You can tell a lot of care goes into both the menu and the overall dining experience. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. The aesthetic is modern, inviting, and perfect for a date night or dinner with friends. The outdoor patio adds to the ambiance and makes the whole experience feel even more special. What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. I believe the owner was outside greeting guests as they arrived and made a point to thank and acknowledge everyone as they left. That personal touch is rare these days and made us feel genuinely appreciated as customers. Excellent food, beautiful atmosphere, and outstanding hospitality. They have no parking, so we found a meter on Ventura Blvd. We walked in at 6:50pm and were greeted by Renee (one of the owners) who asked if we had a reservation. We didn't, so he offered us 2 seats at the bar. At first I was a bit hesitant since I was hoping to have a table service meal. Renee encouraged us to try the bar, saying it's still a great experience. Well, he was right! We got 2 nice seats at the corner of the bar and thankfully it wasn't too stuffy. Liana was working the bar and she's also the lovely girl who took care of us during our dinner. She was so sweet, pleasant, kind, knowledgeable and hardworking. She was able to expertly answer all our questions and made sure we were well looked after. She also kept our water glasses full throughout the whole dinner. We ordered quite a few different items and every single dish was OUTSTANDING! There seriously wasn't even one thing we didn't like. We devoured the crumbs on every plate. To start, we had the Dátiles (warm dates with Manchego cheese), followed by the Mushroom Pintxos (Mushroom and Goat Cheese Toast). We actually ended up ordering another order of the toast since I loved it so much. The dates were also delicious, and this is coming from someone who doesn't even like dates. Next up was the Tortilla Española, a classic Spanish dish. It was piping hot, fresh out of the skillet. Nice and fluffy inside, with some spicy aioli on the side that complimented it well. We also got the Calamares a La Plancha, which was also very flavorful and fresh. I'm a huge fan of seafood but never had calamari prepared like this. It was definitely a different experience than the deep fried version I'm used to, but I loved it all. The Gambas Al Ajillo was the next appetizer and it was simply fantastic. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor. The sauce it came with was so yummy that we saved it to pour over the rice in our entree, the Carne. It's a hanger steak that comes with chimichurri and fries, however we asked for a substitute of rice instead of fries. This steak was cooked to PERFECTION. It was medium rare, just like we asked, and it was top notch quality. The rice and chimichurri also tasted great. It definitely hit the mark for a carnivore like myself. I will say that the wait time between the previous course and the steak was a bit long, and Liana apologized for it before we even said anything. We also shared a Red Sangria and it was DIVINE. It is clear to me that Unidos is a place full of love and passion. It's a very classy place, but in a very modern and relaxed way. It's chic, stylish, and sexy. All the food we ate is proof that everyone in the kitchen loves what they do and cares about what they put on your plate. Everything was super fresh and great quality, and I'm not just talking about the food. The service from everyone was superb! Starting from Renee, to Liana, to Gloria. She was the food runner for the whole restaurant by herself and she was doing an excellent job, quickly and efficiently getting everyone's food to the correct tables. Prices are a bit on the higher end, but appropriate for the quality of food and service. It was worth every penny and we will definitely be back! The food is great, tastes good but I have one major problem. It's always freezing cold by the time I sit down and eat it. First time was 3 days after they first opened. I didn't see the food steaming hot, but they put it under the heat lamp thing for about 30 seconds. Sit down, freezing cold burrito. Second time got the burrito again, the food was steaming behind the counter so I thought "yes it's gonna be hot this time" also they put it under the lamp again for about a minute. Waited about 2 Minutes in line, got the food, again freezing cold. Idk if it's their air conditioning (which is like 60°) if that's what is making my food cold, if they are too slow to serve it, or if it's just cold to begin with. But something needs to change. It's called Chronic Tacos not el farolito don pepes or other mexican sounding names so Yes this is americanized or not so much authentic mexican food. That doesn't mean the food can't taste great, which it does for the following: fish tacos, steak tacos, burritos any flavor, and potato tacos. I have not tasted other items enough to form a opinion yet. The price matches the size and it is customizable. I will definitely keep going back when I crave that specific flavor. I did not give 4 stars because It seems they're getting sloppy or careless or perhaps need more staff. They must fix that issue so that it doesn't affect other areas like flavor or customer service. read more

Used to love this place, but they have changed. They have a special for 2 tacos for $10. I always order Carne Asada and it comes with guacamole. This time, the girl charged extra for carne asada and charged extra for the guacamole without telling me. It always comes with a drink and today she told us we could only get a coke, not the orange bang like we always get. Very disappointed. The cashier just added all these costs on to our bill without telling us. The sign said each meal was $10 and we were charged $30 instead of $20 + tax. Excellent food. So glad they re-opened. I missed it while they were closed. I totally agree that it is freezing inside. I usually can't wait to leave because I am so cold. Really wish they could would turn up the A/C to make it more bearable for the customers. I know that the employees are hot because they are working so hard, but there has to be a medium temp that would be comfortable for everyone. They need to consider the customers too. I have asked for them to turn up the temp, but they have said they can't do that. I would definitely give them 5 stars if they did. read more

Don't bother. Since Covid it's gone way down hill. Today I walked in and some Di#khead in a cowboys hat just looked at me and walked away. Didnt even recognize that a customer walked in. He then went into the kitchen to stare at the grill. Then back out and ignore me. I looked at the food and all the lids for the containers were thrown to the side with the food drying out. If the person serving food is being trash, I wouldn't trust the food to be any better. Left and went to chipotle across the street. At least there they want business. read more
