Oaxaca omelette home fries & green tea

Even if there is a line - WAIT. This place is a GEM! Classic nostalgic diner - with breakfast all day, a huge menu, and retro atmosphere. Big portions. Food & service were outstanding. I got an Oaxaca Omelette (can't resist chorizo) and when ordering tea was offered either black or green! Cant wait to return

Everything is served with pickles and Coleslaw. Still in the area for work and Main Street diner was close to my location as it was just a 3 minutes walk. Looks just like the movies with their 50's styles theme. It's very small, however, very quiet, cozy, clean, and nicely decorated. At our table was a cute little music box dated before I was born. For a small diner, their menu was well crafted and very thick and had a wide variety of options, and it was hard to make a choice. Their hours are 7 am to 2 pm and Breakfast is served all day. I thought it would be 24 hours service but I guess not all diners operate that way. Service from our waiter was excellent, I am sorry I didn't get his name. As we took a seat, our drink order was taken and we were given time to review the extensive menu. Food came out very quickly and was delicious. I ordered the Happy waitress as it sounded fancy and never had anything like that before. It was a grilled cheese with bacon and tomatoes. I was happy after my first bite as when the melted cheese with bacon and tomatoes graced the tip of my tongue, there are no words to describe the taste. I was indeed happy after my first bite My friends had little Italy and the pastrami nightmare and they both enjoyed their meals. This diner is a must check out if you're looking for a breakfast and lunch spot in the area. A week later I made my second visit because it was that good and everything was the same. Great customer service and great-tasting food.

When the MSD was mentioned in the most recent edition of AAA magazine, I had to see what all the buzz was about. First of all, out of the 50's, literally. Very iconic, stools at the counter, some booths, lots of stainless steel, yadayadayada. The menu is extensive, especially for breakfast which is served during all hours (currently 7A to 2P, daily). Tabitha took my order, which was the Hillbilly Omelet (ham, sausage, Swiss and potatoes in an omelet), with "home fries" and rye toast. Coffee found its way to me continuously. The omelet was very good, but I was a little disappointed in the "home fries", which seemed to be small potato nuggets deep fried. I'm more used to fresh sliced potatoes and onions, well-spiced, simmering on the back end of the griddle all day. They also don't serve homemade corned beef hash, which is almost a prerequisite to getting a 5-star rating from me. Service was EXCELLENT. Tabitha handled everything in the front end, even w her broken toe encased in a foam bootie. And she constantly wiped down counters, booths, etc. Very personable, too. Basically a two-person operation. Cook, Tabitha, and part-time dishwasher. And lots of regulars, based on the greetings. Worth a trip.

Super cute diner!! Old fashioned with little jukeboxes at each table (ours didn't work, not sure if they're supposed to) but I loved the ambience. Typical diner food but with many Polish options (kielbasa, Polish skillets, rye bread and more). The coffee we got was ok but the food was good. I got eggs over medium with bacon and homefries, my sister got an egg sandwich on a roll and her husband scrambled eggs with kielbasa and homefries. We all enjoyed our meals which were priced well. It was a good experience if you're not a brunch snob.

This little diner in the heart of Plainville is a really gem! It's definitely my favorite breakfast spot. The food is consistently great and the staff is fun and cheerful. I feel so lucky to live right down the street from this wonderful place. If I had to pick some thing I didn't like about it it would only be the hours. They close at 2 PM but I think they should be open till 3-4 PM. Just a little extra time for those late risers That's it

We've been coming to this diner for years, and I love it. It is very clean and has consistently good food. The service is always fast and friendly. Love the retro design - each table has a little jukebox. They have an extensive menu with all the typical breakfast items and much more. I usually stick to something simple - breakfast sandwiches are delicious. Pancakes are huge and delish. My son recently had the ice cream sundae waffle, which he loved. Highly recommend!

While the wife spent a rare Saturday working from home we decided to give her peace. I'm amazed the reviews don't have this in the 4 category. This place was amazing. The 2 front of house staff were right there bick banks boom. I had the hungry man breakfast the kid the Oreo pancake. We brought home a breakfast sandwich for the wife. Im actually surprised that the kid hasn't asked me to go back yet. We will return. But I also know park on the street they have like 3-4 spaces behind the building. But street parking isn't had in this area.

Really disappointed. First time ordering from here and it was way overpriced. 13.99 for 2 pancakes smaller than my hand. French toast was really chewy and just bland . Didn't come with butter or syrup like it said on the menu.

Looking for an old school diner experience? Look no further than the Main Street Diner. It's a small spot with a couple booths and seats at the counter. Each of the booths has an old school tiny juke box which holds classic songs from Céline Dion to Guns n Roses. The menu is gigantic with pages full of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The portions are large sizes so make sure to come hungry. I have the breakfast combo and my bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was delicious with a good mix of favors.

