This is a family-owned boutique winery right in the heart of Elk Grove. I really like the location: it gives you a similar Lodi/Galt winery vibe without the long drive. The cellar sits right off the main street, so there's no extended scenic road leading in like some other wineries. Parking: Available within the complex, with overflow at the Montessori school across the street, plus street parking. The 5-acre vineyard isn't large enough to fully support their production, and according to staff, they source grapes from Lodi wineries. The space is great for small to medium-sized events: perfect for intimate weddings or gatherings. There's a live music area and a rustic barn that makes for nice photo ops. They've been voted "Best Wine Tasting in Elk Grove" and have also won awards at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. They also offer three membership tiers: 3, 6, or 12 bottles per shipment, starting at $75. Their best-selling (members-only) wine is the Picpoul Blanc, which apparently sells out immediately upon release. One thing that stands out is the detailed labeling on their bottles: they include aging time in the cellar, suggested expiration year, and pairing recommendations. It's very beginner-friendly and helpful. Another unique touch is their Zinfandel ("Zoofandel"), featuring a tiger on the label: a nod to the (now-canceled) plan to relocate the Sacramento Zoo to Elk Grove, which was officially scrapped in April 2025 due to rising construction costs. Downside: The restrooms (2 total) could use improvement. They feel outdated; one was out of soap, and the other doubles as a shower room and had an unpleasant odor, as if it wasn't cleaned thoroughly. Overall, this is a solid choice if you're looking for a convenient, local wine tasting experience without having to travel far.

What a hidden gem! We came on a Saturday and luckily there were plenty available seats outside. There is also a standing area in the nicely air-conditioned barn where the wine tasting happens! So you have options! The service was top notch! We got the flight of white wines and she let us sample the on tap wine and it was delicious!!!! We had to buy it! She was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. We really enjoyed our time there. We ended up buying a couple bottles as well. I only wish they had more sparkling wines as they only had one (and not available for tasting). But otherwise I will definitely be back!!!!!

Christopher Cellars has such an intimate, charming vineyard setting that feels perfect to visit in any season. Whether it's a warm summer evening or a cozy fall afternoon, the atmosphere is relaxed, scenic, and welcoming. It's the kind of place where you can truly unwind and enjoy great wine in a beautiful outdoor space. They also host live music on select evenings, which adds such a fun and lively touch to the experience. It makes each visit feel special and a little different every time. I can't wait to return again soon!

Headline: Another great EG winery! Location: Located off Bradshaw across the road from a Montessori School is this lowkey Winery. It can be easy to miss but don't let that fool you behind the big barn is a great winery. The winery itself housed inside the same room which they house the winery. They have seating both inside and on the back side of the winery. Service: Whether here for an event or just wine tasting, the staff has always been great and friendly. Christopher likes to hosts events and that's often my experience with this place Wine/Food: While this place doesn't do food itself, they have food trucks quite often. They have had various events here for musicians, yelp, and other events which have a tendency to have some sort of food option. Regarding the wine, they have a wide set of varietals for those groups that have a wide variety of tastes. Also during the summer they have wine slushies as well as mocktails. Definitely worth checking out to if you are into a wide variety of wines or if they are hosting a local event!

Totally recommend Christopher Cellars. The patio view are wonderful for a day with the girls or evening out with spouse. I highly encourage you to visit during one of their hosted events as there may be food vendors available, a cigar night and live music! Come out, support the place and I would try their Sauvignon Blanc; it's my favorite bright tasting white wine they offer. Oh, the staff are super knowledgeable and helpful, too! FYI Their bottles come with wine pairing option labels on the bottle.

I originally found this place through an event. Really loved it and been back multiple times ever since. Not only do they have really good wines, definitely do not sleep on the wine slushies! The place is beautiful, and the service is amazing always friendly always above and beyond~ Their wine slushy flavors do rotate seasonally so you can always expect something new to try! During the previous season, they had a strawberry mango wine slushy that's absolutely delicious. And a sun bum white wine slushie that is perfect for summer. Now that the weather is getting slightly cooler, the new seasonal flavor cranberry orange wine slushy is my new favorite. Since I've been back multiple times, I've had the opportunity to try a few different ways. During my first return, I tried the wine flight which is beautifully arranged and nicely organized so you know what you're tasting. From my other returning visits, I got the melange balance and Sangiovese. Both are delicious. Typically on Fridays, there are food trucks at the winery so you can buy a snack with your drink. On Saturday and Sundays, you can purchase their delicious dips and chips by Boulevard bistro. I especially like the tomato ricotta one. The winery is really beautiful and when the weather is not too hot, it's so nice to sit outside with a view. During hotter times I was able to sit inside where there's AC. I like visiting when it's not too busy so I can take my time sip on a delicious glass and do some light reading. This is a perfect place to take it slow and enjoy life~ I look forward to more visits to come~

Comedy Night at the Cellar Saturday night was so fun. Great line up, food and of course wine. Will be back!

    Yummy Cabernet!

