Just finished having a delightful breakfast at this cute "little" diner. When I say little it is...they did try to make the most of what they have but it is tight! We ended up sitting at the counter because there was only a few tables for four inside but it was fine. They did have a nice outdoor covered patio area for dining but it was a little too chilly for us thin blooded Floridians. I had the Fowl Play omelette which had turkey, spinach, tomatoes, and Swiss cheese...it was good! I ordered a side order of sausage gravy, just to taste test, and it did not disappoint...grits and the most amazing grilled biscuit, and only grilled biscuit I have ever had. I like a good throw-back diner establishment and I was in the mood for comfort food, so I searched my Yelp app for nearby places and decided to give Christo's a try. My first impressions were all very positive. There was a nice covered patio area where people were lively chatting and seemed to be enjoying their day, but it was raining and humid so I decided to eat inside. The atmosphere was updated, clean, but still had the diner thing going on. I was greeted by the young lady at the cash register immediately to the left at the door and told I could sit anywhere I chose, so I grabbed a little 2-person booth in the corner. Cozy, clean, and pleasant. Soon my server appeared to take my drink order and brought over a menu. While she was getting my Diet Coke, I looked around and noticed how small the place was. I liked that you could see the cooks behind a 5' wall just behind the cash register girl, who was now immersed in her cell phone. There was a small TV mounted on the wall showing CNN. The server returned to take my order of a Reuben with sweet potato fries, which were a $1 up charge to the regular sides. I decided once she had my order to go wash my hands, but couldn't see a restroom. This is when I learned the restroom was OUTSIDE. After walking around the building and locating the facilities, I was completely grossed out. Remember, it was raining! The bathroom had no a/c and it was a mess. The soap was also empty. The bathroom smelled. Ick. Luckily I keep a small squeeze soap in my purse, so I was able to wash my hands, but now there are no paper towels and I have to dry my hands on my clothes, touch the door to unlock it, and mad dash back out in the weather. Terrible!! Soon after I return to my seat, my food arrived. The meat on the Reuben was sparse, like 2 slices. The sandwich was mostly bread with a little meat, sauerkraut, and what seemed like a homemade thousand island. It wasn't bad, but I have never had a Reuben with only 2 slices of meat in my life. I ate half the food and asked for a box. I paid $12 and change before the tip. Definitely will not be back. Service was great. Food, meh. Bathroom situation, abysmal!! read more

Amazing food and servers! We have had breakfast at Christo's on several occassions and every time they do not dissapoint. Fair prices and good sized portions. My only con is they don't allow dogs:( That being said, I am willing to leave my pup at home to enjoy their food because it is that good. Definitely a spot to hit in the College Park area. read more

We tried this location when Christo's Café was mentioned recently in one of Orlando's food reports. It was a very cute location and we went with our family. My husband had eggs benedict which was a good quality and I enjoyed a tuna sandwich. They brought an actual coloring book to the table for our daughter which was very surprisingly. It is a nice classic diner and we would probably frequent more often if we lived closer. Only negative would be that there are a ton of tables fit into a small space. read more

I love me a good diner, and I'm not sure why it took me this long to try Christo's. The place is small, but with indoor and outdoor seating, our group of four had an easy time finding a spot at the bar last Saturday around lunchtime. The menu covered all the diner breakfast, lunch, and dinner standards, with the addition of specials like gyros. I got the Country Style with eggs, hashbrowns, sausage patties, and, of course, biscuits and gravy. I might have a slight obsession with the ol' B&G, and this hit the spot. The portions were definitely generous, but not overwhelming. The price and the service were also highlights. Courtney worked her magic behind the bar, taking great care of us and coming at just the right moments. The price was pretty amazing--for four people we paid $28. We'll definitely be back. read more

I go to Christo's here and there since I live close. The portion sizes and prices are fair. The turkey omelette with potatoes is a good choice. It's nothing fancy at all and the seating is fairly tight. I also tend to not go there since they do not allow dogs, even when sitting outside. Also the parking lot is tiny, so prepare to park on a random street and walk. Overall it's a decent spot for a quick meal. Personally, I prefer Shakers, across the street. read more

