my last. read more

Oh my goodness this place does not disappoint! I had the bacon tomato avocado eggs Benedict that was cooked to perfection and the hashbrowns were absolutely some of the best I've ever had! It is a breath of fresh air to find such an adorable, clean, respectable place in Redmond. The atmosphere is lovely, the people are very friendly, everything is clean and the food is good! My husband, son and I have only eaten here once but our food was served in a timely manner, it was tasty and the service was great. Our son is under two and has the typical attention span of his age. He sometimes is noisy and messy, there was NEVER any doubt that he was welcome here. Christie herself checked us out after our meal and was very pleasant. We will without a doubt be back. Pleasant atmosphere (bright, airy old Craftsman house), fast and friendly service, and really good food. My companions had breakfast (perfectly cooked eggs and corned beef hash) and I went with a veggie stir fry. Everything was fresh and vibrant, several notches above standard diner fare. Well, thought we'd wanted to like it. The halibut in my fish and chips plate was factory food......yup. No mistaking that. Wow, not good! I could tell instantly because the two small portions of fish were too uniform and neatly encased in batter. Seen the similar battered halibut from Costco but that was better than this. One section of a fish stick like piece of halibut was cold, clearly indicating it had not been thoroughly RE-HEATED..... I used to work in the restaurant biz front and back end. I will spare the readers most of my professional analysis/commentary. It wouldn't be flattering. As a patron (in this case one time patron) I am offended to receive factory made food. Buyer beware. My wife's half a turkey sandwich with a tiny bowl of soup was okay, nothing to return for at $9. There were many other miscues from the start. Here's just one more: The server approached us soon after we sat down then stood there waiting for us to order right away! Giddyup! Really....We had an idea before we came in so it spared us the needless request "would you give us a moment?" Do we have to ask?? This is a odd business model for sure. I get what the owner is going for here. It shortchanges the customer in many areas. Oh and no beer or wine. I can guess one reason but that was odd. There are other options in Redmond and we will certainly take advantage of those. This place is certainly not worthy of our $ ever again, nor a recommendation or good review anywhere and I am writing them. Good luck future patrons. LOL read more

However there was something off about the atmosphere; maybe it was the fact that the servers/hostess seemed unhappy, or the fact that the tables were cramped. You either do Biscuits and gravy right, or you dont. This place is right on target, and they do BnG Right!!! They even have GF French toast with warm syrup (that I was told from a well known source) is out of this world, crazy good. Holy smokes the food is freaking fantastic and the portion sizes......Wow! If you leave hungry it's your own damn fault. The service is right on time, even being as busy as they are. If you're looking for GREAT home cooking, look no further, I found the place for you. We attempted to have Father's day breakfast at Christies Kitchen. It was super busy and they sat us at a table in the entry way. Waiting customers were standing next to the table bumping into us while wind blasted us as the front door opened and shut. Passing through town and stopped for breakfast, huge portion and was delicious. Most of us had the pork cutlet and it was amazing.

My husband and I both had positive experiences here and have been back more than once. The food is the typical american fare but the quality is definitely above average. I had the chicken fried steak today and the gravy was amazing--and I'm not really a fan of gravy. The hubs had scramble and he was able to eat the whole thing! The portion sizing is on the larger side but there's a "lighter fare" part of the menu if you don't want to eat as much. I should also add there's a vegan and gluten free menu as well for those who need it. The service here was warm and friendly, we dropped in around 10:00AM. I especially like the upstairs as it was quiet and a little warmer than the downstairs. Overall we enjoyed our outing here and will be back again in the near future! read more

My wife and I just learned that the prior owners of the Country Nook own this place and it was not hard to decide where we would dine. Their food is excellent as always and it was such a treat to get the same friendly service as before. If you want a good clean, down home friendly place to eat out, you will love this place. I especially love the country fried steak. Everything is just like home cooked. My coffee never got even half empty before our waitress was there to refill it and it was great. My husband and I stopped in for breakfast the other day. It was a beautifully sunny day and the garden was a perfect place to eat! We didn't go into the house part at all. The atmosphere in the garden is five stars. Peaceful. I had the breaded pork cutlet and my husband had the chicken fried steak. We also ordered a half size biscuits and gravy to try. The food was lukewarm but didn't taste terrible. I didn't enjoy the gravy at all. It was completely bland. I might return for coffee in the garden but probably will skip breakfast. read more

we've been going here for a couple years and usually would start our weekend with sat. breakfast here. food has always been very good. unfortunately on our last visit the pork cutlet was only a third of it's normal portion and our favorite server had been let go for no apparent reason. it was nice and friendly till recently and maybe the owners are just ready to retire again. sorry to have to move on to a new breakfast place. the restaurant is very clean and small and intimate. read more
