We were visiting my daughter and son-in-law, and they had a place that they wanted to try out with us. I looked on Yelp, and it had great reviews, so we were definitely interested in going. Upon arrival, we got a great parking spot and headed into an uncrowded restaurant. We were met immediately and taken to a table against the far wall. Menus delivered quickly, and finding out we had never been to this location, our waitress gave us plenty of time to review the options. Asked about what she would recommend, she said it was all good. We ordered an appetizer called Wagon Wheel. It's a fried cheese wheel of cheddar, gouda, and parmesan. It's sprinkled with bacon, green onions, and has a dollop of jalapeno cream cheese in the middle. It sort of looks like a thin pizza. We all loved it! The restaurant is kind of a gourmet burger place and everyone besides me ordered that. I saw that they offered a country fried wagu steak, and I ordered that. It came with garlic cream potatoes, honey-bourbon baked beans, and a cornbread pancake. The food came out quickly and was just as everyone ordered. The others in the party enjoyed their food, and I really, really, really liked mine (I would order again). The only complaints were about the seasoning. It seemed like the chef forget it on all of our meals. The only other complaint had to do with the extreme heat in the guy's restroom. Will I return? We rode out here for lunch to try these "gourmet burgers with attitude," and yeah... they're not lying. We grabbed the Glazed & Confused (solid 8/10), the Smokey & The Bandit (easy 9/10), and the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich (8.5/10). All were stacked, sauced, and worth the trip. Sidewinder fries, sweet potato fries, and the okra all slapped. Special shout-out to the okra--hard fried, not soggy. That's a hill I'll die on. Already planning our next ride back. Nice casual place! Been twice. This time i had a burger. Tasty. Fries. Could have been hotter were room temp. And i pile hot food to be hot. I would go back. Great lunch experience. They had so many creative burger options it was tough to decide. Me and Mrs Picky spilt the regular cheeseburger with cheddar cheese. The waitress was friendly and fast. Kept the drinks filled and never had to ask for anything. I try to not eat too many carbs and really enjoyed the wagon wheel fried cheese quesadillas. Jaspers is a little gem off of Highway 377 in between Stephenville and Bluff Dale. We live in Bluff Dale so it's close by and have been here bunch of times. The foods always been great. Delicious food at this cafe! My son recommended it to me. The cafe is pretty large for a local small business, with a patio and quite a few tables. Our server was very attentive. I loved the country western decor and the location has beautiful views. The food was great. We started with the mozzarella sticks & fried pickles. I had the Yellowjacket. Jasper's is great. The burgers are fun and interesting with so many choices--from more exotic meat options (elk, buffalo, etc) to countless toppings. Fries are fantastic, too. Food... had the chicken fried steak, grilled zucchini and onion, garlic potatoes and the corn pancake. Everything was EXCELLENT!!!. My wife had the same thing, so only one view on food. Serving looks small, but it is more than enough. Too full to try the dessert. Looking forward to going back but may just reorder the same thing. Well worth the 90 minute drive from Fort Worth. We decided to try Jasper's Cafe for our anniversary. We're relatively new to the area and looking for a new place to that was going to be open past 8. Although they serve a lot of burgers, the entrees looked really good. Interior isn't showy but it's comfortable. Our waitress, Harley, was wonderful! Happy, polite, knowledgeable about the menu, responsive. Like I said, wonderful. I opted for the elk medallions andy wife opted for the salmon. Quail medallions as appetizers. The quail came out and was crisp and very well seasoned, but the meat was still moist. Outstanding! My elk was served medium rare, as ordered, and again,vwas great! Flavorful, tender cooked just right, and I rarely order grilled meat out, 'cause they rarely get it right. Jasper's got it right. My wife's salmon was also perfectly cooked and seasoned well. Reuben sandwich was excellent as was the service. Server had great personality and was very welcoming. Had the Jiffy burger made with peanut butter and jelly which I had to give it a try. went for the first time today for Mother's Day. The burgers were amazing, the chips and queso were all homemade. they had a special today, Banana Bread French Toast. We had an order and shared it at our table. The cook came out to greet everyone and wish all the moms a Happy Mothers Day. also checked to see how our food was. We were visting Bluff Dale Texas and saw some reviews on Google and Yelp about Jasper's Cafe so decided to give them a try. We showed up a little after 7pm on Sunday, and there was a short wait which was nice. The Cafe appeared to be clean, and the servers were also helpful with trying to make suggestions of what is a fan favorite. I purchased the Patty melt with a 10 oz patty with all the toppings. My wife had the Bourbon bacon burger. We also purchased fries and onion rings. Plus 2 soft drinks. All this cost a little over $33. Everything was pretty good the only thing that would have made it perfect was the burgers didn't seem to have any seasoning ,but other then that all was good. We look forward to more visits in the future and trying out other items on the menu. read more

My husband saw this online as one of Texas's Bucket List places. It was one of the first places we went after moving to Granbury. The building is charming & quaint. Looks like it had a recent makeover. The waiter was prompt & courteous. We're from the Midwest, so we're always on the lookout for pizza that reminds us from home. & we're quite picky. Haha! This pizza was good! Very good, but still not quite the same. The sauce & cheese were great! We also ordered a Buffalo Bill burger, but with Wagyu beef instead of Buffalo so they called it a Kobe Bill instead & it was delicious! Highly recommend. Saturday drive brought us to this unexpected and wonderful Burger place with a fantastic view. Definitely worth the daytrip from Fort Worth I can't even describe how good this place is. My "Little Yellow Jacket" burger had fried smoked gouda on it, Myyyyy Lord. Husband had a "3:10 to Jasper Burger," spicy but balanced. Everything was fresh and top quality. Try the potsticker appetizer and DO NOT miss the fries. I don't want to gush, but daaang. Also loved the onion rings, but THOSE FRIES. They also have elk, bison, and axis deer burgers. Ribeyes were on the chalkboard for Saturday night. Wish we could have stayed around for that. I'd like to come back when the weather is cooler to take advantage of the wide porch that looks out over the countryside. The service was friendly and casual but very efficient.