This is by far the best breakfast diner for your money. You can find revolving specials on their white board so there's always something different. Their staff is super friendly and the portions are large and hearty. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating (no dogs though). They also have great lunch options. Old school dinner feel. Great and fast customer service. Food is made fresh and always comes out hot. I recommend trying there burgers you can't go wrong. I think they have the best in town. I've been eating here for over 20 years regularly and the food is GREAT at breakfast and fine for lunch/dinner. The new owner creeped my girlfriend out last time I went so now....it's over Christo's. This guy was leering at her (yes, she's very pretty and was in a summer dress) to the point where she suddenly stood up and said "switch seats with me!". It suprised me because she's used to a lot of attention and handels herself well.....we've been in the bar biz all our lives so she's been groped and stared at by the best (worst) of them! The food selection is huge and servings are always big & you can always split. Busy parking as always so I would always come here on a bike, I've been here few times and would always choose a table outside because Of my dog. But on the last 2 visits, Christos was fully packed and when asked how many we included the dog & that was the only time we were informed that dog isn't allowed. I found out later that you've got to have a permit to allow dog in your business premises so I was thinking maybe they haven't renewed yet or did not renew at all. Nothing in the food I can remember that impressed me. But may still come back next time since the serving is always big. read more

This place is the best dinner in the College Park area but there's not much competition so take it with a grain of salt. The people are super nice and the place is always clean. I've only been for breakfast which is the best meal of the day. I can't comment on the dinner taste due to the "alright" breakfast it really doesn't give me a reason to go back for lunch. I only go here when I forget how "alright" the food is. If you're not picky about your breakfast this is a great spot for you. read more

I can't even give this a one star but you have to give a star rating. I used to come here often almost every Saturday. Even though they have over cooked my hash browns, scrambled eggs and turkey sausage I kept coming back. But this time I picked up some food went home and they over cooked the chicken tenders, scrambled eggs was dry like paper and the waffles was not cooked enough. I called to let them know and said I would bring it back. Once I got there the cashier said we will credit you but they didn't want me to come back because they did not think the food was over cooked. Listen when the chicken tenders are almost black and the eggs are as dry as paper they need to redo the order or credit that customer. The manager didn't even want to personally talk to me. She had the cashier do it. So I asked the manager to step outside. She gave me the worst attitude and told me she didn't think the tenders were over cooked. Then I asked her if I could talk to the owner. She replied back "I am the owner honey." I said have George your dad or uncle call me, she flat out refused. It's so unbelievable the attitude. I was not even yelling which I should of but I am professional who owns a business. I feel the owners ego in this restaurant is very high because they do a lot of business but really they don't care about there customers. This has become a favorite of mine for breakfast! I love the diner feel, everybody is so friendly and the waiters or waitresses are always so nice and attentive. Feels like family. Today was especially "fantastic" as my significant other would say with his feelings towards the silver dollar pancakes' size and taste (syrup-drowning and whipped cream in top). I sneaked a taste and immediately wanted more! This was my first time trying the spinach/tomato/goat cheese omelette and it was delectable! LOVED the goat cheese inside and on top. I was a regular... I came back to Christo's after a while, THE FOOD IS GREAT and the staff is even better. I stopped coming to Christo's because of a few reasons, the owner is obnoxious and rude, I'm talking about the short bald guy that likes to eat behind the counter and the kitchen (very unprofessional). When the staff is busy he is never to take the register and help out, he rathers hurrying the busy servers to the register, and he has been rude to the staff in public... many different people think the same way about him and many people stopped their patronage for the same reason. I guess they are short handed in the kitchen because the manager has been there for a while now, before that, things where way different, Gus was always available to help (even bussing tables sometimes) and the staff seemed more efficient while he was there. I still love Christo's because of their good home cooking and generous portions and the servers a Christo's are attentive and courteous. read more

