The waitress offered to replace the meal but my appetite was gone by then so I said no. Ordered a 3-egg benedict with avocado, noted that "all combos come with holiday sausage". Get my food and it's only 2 eggs, overcooked, and no meat whatsoever. After having to ASK where my other egg and meat was, my waitress said it was a misprint. (WHY wouldn't the waitress inform me of such an error upon ordering, or even when the food was brought over?) Also, "broccoli" was spelled wrong on the menu so if I can give any tip to the restaurant it would be that EDITING is a professional value. I had went to christys restaurant today for the first time. I had an amazing experience with my family. The restaurant was extremely clean and tidy, the restrooms were clean and homey feeling. The waitresses all were extremely nice! The food came out quick and HOT, the menu is absolutely huge with a variety of amazing goodness! I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK! Awesome diner and huge menu for every taste or want. This place is our 'go-to' in Torrington. I know that we will get cleanliness, good service, good food, nice portions, and fair prices. They also make their own tzatziki sauce for their gyros YUM! I don't think i've seen a more fresh salad served anywhere. I have to say this was a pretty bad experience. I went there for lunch and it started out with sour coffee... YES U HEARD THAT RIGHT.. SOUR coffee. And the crazy part was , it wasn't the creamer!!! I told the waitress and her response was..." We have strong coffee, that's probably what it is" ! First off I drink espresso like it's water ..so no.. it wasn't that. I went with my family today as they used to be good and we had not gone for a long time. I open my silverware only to find that it was wrapped in a dirty napkin (what I hope was ketcup) My sister ordered kids Chocolate pancakes, but the waitress told her to just get a short stack, so she did, but when the food came out she was served plain pancakes. The coffee was also cold and the homefries were on the bland side. Also as we were leaving a man ordered his eggs on toast and the waitress told him that she wouldn't do it because it sounded gross... the argued over it for several minutes before the man decided to tell her to do it her way and he would put the eggs on the toast himself. Breakfast is alright, but will never go for dinner again. I asked that the mixed vegetables not be put on my plate, and my wife told them to hold the cole slaw. It took them a long time to cook the food , and the items we asked them to leave off our plates were not left off. I returned my plate to have the mixed veggies removed. When the waiter told the cook this he (the cook) said in a loud voice "Are you serious!" When my plate returned it was cold. A cold open faced turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy is not a tasty meal. My wife also asked for a side of fries, but never got them. The waiter said the kitchen was slammed and this is what caused our problems. I don't think cooking for 10 people should cause you to be slammed, but whatever. We were charged for the fries, and the waiter couldn't figure out how to refund us the $ on our card so he gave it back to us in cash. I don't think I will be returning anytime soon. read more

My boyfriend & I came here for breakfast in the morning, but immediately got yelled at and forced to leave the restaurant. When we arrived we were seated by a waitress but on our way to the table this old blonde woman yelled at my boyfriend for wearing "pajamas" (He was wearing jogger pants) She yelled in front of all of her customers " Don't wear pajamas next time in this restaurant!" Everyone looked at us as if we were doing something wrong! All we wanted to do was have a nice breakfast, mind our own business, and pay for our meal. We felt so unbelievably uncomfortable so we decided to leave right away. On our way out we had to pass her front podium and she yelled again "Oh you're leaving?!?" I responded "yes I don't want to be in a place where we are judged in front of the whole restaurant by what we wear". She responded "Well next time don't wear pajamas!!" I of course told her "There won't be a next time because we're not returning to this place thanks to you". I have never been to a place where you can't eat because you're wearing "pajamas" which he wasn't. The only rule in most restaurants are "no shirt/shoes no service" That old woman needs to learn good customer service etiquette if she wants to keep her customers happy. She just lost customers AND money. Only thing I have to say now is if you don't want to get yelled at in front of everyone by what kind of clothes you're wearing then don't eat here! read more

My 10 year old ordered two things and they were out of both. Then she ordered a cheeseburg thay came out raw. I ordered quesadillias that were dripping grease. Our server never checked on us and just handed us a bill seeing that we never ate our food. I will never go there again and i will be spreading the word. read more
