This place was awesome! There was a little bit of a wait, but it seemed like we arrived just before the rush (10 AM on a Sunday). We had the option to sit outside in their patio area, but being that it is Orlando, the humidity was too much to bear. So we waited about ten minutes inside for a table to open up. The food was delicious and well worth the wait. I had eggs over easy, sausage, hash browns, and toast. My boyfriend had the french toast. It was all so good!! Such high hopes...such disappointing experience. This place had great reviews but the experience and the food was barely average. The place was crowded (we did go on Mother's day breakfast) and it took over 20 mins to get our food. My veggie omelette had canned spinach and mushrooms. Really?? Who uses canned spinach and mushrooms, they are the easiest thing to chop and throw in! My boyfriend ordered the blueberry panckaes and the biscuits and gravy. With tons of great Brunch options in Orlando this is easily in my Top 5!! Here why... the food is amazing the service is casual and friendly, they accommodate groups of 8 or less but there really only 1 or 2 spots for that, so expect a wait for the larger group though Service is fast so you won't wait to long. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun casual brunch location that's not a chain this is the place. Prices are good, food is great the only down fall is the small parking lot but there is plenty of street parking so keep an eye out. Most of the food is average. The salads weren't very fresh. The coffee tastes like water. The veggie burger was alright, but it was just a frozen garden burger. This is the kind of place that after going for a little while you feel like family. It's a great family place nestled right in the lovely college park neighborhood. If it's a nice day you can walk to near by shops/ local coffee places. There are some great vintage designer clothes places as well as antique stores. There is never a shortage of friendly people walking dogs, pushing strollers and jogging. It's a great atmosphere for a diner. There is a lovely outdoor seating area to soak this all in, complete with a bulletin board of local community events There is counter seething available and the standard tables (No booths) inside if you want a truer diner experience. I love that all it takes is to pull my car up and my drink is waiting for me inside. Seriously, the wait staff recognizes my car and they have my drink. Perhaps I frequent it to often; either way, the staff are friendly and seem to really like their work. Try the home fries on the grill with cheese instead of in the frier. (You have to request this. It's not on the menu) Also their grilled biscuits are amazing. This is by far my favorite diner in central Florida. As a vegetarian I find they have good selections in both breakfast (so long as you aren't a vegan) and for lunch/dinner. Their veggie burgers are a favorite of my husbands. My only complaints are: 1) The desert options are not that great. The cakes and pies (with exception of cherry which they rarely have) leave something to be desired. Other people seem to like them okay because they do sell. However, If you don't cake the day it arrives they will still be serving it until it's gone. Three day old cake, not so great. If you order pie you must have it warmed and topped with ice cream. 2) The bathrooms are outside. You have to exit the restaurant and go to the side of the building to use them. It is one stall for women/one for men. The real issue for me is not so much having to walk outside but the bathrooms are not air conditioned and they have no air flow. On a hot Summer day (for that matter a hot Spring or Autumn day) it is very unpleasant sticking to the commode when you sit down. The restrooms are 15 degrees hotter than outside and muggier. When it's 110 outside this really stinks. On the positive side, the restrooms (at least women's) are kept clean and tidy. read more

The somewhat-ragtag Christo's has been a College Park mainstay for years. I don't visit them often, because they seem to be almost always packed. As Yogi Berra is alleged to say, "nobody goes there anymore, they're too crowded." After a sleepless night, I recently had breakfast at Christo's. I had a Swiss cheese omelet with toast and hash browns. The toast and hash browns were fine; the Swiss cheese omelet was fine, but the barely-melted extra slice of Swiss cheese on top seemed unnecessary. Service was amicable. I made it in here today (earlier this week, I was thinking I'd be in on Sunday, but my trip was bumped up a day) and had a great meal. I kept it simple today - 2 scrambled eggs, wheat toast and hash browns. Great stuff, though! I think that, for all of that, the cost was $3.50. My mother ordered a cheeseburger and said it was delicious. It must've been, since she finished all of that before I'd even eaten half of my food. The service was great and the atmosphere inside is still as great as I remember it. (To be honest, I think I'd only eaten inside of Christo's maybe twice ... all other visits, I ate outside.) Don't miss this place! I highly recommend it. I might try going here for lunch next time, though. Christo's has an extensive lunch menu with a little bit of everything. I was tempted to order the veggie gyro (veggie burger, cucumber sauce, lettuce, tomato, onions) but opted for breakfast instead. Oh, yeah - we used our "buy one item, get the second at half price" coupon today, which was a bonus! We only saved $1.75 (half of the less-expensive meal, $3.50), but that's okay! Have been here 3 or more times and have to say that it's hip old, it's neighborhood, and it's no nonsense diner food; I keep coming back. I heart Christo's. I love the fact that they serve breakfast until 3 pm. They also serve a limited breakfast menu from 3pm to 8pm...A great place to cure the hangover blues. I have only eaten breakfast items here. I always order the Country Style $6.50...2 eggs, 2 sausage links, 1 biscuit/gravy, and you choice of potato. The biscuits and gravy are the best I have found in Orlando breakfast eating. Very filling. The eggs are always properly cooked and service always has a smile. Warning: Do not order the home fries... This is a great place to grab breakfast and avoid the chain restaurants in the area. It's a small building with the option to sit outside under a covered area. The parking lot is cramped but on this occasion we didn't have any issue finding a spot. What I really loved about this place was how relaxing it was. You could tell the servers knew their regulars by name and spent time catching up with them. It's also a great place to come alone, eat and read the newspaper. All of this was going on around us as we were seated by the window. I ordered a spinach, cheese and tomato omelet with a side of hash browns and wheat toast. The food came out very quickly and my omelet was stuffed with big leafy pieces of spinach. My toast was burnt but the server immediately asked if it was ok or if she could make me another batch. This is the third time I've been to Christos and I am never disappointed! I always get the eggs Benedict with bacon because that's my favorite breakfast choice and it is made to perfection, the hollandaise sauce is on point and they don't skimp out on it either. The breakfast potatoes are also perfectly cooked and the coffee is pretty good too! The only thing that I would have enjoyed more is if their orange juice were freshly squeezed, it tastes like Tropicana but not bad either. Really disappointed in what I experienced at the Cafe today. They were seating people at a distance but none of the patrons were wearing masks inside. There is no excuse to not wear a mask as you walk through a restaurant, especially one as small as this. If you are not eating you should keep your mask on. That was one thing, but it got worse. Some of the servers and busser were wearing the mask below their nose. I think we all know that is not how you wear the mask, you might as well not wear one. Then to add to it the LINE COOKS were wearing THEIR masks below their nose as well! I witnessed a two of them kept pulling their masks down below his chin as they worked not covering their mouth or nose. One with the SUBVERT hat on had his below his chin at actually took a huge bite of food while working the line! Even when there is not an killer virus going on that is disgusting. I've worked in restaurants a good portion of my life and never been so appalled. That will be my last meal there, it's not worth risking my life. Our server was prompt and helpful with any questions we had about the menu. After seating ourself with two well behaved dogs, the server approached us and said NO DOGS allowed on the patio. She was very nice about it but I blame management for this poor decision. Had brunch here over the weekend. I've driven by this place numerous times and had heard good things about it as well. We sat outside and were immediately approached for our drink order. After we took a long time deciding what to eat, we finally ordered. Our food came in about 10 minutes or less. It was nicely presented, very tasty, and reasonably priced. The tables outside were comfortable, and because it was such a nice day we enjoyed the Central Florida weather.