They always seem to be looking for cooks...we have eaten breakfast there usually on a sunday..i ordered blueberry pancakes two weeks ago..you could count the blueberries. the pancakes were also very thin.. i tried over easy eggs and homefries..the homefries were burnt..the eggs appeared to be thrown on the plate. i was in the french fry business for a number on years..i can not eat their fries..obviously the cook needs advice on french fries.. i fist started eating at this restaurant ten years ago..back then the food was excellent..the new owner will have to hire a good crew to work in the kitchen. i guess i will have to find a different restaurant.. read more

So, word on the streets is this place gets pretty busy on a Sunday. I went to find out for myself and they weren't lying. The place was packed, but a table opened up pretty quickly, so I think I was lucky. I've been on a search for my new breakfast place since moving to this city and I feel like I've finally found one. They have an awesome patio for those who wake up early enough to beat the heat, but also offer a nice a conditioned dining area where you can get all your classics, from Country Fried Steak to your standard 2 eggs, sausage and a biscuit. Great spot. They don't have hot sauce on the table, but if you ask for it, they will bring you some and I've never seen it before, but its great and its a Louisiana hot sauce. read more

We use to come here a couple times a month. It's the best diner in College Park. I am a self proclaimed Eggs Benedict connoisseur and I haven't found another Eggs Benedict as good as theirs (seriously!). Wait staff is very friendly and food service is quick! It was the perfect place to come with our dog and have a late breakfast on weekends. Last time we were there we brought our dog and we were told they didn't allow dogs on the patio anymore :( Apparently someone ruined it for everyone else who likes to take their dog out. Shame on them! We won't stop coming here but I am seriously bummed we can't bring our dog. That was one of the reasons Christo's stood out among the other places in College Park. From a College Park resident who lives within walking distance to both Christo's and Shakers, I'm definitely on Team Shakers for breakfast and Team Christo's for lunch or dinner. For a comfort-food, greasy-spoon dinner, you'll certainly be sated at Christo's. Portions are generous, food is fresh but expected. That's a good thing for a diner. Their burgers are decent, but you'd be much better driving a mile to Five Guys or hitting up Johnny's. Stick with good, stick-to-your-ribs diner specialties like an open-faced turkey sandwich. They serve up breakfast comfort food staples at their very best. Their presentation is very classic so don't expect some fresh, new spin on breakfast food. However, the food tastes fresh and was even better than expected after hearing rave reviews from friends who had dined there. I ordered a bunch of sides (because I'm indecisive like that), but the three things that really stuck out to me were the grilled biscuit (my server suggested I order it and it is not to be missed, yum!), the corn nuggets, and the pancakes. Definitely not a menu with a ton of healthy options, but it's well worth the calorie splurge for their delicious food. Christo's IS College Park. You can stop by at any given time and find a nearly perfect cross section of local residents: the old timers who have lived in CP for decades; the young, yuppie family eschewing a trendier spot for brunch; the hipsters, attempting to reclaim their souls with grease and black coffee after a hard night of partying; and single diners, taking advantage of the small expanse of counter stools. This place has been around forever it seems, and they keep packing 'em in year after year because they understand the fundamentals of a well-run diner. Some of my menu faves are the country style combo (two eggs, two sausage links, homefries/hashbrowns/grits, and -best of all- a biscuit with some of the best sausage gravy in the city), the veggie and ham & cheese omelets, and the country boy combo (two eggs, two pieces of bacon, and four silver dollar pancakes - just the right amount). Unlike other Edgewater Drive diners, Christo's almost always takes the extra step to make their food a bit more special than what you can whip up at home yourself. Round sliced homefries instead of the usual cubes are a treat. Offering to grill my biscuit instead of serving it dry? Sign me up! Instead of just slicing up some ham in the aforementioned omelet, the cooks take the time to throw it on the grill first to give it some extra flavor. It's the little things that make this place hum. Christo's wisely expanded their outdoor seating within the last year or so, which is fantastic because the amount of interior space is quite limited. Service is almost always prompt and efficient (Terry is the best!), and if you can't find parking in the smallish adjoining lot, you have plenty of options on Edgewater or Dartmouth. read more

First of all the smell of the dumpsters by the parking is disgusting but i said well lets still give it a shot. Coffee was good and the service was great thas why i have the 3 stars.
