This place is a joke. The lady behind the counter was sitting down and I couldn't see her. After standing there for a while and wondering if someone was there, she got up and my two year old wasn't explaining fast enough what he wanted so she told me to move, rather rudely, so the man behind me could go first... I was with the man behind me. I proceeded to explain what ice cream we wanted. A cup of chocolate with chocolate sprinkles and a cup of strawberry cheesecake. She proceeds to scope a cup of plain strawberry and said chocolate sprinkles on it. I said no, I asked for strawberry cheesecake and she acted like I told her wrong and asked me to take it. I said I'm sorry no, I wanted the strawberry cheesecake. She seemed annoyed but dumped out the cup of wrong ice cream. We got our lousy ice cream and she proceeded to run my card while she starred down at the show she was watching on her phone. The place is a mess. This lady was one of the rudest people I have ever had help me in a small business. We were there to pay money for stuff in this disgusting little hole of a donut/ice cream place. You could at least pretend you care at all. I would have turned around and left and not bought anything but my two year old wanted ice cream and I wasn't up for that battle to tell him we were getting anything. I used to love the original glazed donuts here, always fresh and soft even in the afternoon. Today the lady gave me expired ones. I can totally taste the difference. As close as this is to my work I now make a longer drive into south city to grab my coffee and pastries. Coffee is terrible, they don't empty out the old pot when they have sat for a long time. They simply add more coffee on top of a pot that's running a little low and it gets this odd taste. This isn't a very sanitary place and the owner has literally been on her phone every single time I go to pay so I feel like I'm an inconvenience when I ask for a donut. Stopped by to get ice cream with the kids on a nice day! The ice cream is horrible and old. It definitely doesn't taste fresh and we ended up throwing half of it away. They also tried to over charge me. AND the worst part is the grandma who served us, sat down next to us and put her bare foot on the chair and started picking her toes!!!!! I used to come here ALL the time in middle school. Their doughnut holes were heaven and my mother loved their apple turnover so I would buy them for her sometimes. They usually sold out of them fast though. I don't think I've ever bought anything else here other than doughnuts. I don't know if they've increased their prices but they used to be really cheap. Ran in really quick for coffee and a snack. First off, the coffee is WAYYYY over priced for something i can get at a gas station!!! I got an iced mocha and it was right out of the machines with powder and hot water. 4 dollars for like 16 (NOT EVEN when you take out the ice) of coffee and the powder wasn't even broken up. The apple fritter is kinda dry but still decent. Nothing great. The girl was kinda rude and basically looked like she hated her job and life all together. When I was in high school in Texas, I would pass a doughnut shop on my way to class every day and pick up a small, relatively unhealthy, and completely awesome breakfast. Shortly after I graduated, I moved away and never (more or less) looked back, but I've missed that little doughnut shop ever since. Christy's lives up to the high standard set by that shop. The service is friendly, and the food is excellent. The doughnuts and breakfast sandwiches are the best I've had since my high school days. Four words.....Family owned and operated. I've driven by, walked by and even ran by and never set foot in this gem of a place until about a year ago. It's one of those places that looks a little run down on the outside because the windows are a little dirty, the place looks old and it's small! But I should have known that places like this just have to be good because I watch triple-D and it tells me so!! So I go in one day about a year ago and pick up some donuts for the office and I notice that it's a father/son operation. They both trade off making donuts in the back and they usually come out with hints of flour on their clothes and the aroma is just smellin sweet with donuts in the air. That's 4 stars already. But, they're both cool and mellow and just get business done! So I usually go by every couple of weeks to get a few dozen donuts and I usually tell them a dozen of these, dozen of those, etc. Wanna know what the 5th star is for? The friggin price!!! And the quality and taste of the donuts of course! But damn, i could pick up 2 dozen donuts....PREMIUM donuts....for like 16 or 17 bucks!! I'm not talkin about those old man plain ol donuts or the ones with sprinkles or chocolate dipped ones. Those are for babies. I get the huge twists, chocolate and glazed buttermilk bars, filled twists, giant cinnamon rolls and stuff like that! Man donuts, know what I mean? And the thing is, the quality and taste is better than Rolling Pin and definitely gives a Chuck Norris round-house kick with an eye jab to the likes of those girly donuts they call Krispy Kreme. Nice cheap donuts that are not stale. It has the right crumbly soft texture but still has a crispy skin.

Great spot! Just sometimes the doughnuts taste like day olds, and they don't always have everything if you want to get big orders.

This place is SO good! I have been stopping in here for a maple bar on my way to school for a while now and I love it! The donuts are great and the staff behind the counter are the best. Stopped here on the way to meet my florist. Bad choice. I ordered a lox bagel, sausage and egg croissant, and a large coffee. I should of ran away when I seen her "cook" the sausage and egg in the microwave. Then she asked me to select my bagel. It was in a Kirkland bag. As in Costco store bought bagels. Didn't even try to make it seem like they made em fresh. Then I got my lox bagel. The picture on the wall showed a bagel with lox, romaine lettuce, and alfalfa sprouts. Not the typical lox bagel but it looked good. This bagel was nothing like the picture. It had shredded iceberg lettuce and one slice of tomato. It was horrible. Not to mention this meal for two cost me nearly $18 bucks. Oh and the coffee? The $2 coffee that had no flavor and tasted like instant coffee, I'm better off going to a gas station for coffee. I didn't try the doughnuts or ice cream but based on the quality and price of what I did try, I wouldn't want to. I read an old review of how their croissant sandwich used to cost like $3. Try $7. What a waste of money and stomach space. Do yourself a favor and keep going down 101 for something better. Next time I meet with my florist I'll eat first. read more

If you get one of their apple fritters, you won't be able to stop eating it until it is gone! And the buttermilk, (doughnut like) ones do the same, some are glazed, chocolate and plain.