What a fun night at live comedy night! They had the patio set up perfectly with lights, seating, and dining under the stars. Guests could order delicious LA OG sausages, and the food and wine made the evening even better. It was such a fun, family-friendly atmosphere with lots of laughs and great energy all around.

This place is wonderful! I loved all the wine optons-- there was something for everyone's preferences. They gave me plenty of tastings. The food was amazing! The little crackers and dips were addicting. The poke tostada things from the food truck were surprisingly tasty for someone who doesn't like fish. The music, vibes, and atmosphere were perfect. It was nice and cool in the cellar, and they had yummy wine slushies. The vocalist/guitar player was superb-- a very talented man. This was one of my first Yelp events and everyone was so friendly and social. Definitely coming back in the near future.

We attended a lovely event at CC which included wine tasting and food pairings, featuring several local food vendors. Staff was friendly and welcoming, sharing information about the venue and the offerings. Live music made the evening fun and relaxing. The excellent wine is worth the trip anytime!

This place is a hidden gem! Came here for my first Yelp Elite event and I was so glad this was my first time. The winery hosted their wines and other wine brands (Heleje and Perlegos) and had areas set up for tastings. The inside of their winery was quaint and we were able to sample wines inside the barrels which was a very cool experience to learn about the process. Also, their wines were really good especially their Picpoul Blanc. The service was great too! They were kind, helpful and checked in to make sure we were taken care of. The entire experience was so fun. We enjoyed good music, great food from West Taco Truck and Boulevard Bistro and great wine with fellow yelpers. Can't wait to visit this place again!

We came here on a Friday afternoon around 4pm. It wasn't that busy, but there was live music about to start. There's plenty of outdoor seating and small amount of seats inside. The wines were mostly fruity but just bland. There wasn't complexity. The tasting fee was $10 for 5 wines. There were annoying fruit flies flying around the tasting room. Looks dog friendly. Sparkling Barbera- ok Chardonnay- not typical taste, fruity Zinfandel Cuvee- fruity, bland Nebbiolo- fruity , bland Cab- Fruity but bland

Love this place. We have been members for 2 years now. Great Friday night hang out and unwind to start the weekend. Loved the Thursday night dinner series last summer. Sangiovese is dope! Love their Rose.

They even offer boating and paddleboarding, which adds a fun, active touch to the experience. Parking: Free with a decent number of spots for around 100 guests, but it could feel congested for larger events. There's only one way to in and out, so plan accordingly. Also, the road leading to the vineyard is quite dark at night: some areas have little to no lighting, so make sure your headlights are working well, especially since it's a bit of a drive from the main street. Drinks: Some of their popular options include: * Peach Mango Sparkling (11%, Lodi) * Zinfandel 2024 (15.6%, Lodi) * Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2019 (14%, Lodi) * Pomegranate Sparkling (11%, Lodi) They offer picnic snack trays, and for events, they bring in food trucks, which is a nice touch. Service: Friendly and efficient. One downside was staffing and restroom access. It seemed like they were a bit understaffed, and only 2 restrooms were open while others were locked. For an event with around 100 people, this led to long lines, especially in the cold. The event itself was held in a white outdoor tent by the lake, which created a great atmosphere. However, the path to the tent is all gravel with no defined walkway, something to keep in mind if you're wearing heels or thin sandals. Overall, it's a lovely venue with a unique setting, great for small weddings or intimate gatherings.

The grounds are just sooo beautiful especially when their roses are in bloom. The ceremony area has two areas. One area faces the water and the other is more of a greenery view which both are just wonderful, you don't have to worry about the sun being in your eyes. The bar and buffet were placed right outside the reception area which was kinda nice so the long lines doesn't get in the way of the tables and dance floor. Loved the large glass chandeliers and draped curtain/tent vibes. Food was sooo good. I heard they made their food at the location so it nice and fresh. Tri tip, salmon mash potatoes and gravy with green beans, feta apple spinach salad and bread with butter was the menu. Drinks were white and red wine, beer and cocktail of choice was a berry sangria which was my favorite.

A Dream Venue for Vendors and Guests!…read more I had the pleasure of being a dessert vendor for a weekend wedding at Lakeview Estates & Winery and I also attended the event as a guest. From both perspectives, I can honestly say this venue is exceptional. As a vendor, I felt incredibly supported. The staff was kind, helpful, and extremely accommodating - offering clear direction, checking in throughout the day, and making sure I had everything I needed to set up and serve with ease. It's rare to work with a venue that treats vendors like valued collaborators, but Lakeview truly did. As a guest, I got to see another level of excellence. The entire event ran seamlessly. Last-minute changes (like additions to bar and food service) were handled quickly and without a hitch. The staff was attentive, well-coordinated, and clearly experienced at handling all the behind-the-scenes details that make a celebration flow beautifully. Special shout-out to Melanie, who was nothing short of phenomenal. Her coordination of extra services and flexibility made the whole day feel effortless for everyone involved. The venue itself is stunning, but it's the people who make it unforgettable. I would absolutely recommend Lakeview Estates & Winery to anyone planning an event - whether you're booking, attending, or working it!
