The best thing about this location during my trip with the National Brotherhood of Snowsports Summit was Gavin Griffin. My boots were too small and Gavin spent what I felt was an incredible amount of time with me to try and make the boots workable for the duration of my trip because the shop didn't have wide boots that I needed. Gavin recommended where I may find wide boots late in the season, and the search did end up being successful. The new boots didn't feel quite right, so I went back to Gavin (my boot safety net) who hooked me up. Because of Gavin I was able to enjoy the rest of the trip. Just purchased mittens for our toddler the toddler. He chose Hestra mittens that seemed fine for its purpose, so we purchased it (~$67). In the store after we purchased, before we left, we tried to put it on his hands and 1 of the zippers got stock. One of the salespersons replaced that bad mitten. We went out of the store and after an hour when the toddler took off one of the mittens, we tried to put it back, but the zipper got stuck again. We went back to the store; the same salesperson was there, and he tried to fix that unsuccessfully, so he called another person that was able to fix it after 10 minutes. I wanted to replace it with a different brand, but the salesperson suggested that once I left the store it is not replaceable although it was less than a couple of hours since purchase. Same day before the mittens we also purchased for him an overall ($150+). Think twice if you do business with this store - as for myself for sure will not. read more

Service at time of pickup was great for most part. A couple didn't seem to know much about areas. However, returning skis was a total different story. We were going to return to the closest store as we were told could do that but, the employees where just standing there doing nothing and were very put out the all nine of us wanted to do equip at their location. They would take them if we insisted but, would prefer we walk over to another store do this. They didn't want to help at all but would if we insisted. I just spent $1300 for equipment, maybe not a lot to some but it's significant to me. They weren't busy we were only people in store at the time. They were about the inventory issue it might cause. During a ski trip to Keystone, my left ski boot felt like a vice and my foot was in excruciating pain after two hours of skiing. (I have lots of foot issues.) I walked into Christy's as soon as they opened one morning and talked to Dylan about getting my boot expanded (punched out). Less than two hours later my boot was ready (it takes time to heat the boot up before it can be expanded). It happened to be my birthday and the relief made my day. However, the boot still had a pressure point causing some numbness. The next morning he punched it out a little more. He even took the time to explain the process and show me the specialized tool because I asked lots of questions. Great guy. Great service. Great price. The store has a good vibe. Went on Thanksgiving day. Went in store to purchase a couple of snowboard bags. There was no one in the retail area to ring us up. Went to the ski rental area where there was a male employee, tall, skinny, with goatee who was really rude to us. There was a female employee helping some customers find boots to rent, 2 other male employees both working on snowboard bindings with boards. And lastly the goatee guy who was sitting on a stool watching people get fitted for equipment to rent. I asked him is someone could ring us up for the bags and he said we needed to get in line behind 6 people who were being fitted for rental equipment. We don't mind waiting, but why does a store want us to wait on 6 people to be sized up for equipment when we just want to make a retail purchase. That's not even what upset us, it was how snarky the guy sitting on the stool was when he got up, went to the "wait here sign" (which was once again not in the retail area, was in the rental area) and proceeded to say "see this sign right here that says wait here" very snarky. I said, why would we need to wait on all these people to rent out all their equipment when we just need to make a quick purchase and he proceeded to say "this is why we have a line" and just kept being rude and snarky with us while he basically just sat on his ass doing nothing. We took our business elsewhere. I will never rent or buy a single thing from this store again. TERRIBLE customer service. read more

I worked with Freddy and others today while I demoed some Head Kore 93s. When he couldn't get me a new pair, he found a way to get me a demo at a wonderful price. This ski was phenomenal. It is stable on ice and hard pack as well as very lively and easy turning. I feel like they found me my impossible ski. My wife and I were looking for a new pair of skis to leave out west when we visit our son and his family. Discovered CS had a demo program where we could try out new skis for the day and apply the $80 demo fee towards new skis. We tried three pairs of skis and quickly decided on the Nordica Enforcer 94 and Nordica Santa Ana 93. Max and crew were very helpful and got us fit with an awesome pair of new skis and new pair of boots for my wife. Great customer service, competitive prices and great sales at this time of year. Max is an amazing boot fitter! I bought a new pair of boots after being fitted at another Christy's location. I rode them multiple days last season and spent ALOT of time in the Christy's stores in Vail and Bever Creek doing molding, shaping, custom insoles, heal lifts....removing heal lifts......we tried everything! Unfortunately I finished the season walking off the mountian in socks because I was in so much pain. I went to Keystone this weekend and made a run on the boots hoping that MAYBE the adjustments made last year would maybe feel better this season when I was fresh getting on the slopes. After my first long run it was very apparent that was not the case. I came into the Keystone village store and told Max the problems I was having. He suggested that MAYBE these just weren't the right boots for me. I was hesitant to start over breaking in new boots again after such a horrible experience. So he put me in a pair of rental boots to help me decide if there was a form problem, it was just fatigue or if it really was the boots causing all my pain. After I was able to ski in the rentals without the pain I was having I was convinced that I did indeed have the wrong boots. He took some time and helped me figure out the right boots. He exchanged the other ones I had for the new boots. I am in love with the fit and performance of the boots he suggested. They fit perfect without any adjustments. I am so happy that I am finishing out the weekend just a little tired but not hurting! read more

Elijah at Keystone RIver Run is amazing. We initially rented demos at Christy's Dillon where the selection of demos was not good and the demos they had were in poor condition. When we went into Christy's River Run at the end of the day to see if we could trade them in for a better pair we found Elijah and he saved the day, got us onto much better skis. My traveling companion even ended up buying the skis she rented. He could not have been more helpful! read more

I'm so disappointed by this Christy's. I was having issues with my goggles and came in to buy a pair before heading up to the mountain. A young man with long hair and a hat was standing at the front, so I asked for some help finding a pair. He ignored me, so I started reaching for goggles to try on. He then informed me that I'd picked a child's pair and mumbled something along the lines of "if it fits your heads..." then turned away again. Given the fact that everything was already overpriced, I was still willing to buy a pair because I really needed them. I then asked that same employee if they had a specific pair, and he seemed so inconvenienced by my request but pointed out two pairs. I tried to get some advice on other options since these were $30-70 more than the same pair at another Christy's I'd been to, and he flat out told me there was nothing else (there were clearly a bunch of other options). My friend asked the same person if there were any socks that weren't $20, and he laughed at her and said, "yea, you want socks that are more than $20?" I mean, I know that ski bums can sometimes be less than ideal to deal with, but this employee was so rude and arrogant that I went elsewhere. I wouldn't waste my time here again. read more

Wow! Amazing service here! We have been living in Colorado for almost three years and we have never received the service anywhere for ski rentals like we did at this christy's. The guys there went above and beyond to help us with all our kid's needs. My daughter outgrew her snowboarding boots and when they saw her board they were like wait she isnt set up right, so they adjusted it, polished it and waxed it! at no additional cost. They also adjusted my son's skis to fit his boot rental, which copper didn't even let us rent the boots without renting the skis. Also, Banjo, super cute doggie. Can't say enough good things about this place! If you're looking for real expert advice on the gear you need to up your snowboarding/skiing, this is the place to go (and ask for Remi!). Finding snowboard boots that fit AND offer performance has always been a struggle for me, but within minutes of coming into the store Remi helped diagnose the exact issue I'd been having with my boots and spent 30 minutes helping find the exact right boots, then went above and beyond to help custom mold the boots for me (totally on the house too).