My wife and I arrived during the relative calm between breakfast and lunch. We noted on the menu insert that numerous favorably priced breakfast specials are offered until 11AM that we missed by 15 minutes. Undeterred we both decided on ordering breakfast with my better half choosing scrambled eggs while I selected easy over. Both included a choice of toast, wheat thank you, and home fries. My eggs were grease free and cooked as requested though the portion of potatoes was on the skimpy side. Her scrambled eggs were overdone after the cook chose to flatten them with a spatula on the grill. Late morning prices escalate at the bewitching hour of 11AM from $1.99 to $5.29 so I would recommend arriving early unless someone else is paying. Our server performed double duty by handling the cashier duties, but managed to promptly greet and serve each table.

The small restaurant was like a deli with several tables inside and a lovely outdoor patio that really elevated its overall atmosphere. We placed our order at the inside counter and grabbed a table outside. Throughout our visit, we experienced extremely pleasant and gracious service from Fina and a young man, both of whom were cooking and delivering the food. Though this caused things to move on the slower side, they really had their system down to a science, managing our meals and the several takeout orders that I saw being collected. The lunch menu had various salads, sandwiches, and burgers on offer. I selected the Chicken Gyro, which used a real grilled chicken breast that had been sliced, rather than those pre-cut strips that always seem to contain fillers. The chicken was a tad dry, but the homemade tzatziki sauce, which was heavily infused with dill, helped to add moisture to the sandwich. I had opted for a whole wheat wrap, rather than a pita, and I loved that they had lightly toasted the completed dish, even with its inclusion of romaine lettuce and diced tomatoes. That method gave the wrap an improved texture and a slight crunch. I sampled a few of my companion's fries, which were thin, crispy, and had a real rustic flavor that resembled potato skins. They were great! Fina's Kitchen was a real gem, hidden among an industrial area and catering to the local businesses. It was a great find!

Greeted warmly by our server, the coffee was served and it was fresh and delicious. I drink mine in black and I could taste the flavors. Some of the best coffee I've had in a long time. Diner style and delicious. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin. The egg was perfectly fried, along with the white American cheese, and tasteful bacon. Unfortunately, the bacon missed the mark, as it wasn't crispy. It was soggy. And the English muffin was very small and un toasted. It seemed to me like it was microwaved. How can you not toast an English muffin? So the sandwich itself was not solid whatsoever. But looking around at the breakfast platters, they look delicious and all of my friends seem to enjoy what they ordered. So just a quick note to the owners and the chef and the cooks, toast, the damn English muffin, please! Crispy bacon would be nothing out of the ordinary to ask This place is solid, looking around at the different orders for breakfast, I look forward to returning again and giving it another shot

The Pomjito is a personal favorite.. refreshing, light, and not too sweet. We also got the oysters and mussels, both solid. The mussel sauce was unique compared to a typical tomato base, which we really appreciated. For my entrée, though, I was disappointed to see that the tuna salad I always order had completely changed. It used to be an arugula salad with Asian flavors and the tuna served on top. Now it It's a Niçoise salad, and the tuna is awkwardly placed on the side. Nothing about the tuna tasted like it did before. I'm usually a sucker for ahi tuna, but this was honestly one of the most disappointing ahi dishes I've ever had. It felt totally incohesive with the salad next to it. I really wish they didn't change the menu so frequently. Once I finally find an entrée I genuinely look forward to, it disappears. That said, we'll still be back for the great happy hour food and solid drinks. Now it's just a matter of finding a menu item I like... and hoping they keep it.

My friend ordered a cheeseburger, the small one, with lettuce and tomato on it, along with I think a lemonade I took a chance on the special which was loaded french fries. Steak fries with cheese whiz, bacon bits, sour cream and a little bit of chives. I also ordered a Pepsi. The bill came to $22 and change for the two of us. Keep that in mind as I further write. The cheeseburger, the quarter pound one, included one little little slice of lettuce and a very thin slice of tomato. The beef on the cheeseburger looked gray, and pink inside like it wasn't even cooked up to temperature. This was absolutely gross, served on a non toasted Sesame seed roll. He thought it was awful. He ate half of it. Now for my loaded french fries.... The french fries were so soggy , that if they didn't look like french fries they could be mistaken for mashed potatoes, loaded with an extremely salty cheese whiz, and what looked like bacon bits instead of natural bacon on top, chives, and sour cream. It would've been nice if there was chili on this instead, but nope. For $7.99, the serving was extremely small, probably good for a six-year-old. Barely edible, I ate about a quarter of it and just pushed it aside saying I'm done. I can't even imagine the salt content that was in this. I know one thing for sure it was extremely high! This had to be one of the worst things I have ever been served in any restaurant. Stick to the hotdogs as they are safe For the money spent, we would've been better off going to Chili's.
