Friendly staff and tasty food at good prices - what more can you desire from a place? I really enjoyed having the mini burrito, which is probably just a normal sized burrito, as opposed to the giant ones some places opt to serve; it was a nice change to have the option. I went vegetarian for my meal and appreciated that the man preparing my food pointed out that the Spanish rice was cooked using chicken broth in case I was a strict vegetarian (which I'm not). The owner took the time to say hello and express his excitement about bringing this California eatery to the East coast. I just recently moved to Alpharetta in December 13th. My closing was taking longer than expected, so when we broke for lunch I looked up on Yelp what was close. Chronic Tacos came up, so I decided to give it a try. I have now already been 4 times since ( currently 12/27) The beef and chicken are very good. They have different ways they top the tacos. Great food and service! Ive been here many times and food/service always consistent. I have a gluten allergy and the tacos and tostadas are a great option. Meats are always freshly cooked and their portions are pretty big for street tacos! I came in for super-late lunch today and the owner asked every diner for feedback. Ordered the family 4 pack of tacos. The amount they give for the tacos is NOT enough for 8 tacos. When I called the restaurant, they stated they measure it to how they do their tacos in the restaurant. Be weary, it's not enough for four people when you order. I'm always on the lookout for a good taco spot. I happened upon this place by accident, but I'm so happy I did. The tacos are so delicious I tried the chicken and the steak and they both were so well seasoned. Unlike some taco places the steak was definitely steak and had the look taste and texture of steak. The setup is very similar to Chipotle in that you pick a rice, protein, vegetables, and sauces for your taco, bowl, etc. The Gringo style tacos were my favorite. Oh they even serve beer for those beer and tacos people out there. So I had their deliciously marinated chicken bowl. Their white queso dip tasted better and better after every bite. My Hubz got the chorizo breakfast burrito and shrimp taco. The breakfast burrito was loaded with chorizo eggs and potatoes. He was surprised at how large the burrito was. Our picky 2 year old daughter had to help him with that burrito and she loved it so much she wanted it all to herself. Unfortunately, we've returned 2-3 more times and the quality of food has never been as good as our first visit. I've ordered the breakfast burrito every time and it gets greasier every visit. However, my friend dragged me out to try it, and I was happily surprised! I got 3 carnitas tacos, and I loved them! Picky about dryness of your meat? THEY GIVE YOU UNLIMITED LIMES! Happened to be in the area and had to check this place out! The line was long but moved pretty quickly! Perfect amount of time for me to change my mind a few times since I'm super indecisive! Ended up getting the surf and turf burrito which was great! I also got chips and queso which they guys I was with loved, I wasn't the biggest fan of the queso but the rest of my party ate it quickly. My boyfriend and I wanted to get dinner before our movie and we decided to get tacos at this place. The place seemed pretty empty and so the wait for our food was pretty quick. I got my food and it's alright but the pork is dry and hard to chew, and the corn tortilla was seriously lacking. But my boyfriends experience is what is giving this place a one star review. He ordered a quesadilla with steak, the lady doing our order wasn't speaking clearly and so when asked if he wanted sides he asked her to repeat what she said, the lady then turned to her friend working the register and starting to make fun of him in spanish. My boyfriend is bilingual and is a white looking Latino. The fact that they would speak poorly to a customer in front of them is ridiculous and we will never come back. read more
