First time visit for me! Place is clean and cute on the inside, a bit small but a nice space! Pastries looked fresh and the glass was free from fingerprints and stains. Service was cool the person helping me was sweet as pie and helpful (I'm dairy free and I'm not a fan of caramel) so they do have dairy free options so don't fret over that. Was recommended a popular drink called the "So Vanilla" and it was just a bit too sweet for me. Had a funky before and after taste. Thought I was going crazy, had my husband try it and it was funky to him too and he doesn't really drink coffee like that. We couldn't finish it so it kinda just sat on my desk all day and I ended up making a coffee at the office. I used to be a barista for about 6 years and I'm a bit of a coffee snob, so maybe it just wasn't for me! Was a bit pricey too at around $8.00 + tip it came out to around $9.25. Not economical to spend money like that on coffee either especially in this current economy. Gave them 3 stars because there does not appear to be much modification you can do to a drink if you don't like something in it or want to add something (wanted a matcha instead and couldn't add vanilla to it and they offered vanilla cold foam *im dairy free :)*). I've been getting the same drink for 8 years and I'm not stopping anytime soon. They specialize in delicious pour over coffees (shout out to the Yay Yay with cream) but all the drinks others I've brought there have moved and they also have delicious items to eat like croissants and Ube bars. Everything I've eaten there has been delicious. Lastly the service and the people. The owners have created an incredibly welcoming environment and I'm always treated special when I'm in there. My dog acts a fool sometimes but she is always welcome no questions asked. Make no mistake. I don't live anywhere near Chill. I had the weirdest experience here and I can't get over it. I got my coffee.. and it was really sweet so I asked how much sugar was in it.. the barista refused to tell me?? She told me this round about answer saying I could order it less sweet- then I said is it just sugar and cream? She's like I can't tell you our ingredients were not required to by law since we're a small business.. did she think I'm going to sell their coffee recipe to a competitor?? lol it was so bizarre and made me feel so weird about my drink- like what's in it that she can't tell me?? The craziest thing was I was retelling the story to a friend and the SAME THING HAPPENED TO HER! When she inquired about the ingredients because of an allergy. Absolutely crazy to not be transparent about ingredients.. I ordered their Ubelicious and got it "Hella Dirty" with Oat Milk! So so tasty and definitely satisfied my coffee craving! I also got their Ube bars. 2 come in one order and they were soft and tasty! Everyone here is always super nice and helpful. My family enjoys going in for tea/coffee. I love their herbal teas and always get them iced. My favorite is the sunshine blend, but every one I've tried has been lovely. My husband really likes their cold brew with either the vanilla or ube cold foam. They also sell baked goods and a couple different kinds of sandwiches. I think I saw egg salad and chicken salad. It's a cute little shop. We were so fortunate to go to the Valentine Tea Party at Chill Tea and Coffee in Brentwood. What an amazing time we had! Apparently this darling shop holds many tea parties to celebrate different occasions like Winter, Easter, Mother's Day, etc. The shop was decorated in such a special manner down to the heart folded linen napkins. Guests were served a generous serving of Tea Time favorites on a 3 tiered tower and 4 different pots of teas of your choice. I am a coffee drinker through and through but even I thought the teas tasted nice. All the goodies and sandwiches were of sizable portions and apparently you can get the sandwiches anytime at the shop not just during their tea time. The owner Yvette was the perfect hostess, present but not present. My favorite kind of person! Her staff was also perfect. We had the best time and would love to go again and again. Also the shop is always open for walk-in guests who need yummy tea, pour over coffee, and amazing pastries. Do yourself a solid and go to one of their shops. I tried the Matcha Ube and it was watered down. I tasted a hint of ube and no matcha so I was pretty disappointed. I took a couple of sips of the Aloha which is supposed to creamy and sweet with macadamia nut, but that coffee was strong. I waited until the ice melted. My cousin recommended the Salted Caramel Matcha so I'll go back and try it when I'm in the area. read more

My 5th ever Yelp review but I have to! I found Chill Tea about a year ago when searching for a new coffee shop that had great coffee and a nice environment for work. I literally drive from Bay Point all the way here because it is that good. The coffee is EVERYTHING. I have tried many, many coffee places and now can only drink decaf so it HAS to be good quality for it to taste amazing. This Mexican mocha is just that! I would love to be able to have a smaller portion, but I understand since they only do pour over it's one standard size. Which is honestly fine especially if you're looking for some caffeine!! I had high hopes for this place but my fiancé & I thought it was just okay; not the best, not the worst. I had an iced Original Blend - Yay yay coffee with Oat milk & some Stevia as well as an Ube Bar, while my fiancé had ordered a "High 5", which was their version of a white chocolate mocha. The High 5, according to my fiancé, was a little too strong. When I had tried it, I thought it was alright, maybe just had to be a bit sweeter. My iced coffee was just alright, as well. It was a little strong but that's how I prefer it anyways lol. The reason why I say it's just okay is because it doesn't taste much different from other coffee shops or even coffee I could make from home, & for the price of $7.25, I felt that it was not worth it. What gave me a reason to give it more than a 2 star is the Ube Bar. As a Filipino, it tasted amazing. The consistency was in between a cake & a brownie, almost like a dense cake. It was the perfect sweetness that went well with my coffee. Although it was $5.00 just for a small portion, it was great and probably can't find it anywhere else, I loved it. I loved everything about this place. It was my first time here and the cashier was very patient and helped my friend and I through the menu. We ended up having a conversation afterwards tooo, and I loved their overall energy and positivity! My friend ended up getting the guava chiller with coconut milk, and I got the green apple chiller. They made another drink by accident, and the cashier immediately noticed and had it remade :) The guava chiller was very subtle, and not artificial tasting at all, so my friend liked it a lot! Ordered a regular chai and blueberry muffin. I love that chai had a lot of cinnamon it was very hot and took a while to be cool enough to drink but was worth the wait. The muffin was delicious and moist even after having it warmed. The customer service was great. They new it was my first time in and told me a little about their shop and the event they have and let me know where to park the next time I come (online order parking is fine for to go orders too). I love this place! It's cute and it's a sheikh. It's quiet at times, it's a cool place to hang and have coffee or tea with a friend. Which by the way they have a few different flavors of tea. While you're hanging out please try their Ube pastries because they are very good. That is if you're into purple yam or taro I should say. I love love their Ube Bars, it is so moist and buttery I just love it. They also have Mochi Bar, Ube POP-Tart and Ube truffle! To me this is Ube heaven! So just a little tip.
